First Response Roofing Inc. was contracted by Latitude 26 Builders to put three new roofs on our three buildings under new construction on our property. They initially put tar paper underlayment on the two detached garages. The crew did a horrible and sloppy job, pieces literally blew off the next day. After they were fixed, they both displayed excessive wrinkles. They were starting to put the shingles on one of the detached garages, carrying the bundles up the ladders to the top of the roof. During this process, one of the elderly workers fell approximately 14 foot from the top of the ladder as he was stepping onto the roof from the ladder. I witnessed the entire event and immediately called 911. Lee County Sheriffs Office and EMS responded and treated the fallen victim. While the crew was working on the house roof and i was cutting grass in a distant field, i noticed a large w/m in the rear section of my shop. I immediately approached the subject and asked why was he in my shop? He identified himself as ""Eric"" the roofer and that he was getting nails. After the tar paper underlayment was finally done on the house, over the course of weeks we continued to have many leaks, 17 leaks in total. It was horrible, the last leaks they took six days to respond and fix the leaks. As a result several sections of insulation was removed and replaced due to heavy water saturation from the rain. We are totally disgusted with the entire circumstances, poor workmanship, time delays and the excessive patches on our new house roof. It greatly disturbs us that there was no enforcement or accountability regarding safety and quality. First Response Roofers failed to pick up the nails, trash, green and red tabs and all the cut metal pieces. They simply left all this in our fields, contaminating our pastures. We would never recommend this company.
