It was a pleasure dealing with the folks at Florida Quality Roofing. FQR is an extremely professional operation from the owners to the office staff to the workers, who are all employees of the family-owned and -operated business. We made the big decision to replace our tile roof with a metal roof and got proposals from three different roofing companies. Although all three companies promptly responded to our queries in a professional manner, we were particularly impressed with FQR's detailed presentation. FQR did not give the least expensive estimate (although all three were close in price), but we felt a level of confidence that they would do quality work. We knew that the company had experience pulling permits in Miami Shores, and that was important to us. German, Stella, and Rhiannon kept us very well informed about the project every step of the way. We particularly appreciated the emails with pictures and videos of every stage of the project, and they promptly responded to questions or concerns we had in a most pleasant and professional manner. The work crew were all hard-working and respectful and cleaned up at the end of each day. We are very happy with our new metal roof and enthusiastically recommend Florida Quality Roofing.

FL Quality Roofing did everything promised and more. We had 4 estimates before choosing this firm and this was definitely the right decision. From their initial presentation to final cleanup, they kept in constant contact. We received pics during the process, and multiple emails to keep us informed of the schedule (lots of rain down here and that can disrupt work). We had a metal roof installed in a spectacular copper color and can't be more pleased with the outcome. We've had additional projects done with other companies, and I just wish they all had the same attention to detail and follow through, German and Stella were always available if I had any questions. The crew doing the work were very respectful and when doing the final cleanup, even picked up some branches I had waiting for trash day! Truly a pleasure using this company, wish they had more business ventures. We won't ever need another roof, but if we did, would choose them again.

Had an apmt scheduled for 10 AM to 12 noon time frame on 6/3/20. No confirmation call or message the day before or at any time. No show until getting a call around 11 AM (no big deal) and being told they are backed up due to rain and ""if you can work with me, we can make it happen later"" ... I had already taken the day off to deal with the roofing situation so I figured I'd just sit around and wait ""for later"", when 4:45 PM rolled around with no communication, I called, no answer, but then a call back advising me it wouldn't happen today. Not the end of the world but just very bad business practice especially with so much competition out there

If you don't want to read my long technical review I will sum it up for you first. I use the words ""beyond impressed"" sparingly in reviews. However, Florida quality roofing only deserves to be described by those words. They are what I would call ""the best of the best"" when it comes to roofers in the area. So let me start off by telling you about the comprehensive process I used to pick them. The process alone should convince most people to go with them. I have concrete S tiles on my roof. When I bought my house 10 years ago I taught myself how to do roof repairs to save money. I learned so much about roofs and kept mine in such good shape that many of my neighbor's with newer roofs than my own have already replaced their roofs. Although my roof didn't have any active leaks, it had leaked before and was getting old. Therefore, I decided to be proactive and replace it before it had a major leak. This way I could take my time and make an informed decision on who I hire.

I researched the best rated roofing companies in the tri county area. I did this by reading over their reviews, roofing experience, techniques/materials they used, complaints and other business records. Afterword's, I called all the ones that made my list and asked them certain technical questions in terms of their techniques/materials used when replacing a S tile roof. Out of the ones I called 14 gave satisfactory answers to my questions. I interviewed every one of them in person. Out of the 14, Florida quality roofing was the best. German the owner of FQR stood out from the rest of the companies from the moment I met him. He spent more time than any other company at our first interview. I asked him a ton of technical questions regarding the roof project. While a few other companies gave satisfactory answers to these questions; German went ""above and beyond"" in answering my questions. Not only did he give me detailed/informative answers, he also gave me additional information on other aspects related to the question I asked. These were things I didn't know about and wouldn't have thought to ask.

He also did something very unique that I practice myself but rarely see other people do. He gave me a heads up on many common potential issues/complications that may happen during the roof replacement process. Most roofers only try to sell you their company on the first interview. So it was really refreshing to see a contractor not trying to sell me and instead trying to educate me on problems related to roofing installation. I told him he was the first contractor I interviewed and I would get back to him with a decision after I finished speaking with the other contractors. In hindsight, I imagine he thought I was politely rejecting him because I didn't get back to him until after 2 months (it took me that long to finish interviewing every roofer). However, once I was done FQR turned out to be the best so they got the job. Not only did they have a very good price, they also included important extras in the price. For example, most companies will not include side wall flashing (this is one of the most common places where leaks occur) removal/install in the price. In fact, quite a few quoted me a higher price than FQR without including it. FQR included that critical component in their price and charged me lower than other companies.

The quality control and service level stayed as impressive throughout the entire installation as my first meeting with German. He was always punctual, responsive and kept the entire process moving seamlessly like a Swiss watch. He was always available whenever I needed to contact him and always gave me plenty of heads up when his roofers needed to do something. As far his crew, they were also phenomenal. They took their time to make sure the job was done properly but at the same time completed the job as quickly as possible. My roof is quite large and it was impressive to see them wrap up the job as quickly as they did. FQR's attention to detail for quality work can be summed up with an example from their install process.

I had quite a bit of rotted wood decking and fascia. Since German was honest I would have taken him at his word for the extra cost associated with the replacement. However, his crew took over 40+ pictures showing before/after picture of the rotted wood and its replacement just to show me everything was on the up and up. That's impressive! The entire process was handled with this level of professionalism. I also went up on the roof occasionally throughout the process to check out their work. As stated earlier, everything was done to the letter. I couldn't be happier with my roof. If every company conducted themselves like FQR then hiring companies for work would actually be an enjoyable experience. Don't even look for another company. Take advantage of all the hassle/time I went through to find a good roofer and hire FQR. You won't regret it.

We have a gable style roof on our home so the first thing you notice is the roof. We were tired of looking at the ugly black shingles that were taking away from the aesthetics of our home. We decided on a champagne colored aluminum metal roof. It is truly stunning! The champagne metallic color that we chose changes tone depending on the time of day and the amount of sunlight. German and the entire FQR team were so nice to work with and understood our expectations. Their attention to detail is what sets them apart from other roofers. We highly recommend this company for anyone who is looking for a quality and exceptional job.

The owner gave me an estimate on a Wednesday, then ghosted me when I asked to add or fix a couple of line items on it.

First he was going to Chicago and would get the new document to me the following Monday, then silence. I called and emailed him and his office and got no response. A couple of days later I called again and he actually answered, saying that he was now out of the country and would get the document to me the following Monday. I never heard from him again; I texted, but no answer.

My guess is that when I asked if his estimate would be valid in the future if I decoded to postpone the project, he decided that I wasn't worth his time. The problem with his conclusion (if that's what it was) is that it is incorrect; I just wanted the information.

Very unprofessional. Who's to say he won't disappear in the middle of a job?

Honestly, I can't say enough positive things about FQR. From the start, German was exceptionally informative and professional - and while I can almost promise their proposal won't be the cheapest, (i) you get what you pay for and (ii) they don't sub out the work - German himself will be involved in the project and their workers are employees. I'll let him explain why this is so important, but it obviously adds some cost. While we initially thought we wanted a metal roof, we ended up maintaining the ""feel"" of our home and opted for tiles. The roof came out incredible! The process was super efficient with very little wasted time (we had a permit within two weeks of signing the contract; tear-off days later; and once tiles were delivered it was another couple days until completion). Permits, inspections, improvements to code, etc. - they took care of it all. It's also worth noting that they took incredible precaution in protecting the property (covering pool, steps, patio, side lawns, etc. - they left the site clean after each and every day). The whole team (Stella, Josselyn, German) place a focus on customer service - I can't tell you how refreshing this is, espec in SoFL. Email updates, photos, calls - they are on top of everything. Highly, highly recommend... but really hope I don't see them anytime soon :)

Florida Quality Roofing did a silicone coating on our condominium association Roof. But not everything was explained fully about the cons
and i think everyone should know: when wet it slippery worst than ice,the 10 warranty comes with a string attached; our project cost $63,000.00 and Florida Quality Roofing never said to have the warranty we had to pay $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 a year in order to be eligible for the warranty,if you multiply by 10 years we would be paying $20,000.00 to $25,000.00 to have such warranty. After the hurricane last October 2017
we had some minor damage in our roof,so i called them and request to repair our roof at our coast, i spoke with Mr Duarte and he said he would get back to me soon to set up an appointment but never did, i guess he was upset that i did not take the warranty.So before committing to have silicone coat request to see the warranty and read it fully, and increase your liability insurance because is very danger.

Professional, transparent, patient, diligent, effective, efficient, flexible, thoughtful, honest. The FQR team is all of this and more. I don't think there is a better roofer in South Florida. The team completed the re-roof of my home a couple weeks ago (flat roof, north miami area). Super smooth process with no headaches or surprises. Miami needs more businesses like this.
