if there were no stars that is where I would rate this company. they are insurance scam artists who are killing the homeowners with fraudulent liens placed when the homeowner refuses to sue their insurance carrier. They mark up their work after it is done and then want the homeowner to pay the difference which then becomes a scam in itself. Con artists at work!

In 2022 their rep came to my house. She had signed contracts with 2 of my close neighbors. After I explained I had $0 money and income is less than $1k mo, she insisted they would accept whatever homeowner ins paid as long as I paid them that plus deductible. When I paid them I said this isn't nearly enough but rep insisted I owed nothing more. I wrote paid in full on my check and was to receive roof documents and receipt in mail. I received nothing. No estimate, receipt, warranty, nothing. Months later, I got registered letter saying they placed a lien on my house for $14,000. They did same to one neighbor and 3rd neighbor is wants to cancel contract but they won't return any phone calls from any of us.
When I had soffit repaired the contractor asked if there is a reason the new roof was installed over the rotted wood.
I am 77 yrs old and $984 mo income and now will lose my home because I can't qualify for a loan. They knew my circumstances and repeatedly lied on a dozen occasions to get me to sign a contract, put lien on house, and won't return calls.

Do not use this company. If I could give them a zero I would. The sales rep Adam Mercado came walking down the street asked if he could check out my roof (which at the time I was unaware was illegal for roofers to solicit their business and comes with a $10,000 fine which I will be looking into). Anyway I did inform him I was a person with a cognitive disability as well as being a senior and I was on a fixed income. No worries he said. The insurance will cover it and you will only have to pay your deductible and we can bill you in house $50 month. Liar! He had me sign a contract that did not have any figures on it because it said it would go with the insurance total loss report. Liar!. We started this on 2/27/23. They got handed the first check 5/3/23. The roof was put on 7/17/23 in one day and the inspection failed. On 7/28/23 there accounting person wanted payment in full even though the roof failed. They refused to deal with insurance and put a lien on my home. Now it's lawyer time. DO NOT HIRE THEM. BAD COMPANY!!!!

DO NOT USE!!! THREATENING me (a senior citizen) and NO FOLLOW THREW. They came and said I was signing a paper to see if the insurance would cover the roof and how much I would have to pay. They never came back or called me again. 1 Hurricane and 1 Tropical storm later still no call/no show. I hired another company and they came right over and covered the area were the shingles were missing and arranged to come back in two weeks to replace the roof. This company shows up and states that they are going to sue me for 30% of the cost of the roof. I told them that they ghosted me and that I needed to fix the roof to prevent damages. They said that they will send the letter to their corporate office and that they will be suing me. They claim to be veteran owned - well this veteran feels used and abused and will fight if need be.

After a big pitch about how they would only charge the deductible and work with the insurance company on the rest they put a lean on my house. Honesty and integrity are not their strong suit. Do not buy their bullshit nor contract with them.

I have written a previous comment this company. The 1st one acknowledges the fantastic job done by the Salesman,
Austin Waugh. Now I want to follow up with my 2nd review.
This time is about the Regional Sales Manager, Jimmy Rushford. I was experiencing a few bumps in the road regarding some issues with the Homeowners Insurance Company. Jimmy got in touch with me and informed me not to worry as he will handle everything to make it right. I have to say I was genuinely impressed on how quickly he took the reins and is now working with us to settle the matter. He held my hand from the very beginning of our 1st conversation to present. When I say he took charged, he actually made an appointment with me & my husband and came personally to our home. Imagine I surprise when he actually showed up and on top of that, educated us on the contracts between our insurance claim and their contract with the insurance company. Hey, I am a native from New York and I am the type that wants to see the ""CARFAX"". I understood what we can do for the company BUT I wanted to what can the company do for us. Step in Jimmy Rushford. I promise you that you will not get any better service and care. He is an unique person and was a definite BLESSING to us. When you want the BEST, you want Jimmy Rushford, FL Roof Specialists Regional Sales Manager and his Sales Team. They are the GREATEST.

From the beginning of this process to the year later when the roof actually got put on it's hard to imagine a more deceitful, unprofessional company on this planet.

I had a leak in my roof and called them to come out and take a look. The salesman Jimmy came out and let me know that they would tarp the roof, and we would go through the insurance company and get a new roof put on. Told me it would be no cost to me out of pocket and they would make sure my deductible was covered as well. Signed a contract (learned to read the fine print from these fine gentleman as well... If you sign their contract you are legally bound for them to put the roof on if you get an insurance check or you have to pay exorbitant fees to get out of it and they will place a lien on the property) and filed an insurance claim the same day.

They them proceeded to tarp the roof poorly and the next storm the water continued to pour through the ceiling. They came back out to tarp it again and somehow made it worse so when the next storm came through it now leaked through multiple parts of my ceiling and caused far more damage than the initial leak did. Third time was a charm and finally the water stopped pouring in my house at least.

After that came a year of back and forth between them and the lawyer and insurance companies because noone could figure out how to communicate and send needed documents to each other. I wound up having to spend countless hours calling each place to get them to send each other what was needed. Annoying but not the end of the world.

Then came time to finally put the roof on the house after a year and finally getting the insurance check. Well sort of... I had to take two different days off work to run around town because they refused to sign the paperwork my bank required to cash the check the first time around.

We picked out our shingles and roof options and was promised the flat section of our roof would be built up to a small drainage pitch because that is code and we would no longer have a zero pitch roof when they were done. This was not actually done and when I questioned it I was told ""I should've got it in writing, you have a roof that passed inspection.""

The next rainstorm the skylight leaked all over the kitchen and drywall and the only person I dealt with in the entire company with any kind of actual sense, Colby had his crew come out and fix that ASAP. Would have been nice to not have a leak after a new roof got put on but I'd like to at least shout out the good guy out of all of this for getting what he could do taken care of.

I called the office to complain about the work not being done that was promised and that I'd like them to build the pitch on the flat portion and complete the job. I was told by Dottie that she would bring it to the owners attention and get back with me. I never heard back from anyone, but I did receive a notice of a lien being placed on my house instead.

They never did come out and finish the job they promised and instead took legal action to make sure they got paid for an unfinished job knowing full well the average person doesn't have the time or means to challenge the legal proceedings.

I truly hope the new insurance laws cause companies like this to go belly up because if they were forced to pay the bills with honest work and not strong arm legal tactics against insurance companies and their customers, I'd fear they'd have a hard time making it far.

I was super hesitant to open my door to the gentlemen outside my door, luckily I did. After talking with Noah for a bit and having him explain everything, I decided to sign up. Thank god I did, I ended up saving like $15,000 after everything was said and done. The one negative thing that ended up not being a big issue was that the roofing guys damaged my pool screen while installing the roof. But, sometimes things happen when you're doing work like this. I did reach out for them to fix it, and within a week of letting Noah know, I had someone out to fix it and it was all taken care of. I'd highly recommend going with this company - it did take some time to get the whole job completed from start to finish but that was more because it was through insurance than anything on their end.

We noticed some leaks in our kitchen area last fall, and not originally being from Florida, we didn't know who to call or trust but thankfully... one of my co-workers told me about Kriss and Florida Roof Specialists! I was shocked to learn that he had only paid $1000 for his new roof! Like.... SO SHOCKED! He gave me Kriss' number, and she was super responsive & informative, and handled a majority of the conversations with my insurance company! Let me add... GIRL POWER! She climbed right on top of my roof like it was no big deal! I'm scared of heights so YOU GO GIRL!

Lastly, my ALL BLACK roof looks great, and I can't thank everyone enough! Definitely go with Kriss and FRS!

As a single woman, it's sometimes hard to know what direction to turn when it comes to bettering your property, but Kriss was absolutely amazing through the entire process of re-roofing my home! She was there every step of the way from dealing with my insurance company to helping me select my shingle color!

I absolutely love my new roof, and I feel better protected with the upgrade from 3-TAB to architectural shingles!
