Miguel was really amazing to work with, very patient with all my questions and concerns. I had a full roof replacement that included a warranty. It hasn't rained yet so fingers crossed everything is good, but I have confidence that if any issues arise they will take care of it! I highly recommend this company.

We started experiencing a leak through our kitchen ceiling towards the end of the rainy season and I used Yelp to obtain a set of quotes. First Tier responded quickly, Alex came the next day to take a look, and we received a detailed quote shortly after. I was very appreciative of the straightforward and responsive communication.

The job date took several weeks to schedule but First Tier was able to squeeze us in before the next rain storm was forecast, unfortunately although they did a great job on the section of the roof we believed to have been the problem, it did not fix the leak.

Alex then worked with Felix over the next several weeks to systematically diagnose the true issue before narrowing it down to the sunroom flashing next to our kitchen. They came through to repair that quickly and did a fantastic job. Given how dry it is during the summer we may not know for sure that this fixed the whole issue but with the warranty provided by First Tier I have peace of mind.

First tier recently completed a reroofing project in our house and we are very happy with the results.

Eddie, Leo, Mario, Artemio and the rest of the crew were great to work with. The communication and transparency from senior project manager Eddie was a breathe of fresh air! We were searching and comparing job quotes from numerous Bay Area service providers and Eddie was hands down the best communicator and took the time to explain the process with me. We negotiated win win terms with wood rot repairs as our roof was not in the best shape and I think they were willing to do this since they truly believe in the quality of work and their process of handling business. Additionally, we requested that they start the project within 1 week as part of our condition and they were able to insert us within the timeframe!
Mario and Leo did quick work of our roof, even with 4 layers of shingles. Our area gets really high, gusty winds but their team was able to complete the demo with minimal debris left in the surroundings. They use quality material with great warranty. Their siding guy Artemio came in at the last minute during the project to address a significant wood rot on our roof. Like their roofing team, Artemio was methodical, thorough and even took the time to go over the process with me several times to ensure all my questions are answered.
We're really happy with the service and quality of work from first tier.

We're in the process of getting a siding repair and painting job quotes through them. If we go with them I will provide a follow up review. If their roof job is any indication, I'm sure the rest of their service will also be First (Top) Tier.

My initial contact with First Tier Exterior was from submitting a request for a quote via the GAF roofing website. I was contacted within 30 minutes to set up an appointment. I met with Miguel Buenrostro, Project Manager. Miguel provided a detailed overview of the GAF product line as well as the instillation and GAF warranties. Miguel provided a detailed quote that included photos of our old roof and photos of their completed GAF roof installations.

Miguel reviewed the quote with me on his laptop and provided an electronic copy, which was most appreciated. The proposal was detailed yet easy to read and follow. There were no hidden costs/fees. The proposal also included current copies of First Tier Exterior's State Contractor Licensing Board certificate, Workman's Compensation certificate, GAF installer certificate and current GAF cut sheets. First Tier Exterior is a value-added company as they were the only contractor to use replacement roof vents that are dipped and protected in the same granules as the shingles, and at no additional cost.

Miguel was very attentive and promptly returned text messages and phone calls. We are thrilled with our new GAF Timberline-UHDZ roof and confident in the workmanship that First Tier Exterior demonstrated.

Lastly, Miguel provided before and after drone photos of our roof, which will be very helpful if a warranty claim is ever needed.

As with any high value project do your homework, but I'm confident that you will come to the same conclusion--First Tier Exterior is a top tier roofing company.

Eddie and his team were great. Showed up quickly for the initial site inspection, explained it in plain English and showed things to me, offered me options and advice. Once they began work, it went smoothly and managers were on site regularly to inspect the work. Even helped repair a broken deck board at no cost. Great experience, highly recommend First Tier!

After obtaining 11 estimates for our new construction window replacement and stucco foam project for 19 windows and 2 sliding doors, we felt the most confident and comfortable going with First Tier. We are so glad that we chose them. Our project turned out close to perfect, and we are very happy with the work. Jeremy coordinated the scheduling and was on point in his communication and explanation to my questions. He estimated it to take about 1.5 weeks which was about the amount of time the teams spent working on our property (wait time in between teams made it about 3 weeks total). The process was so smooth, required minimal effort on our part, and not a bit intrusive. George led the window replacement team, Felix led the stucco team, another team did the interior/exterior touchup paint, and yet another team did the demo and scaffolding. Everyone was so professional, sincere, and simply a pleasure to work with. First Tier's estimate was reasonable, but the quality of their work is the best. We can tell they are experts at what they do, strive to make sure that we are happy, and went above and beyond what was on the proposal. They left our property spotless upon completion. The only opportunity for improvement is that two of the windows were switched with each other so the measurements were off in the 2 windows by 1/8"" width. I only noticed when I looked at the paperwork that was sent to me after the work was completed and noticed the numbering was off. All in all, I would highly recommend First Tier and would absolutely use their services again.

Had a roof leak repaired and a skylight replaced. This family business did a first class job, explaining exactly what was being done, and testing the roof for any leaks after the job was finished. Everything was cleaned up nicely. Very friendly!

I requested a quote for a re-roof from First Tier through the Yelp portal on a Tuesday, got a message 2 hours later setting up an appointment for the next day for a project manager to come give us an estimate. Robert showed up on time, spent a good hour walking the roof, pointing out to my husband areas of concern, and talking us through, in great detail, the entire process. The quote was reasonable and included replace/repair of all the issues he'd identified including some dry rot and some water damage, and finishing with stucco repair and painting the new fascia boards. We have a solar project scheduled as soon as the roof was finished, and he had his office shuffle the projects so they could start the following week. His crew showed up bright and early as scheduled, Robert was there to give detailed instructions, and in 3 days it was mostly done. The crew was polite, professional, and meticulously clean, leaving not a single nail on the ground. Project completed, permit signed off in a week. Excellent communication throughout; Robert kept in frequent touch about the progress and responded to my frequent texts promptly.
We've done many home projects over the years; this was the best experience I've ever had. Not a single complaint. Excellent work, knowledgeable and skilled team, beautiful roof! They even offered to remove some unnecessary pipes/vents to give more room for our solar panels.
I enthusiastically recommend First Tier. Could not be happier. And will most certainly use them again if we have future exterior projects.
(And, by the way, for the two other quotes we requested, technicians came out to take photos, no one knowledgeable bothered to come out, and the quotes both did not include any issues that might turn up (like dry rot), which Robert identified and included in the quote. No extra costs.)
