My initial contact with FSR was in the midst of the COVID pandemic but with all the uncertainties of COVID we put the reroof for our patio roof on hold. A complete roof replacement had been done on the home about 15 years ago. The building code did not permit the metal roof to extend over the patio because of the patio's slope and modified bitumen roof installed. Over time a corner area began to lift and a small area along the flashing began showing a small leak in a bedroom. The roofer had gone out of business and we couldn't get a response from the product warranty so the search began for a roofer. We learned not all roofers do the repair we needed and not all roofers are interested in anything less than a full roof replacement. My initial quote was in 2021 and I reached out again to FSR mid-January 2024. The cost increase from the initial quote was anticipated but completely reasonable. The final inspection was approved in the second week of February. The process could have been even faster if we hadn't taken so long to sign the documents. Our experience with FSR was fabulous. Everything was done via email, text, cell and DocuSign. Communication was excellent.

FSR did all permitting with the county. Once a start date was established it was completed on day two as projected and the final inspection completed and approved on day three.

We know as our main roof ages who we will call when the eventual replacement is needed. It was a great experience and we would recommend FSR without reservations. Thank you Daniel C for an awesome experience.

UNIQUE REVIEW: I contacted Florida Standing Roofing today for an estimate for a standing seam aluminum roof. After providing the address, the gentleman (who I believe is the owner) informed me that they no longer do work on Miami Beach, which I completely understand given how difficult the city can be to work with. So, I took the opportunity to ask this gentleman some specific questions about aluminum (and metal) roofs: (1) type of underlayment to use, (2) the cost per square of metal vs aluminum roofs, (3) plywood vs tongue and groove, if rotted wood needs replacement.

Unbelievably generous and considerate with his time... he spent 15 minutes with me patiently answering each question directly, without any runaround. Extremely impressed with him and his willingness to help educate a consumer, who he knew would not be using his services.

From this brief exposure, this company is certainly right at the top of the list of any roofing contractor that I'd consider hiring. Unfortunately, it's very rare in today's world for others to give of themselves, expecting nothing in return, simply to help out another person. That alone was the impetus for me to write this review, despite the fact that I've never used them and, of course, can't since they don't work in Miami Beach.

It's hard to find a roofing company that will give you a fair price, won't cut corners, and not use cheap materials to fix a roof. I had a major leak in my home and Florida Standard Roofing was able to fix the problem swiftly. The owner, Daniel, even came by to explain exactly what caused the leaked and walked me through the process they use to fix it. He also showed me the materials he uses to fix the leak. I have had no problems since. I had also recommended them to my father-in-law for a similar issue and they were just as great. I truly recommend this roofing company.

Let me start by saying that I am really paranoid about social media and having my personal info visible to the universe. But I had such an incredibly awesome experience with Florida Standard that I created an anonymous yelp account just so I could shout out about how great they are.
Here is what they did for me: Removed 3-tab shingles and underlayment from hip roof on single story home (roof = 19.2 squares; house = ~1400 sq ft), replaced rotten wood, and installed Dade-approved standing seam metal roof system. Handled permitting with local municipality and procured all materials. Upon completion of job, furnished installation warranty and registered me for manufacturer's warranty on metal panels.
Messrs. Crespo (owners) and Escobar (foreman) were prompt, patient and always responded with alacrity and integrity to my incessant questions. Not an easy task, given how hands-on and detail-oriented I am! They know their trade and are articulate when discussing the installation, materials, and permitting processes. I never caught them in a lie as I have other contractors. Their laborers are punctual, diligent, efficient, meticulous, and have a great sense of humor. Dad and son are on the job as well and run a real tight ship! And their license is old--no wonder they know what they are doing! They attend to details while getting the job done fast!
I am so glad I hired Florida Standard! Their prices are fair, their workmanship outstanding, and their patience with customers unending. They are honest, ethical people who never attempted to ""force"" a sale but rather worked with me to draw up a contract that met my needs and budget.
As a jaded, over-vigilant single woman who has been taken advantage of in the past, I approach all contractors with a microscope and sword. The Crespos and their team met my exacting demands for quality, integrity, and professionalism. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants top notch roof work done by honest folks who put the customers' needs first. Go Florida Standard! The best roofing company in South Florida! I contracted Florida Standard Roofing to completely re-do my roof (shingles). I spoke with Daniel Crespo who showed me various samples and explained in detail the differences in each. He gave me step-by-step details of what the process would entail, he pulled all permits and made the process extremely easy. The workers were extremely detailed and organized and the overall process was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend this company.
