Frank Fiala and Steve Exline grew up in the East Bay. We founded Frank Fiala Roofing in 1989, and incorporated it in January 1994. Their prior work in roofing and carpentry gives them a collective experience exceeding 50 years.
Starting with residential roofing, they have expanded the business to cover commercial, industrial, multi-tenant apartments, and condominiums. At present, our business consists of roughly 50% condominiums, 30% commercial, and 20% residential roofing. The work ethic of ""doing it right the first time,"" which began in 1989, is still our core value today.

Babyee B.I called the guy who ran the roofing job a couple of years ago and the roof looked great from the time they did it. A home inspection recently revealed a small section had pulled up a bit. Also revealed that the overall job and roof looked great except that one area. Frank heard me from the gate and dispatched Gilberto, a very good worker, to the house within 2 days to fix that section and he did a very good job. Showed us pictures of everything and we are totally satisfied. I was particularly impressed how Frank prioritized our case despite the 2 years gap from the original work. Thank you guys!! Giving 5 stars for sure.
Tristan T.This roofing company is quite bad. The condo company hired them for roofing job where I live and they nailed holes through my balcony ceiling. When I complained about it, they did nothing for 2 weeks. I finally had to call manger Steve Exeline at Frank Fiala Roofing. He didn't even return my call, just sent some guy over to 'fix' my ceiling but the guy did a horrible job.
How horrible? He used spackle or caulk to fill in the holes but then just painted right over the wet sealing without letting it dry first. So, that spread the sealant all over making a mess. Further, he didn't paint the entire ceiling, just touched it up. It frankly now doesn't look any better than when there were holes there.
The guy wasn't very communicative, and very standoffish. Maybe he didn't speak or understand English very well.
Richard A.Used this contractor a few years ago. First he tried to really up charge me after he started job. Now, years later I am having plumbing problems because his workers put roofing materials down the vent pipes, eventually working their way down and clogging the plumbing. DON'T use this guy!

good job! That was 8 years ago! I know my roof was put on right. Would call Frank again if I needed roof work. His bid was a good 15% less than guys on this side of the Bay.
