Freedom Home Remodeling did some siding repair work on my house in July. I sent them a check in payment in September, but the check never showed up in my bank statements as having been deposited. I called them about six times to confirm they had received my payment and left messages each time, but they never answered the phone or responded to my messages. They seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
I hired them to do some windows in all it was about 22k. I came in off a referral and right after taking our deposits we did not hear from them for months. To be fair they did tell us it would take about 6-7 months for the windows to come in. We hear back from them in about that time frame so all good for the time being. Windows are installed and for the most part great work. Have to give credit where credit is due. Sadly one of the windows to be installed breaks, things happen and was even offered a discount to make it right.
My main issue comes with how it was handled next. I was asked to do a walk through with a tech to basically make sure the work was done right. Sounds good, take my lunch and meet him. He was a certificate of completion form he wants me to sign and fully expected payment for a job that wasn't done.
I end up speaking with a manager who handles the situation relatively well but hasn't showed up on the date agreed upon.
it started out really optimistic but it hasn't ended well
Ann D.My experience with Freedom Home Remodeling was top-notch! Everyone that I came in contact with provided exceptional service. They did not skimp on the details and services provided. The Hardie board siding and Cool Life paint on my house exceeded my expectations. Ben, Aaron, Paul Jr., Maria & the crew were all professional and very knowledgeable about the services provided. I plan on using Freedom for my next project (upgrading my windows).
feel like I have been taken advantage of by this company. It cost me $20k to replace half the windows on my house and it didnt even include new framing. That was my fault for not asking more questions before signing a contract. About 5mo later is when the windows actually got installed, in which one of the windows had a small crack in it and the installers left hard to remove smudges from handling on all the windows. The temperature that night after install ended up dropping to freezing temps and caused the crack to go from one end to the other. I called and told them the situation and they said they would get the warranty to replace the cracked window and send someone to clean off the smudges. Someone came out to get the information for replacement but said they couldnt start working on it until I signed the certificate of completion. Two and half months later I still have a cracked window and no one has come out to clean off the smudges. I have tried cleaning the windows myself but the smudges will not come off with widow cleaner and elbow grease. I have contacted the company several times and every week they tell me theyre sending someone to clean the windows but no one shows up, and they cant give me any updates on the replacement window. They are very nice people, but as a company I do not recommend them.
Haley B.In 2022 if a woman says she is the decision maker and you still insist on meeting with my husband after I tell you he isn't available you don't get my business. It's a shame as we are looking to do a lot of work. Kitchen, 3 bathrooms, all floors, roof, and siding. Glad I didn't waste my time given your bad reviews here.
Jody R.I do have a no soliciting sign at my door, but the sales rep was super nice so I talked to him through the speak easy. I am a woman, and the guy spoke directly to me never asking for anyone else. Someone came out the next day at the specified time. He, too, was extremely nice. He didn't waste my time. I only had a small 10 foot section that needed replacing, and it wasn't the type of style or material they use so no time was wasted. He called his boss to confirm it wasn't a job for them. These guys are very friendly, smile a lot, and are respectful. If I had a job for them, I would've hired them. I have no idea what prices are like.
Cindy C.They are going door to door soliciting, I have a sign above my ring door bell that says ""NO Soliciting"" but the rang it anyway, when I got home the kid saw me pull into my garage and attempted to follow me into the garage ...I explained I was not interested and made him aware of the sign ..bit he didn't are ..I then asked him to get off my property and he refused...I explained it was private property and he could stand in the street if he wanted bit I was asking him to get off my driveway...he was a punk and and didn't want to leave ..until I threatened to call the police and bring my dog out!!!
This is completely unacceptable...This company should be ashamed!

No communication between workers and their supervisors. Some wood on eaves rotted was informed that if they knew they would have replaced it for free. I had to have another company come out and replace the wood. Nails everywhere!!! Called once to complain,no one ever came out, should not have to call again.Rear roof has holes in the flashing against the wall. I asked for a few extra shingles in case I needed them later,no shingles.

These company doesn't like working with women! Not a woman friendly business. I asked for an estimate and they asked if a man was available one they worked up an estimate. I said was the homeowner but since I couldn't give them a date on when I wanted them to start and I didn't have a man available to talk to them, they wouldn't provide me with the estimate.
Elissa S.Our house had the same masonite exterior since its first owner, and we needed new siding. Freedom Home Remodeling came knocking door-to-door. I feel like I should deduct half a point from my rating because we have a ""no soliciting"" sign on our front door, but the salesman rang our doorbell anyway. My husband actually listened to his spiel and agreed to a walkthrough, since our siding was looking pretty shabby and replacing it was on our to-do list. Plus, two of our neighbors had been serviced by Freedom and vouched for their professionalism and a job well done.
We confirmed that their company could do the job, and so, in a week or two, they started their work. It's a huge job, replacing siding. They crack open your house like an egg and then replace everything with Hardie board. It took about a week and a half, slowed down by a little bit of rain, and they painted it to our specifications. The job looks beautiful and it was well worth the money.
But I do feel there were a few tiny snags in our experience with Freedom. They weren't very communicative once the work started -- their workers left one day and didn't return the next, probably because of rain in the forecast, but how were we to know? It would've been nice to have been updated on this. Also, halfway through the job, a worker asked me if they were supposed to replace our front door. We had never discussed this with our sales representative or anyone else, but the worker had a piece of paper with our address on it that said our front door would be replaced. However, the name on the paper was not ours. So I think the mixup shows a bit of chaos on their end. (We did not replace the door.)
It's worth noting that the workers stripped off our old rain gutters and tossed them, so we have been without gutters since our siding has been replaced. When a gutter guy came to give an estimate, he said that our roof edges had been shoved up (probably when Freedom's workers replaced the fascia) and not smoothed back down. We need to get this fixed before the gutters can be installed. Hopefully Freedom will do it for us (we have not contacted them about this yet -- but I will update this review when I hear back).
