I purchased a pole barn from Reeds in Sulphur about $50,000. The materials were not an issue. Reeds got whatever their contractor needed but the contractor they used was horrible. I think it was Mitchell something never could get a straight answer and the vehicles never had company names on them. No craftsmanship most of the workers appeared to be on drugs. They would work a couple hrs then not come back for a week or two. Show up after dark with no warning after being unresponsive for weeks. Took several months to complete (I was told a week or so at purchase). Left personal trash everywhere. I picked up 4 large trash bags of bottles, ice bags and food wrappers. Did not clean up the leftover metal or wood scraps. I had to haul it off myself. Two trailer loads. Scratched or dented and replaced too many panels to count. Left trash and scrap on the roof. I had to make them repair leaks multiple times. Would never use them again! I finaly just paid Reeds locked my gate and made the repairs myself to keep them off my property. Terrible contractor employed by Reeds beware if you go with them. Reeds never inspected or even looked at the building purchased through them. Very disappointing...Definitely look elsewhere!

I wish I could say something more positive, but I can't recommend this company. I purchased a 30'x40' pole barn kit from their office in Horseshoe Beach, FL. During the purchase process I asked why their buildings were so much more expensive than some of the others. The reply was that they didn't just sell a kit but made sure the building was erected correctly by experienced tradesmen. This turned out to be untrue. The person they put me in contact with, Mr. Bruce Baker, would not return my phone calls. He only came to the jobsite once. He tried to add additional charges to work on the pad. When I objected, he left and never returned. The whole process took over three months before I had to look for another builder. The next builder they recommended came by and said he would give me a quote. But I never heard from again, either. Finally I started calling builders and found one that go the job done. However, it took 4 months and all the time my kit was sitting out in the weather waiting.

Communications were very poor once the sale was made. I even emailed the main office in Mississippi to ask for help. Here is the exact quote they sent me:

""Pertaining to the builder/contractor to assemble the materials we supplied you, it is your responsibility to contact the contractor we suggested on the quote provided. Reeds Metal Inc is not liable or responsible for any work, pricing, or services done by the contractor. We only suggest a contractor base on their work performance and as a courtesy.""

In other words, after they sell the kit you are entirely on your own. For which I rate them one star.

I ordered some material from Reeds Metals to finish up a building. The sales rep was very helpful and I was able to get my material the same day. Which was the best part. I highly recommend Reeds to anyone.
