Well, here what transpired about 5 or so years ago. Findlay sent ""a salesman"" out to our house to review what we wanted, the roofing estimate (as well as a new roof for our sunroom attached to house). Everything went okay but I was a little concerned with a salesman being our point of contact rather than an individual that really knows and has worked over some years with ROOFING! Well, he did the estimate and it seemed okay to us. Separately, he did the sunroom roof estimate; as i recall, that was something like $1700 for that room exclusively.
It's been five plus years here, so I'm remembering as best we can. I do remember the ""sales"" aspect being of concern to me on more than one front. But, we went forward.
After the main house roof was put on, I was happy; it looked nice. Then, the re-did the roof over the sunroom. I wasn't happy a bit with this. Rather than being shingles, it was two (or more?) large strips of what appeared to be commercial type. I wasn't liking that a bit, but they explained to me that because of the slope of the roof, that was best. I questioned (and complained) about not being apprised beforehand so I would have the opportunity to check things out. I don't remember all the particulars, but Findlay wasn't behaving professionally about this: they were heavy handed, I thought, and rather snide in their dealings with me at this juncture. After about a couple or more weeks of unsuccessful communication, I decided to go forward and pay the remaining bill: initially I thought I would not, but, in the end, withholding the payment didn't sit well with me (even though!!). So we sent the remaining monies due.
Fast forward to today: I called Findlay Roof Roof because of what seems to be a leak in the sunporch roof. Several hours later I was happy at the fast response when I saw their Findlay name come up on my phone: However, an ill-bred young woman named Ashley informed me that they would not honor their warraty because ""You owe $18,000.... "" I informed her this is wrong, I paid that bill in full. I asked for another and got another ill behaved employee named Holly. Anyways, I guess I will be getting a lawyer or going to small claims court. Yelp, I paid in full, with good reason actually NOT TO, and now they say ($18,0000 ---- I have NO IDEA where they got this!! ha).
I will go get the paperwork because I no longer want personnel who conduct their business lives to do anything for me. DON""T hire these people. Unprofessional sales-oriented people, not customer-service oriented.

Findlay did an excellent job in installing our roof. They were prompt in scheduling an estimate and did a very thorough inspection of my roof. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the estimator. When I was ready for the installation, they were prompt in scheduling, arrived when they said they would, timely completed the job, and cleaned up meticulously when finished. After the install, they followed up to make sure I was satisfied. I would recommend Findlay Roofing to others.

Person who was to fix roof did not show, did not call. Findlay did not call. Only employee knew they were not going to keep the appointment but notified no one. So now ""on hold"" - what's the use of having an appointment IF company and employees do not honor them?

My house had two leaking spots on the roof caused by the tree branches over the year. In the past few months, we got six trees cut down. Hubby called Findlay Roofing due to Clark Howard's recommendation on WSB Radio.

Thomas and ""Larry"" came out to check out the roof. Close to an hour later. Thomas ordered ""Larry"" to go on top of the roof to see what was going on and said it would be $985 to fix the leaking roof where the master bedroom was located. The gutters would be removed and he would get the other guys who work with Findlay Roofing to come out and do an estimate. ""Larry"" did not speak at all and is Latino. He did all the work while Thomas did the paperwork. Thomas scheduled the gutter guys to come out the following week. He said it should only cost between $200-300.

A few days later, it rained. The leak in the master bedroom was fixed. However, we still had a leak in the bathroom connecting the master bedroom. Thomas and ""Larry"" came out to fix it and put tar on top to stop it. However, with the massive rain the following days, it was still leaking...bad

Hubby called Thomas back again and Thomas said they did their best and we needed to replace our pipe and that would be another $700. He kept saying he did fix the leak in the master bedroom. Well, technically, ""Larry"" did.

When it was finally sunny, hubby went on top of the roof to check it out. ""Larry"" put the tar on what he thought it was a leak but it wasn't. The pipe was good and did not need to be replaced. Hubby found the hole where the leak is. He decided to fix the leak himself, watching YouTube videos and he did.

The gutter guys came out and said that they would have to replace ALL the gutters. Yeah, even the good ones and it would be $1k. No thank you.

Hubby was able to fix the leak on the roof by watching YouTube videos. He says he will fix the gutter himself too.

I would NOT suggest Findlay Roofing to anyone after our experience.

I wonder if Clark Howard got paid or has a partnership to advertise them.

Extremely disappointed. I scheduled an app't for 12:00 noon on Thursday for an assessment of my roof. At 11:34 I received a call from the technician noting he was doubled booked for Fayetteville and Griffin (21 miles apart) for 12:00 noon. He asked if I could reschedule for 2:00. I told him no, I had a doctor's app't at 2:15. He said he would call the other ""customer"" then call me back. 20 minutes later (almost noon) he called me back and said he couldn't be at my house at noon. I called Findlay to voice my concern, noting I had arranged my entire day around the roofing app't. No apology. Nothing. Nada. I will go with another company.

This company are total scammers; David Garab with this roofing company AKA Roof Roof took my sister on a roofing job in Rossville, GA
they replaced in North West Georgia - Rossville, Ga; they were in East Ridge at the time; a guy by the name of David Garab; he is working for this company now. The roof is only 3 or 4 years old and is buckling; I found David Garab phone number in a suburb of Atlanta and called him and he said he is not in the roofing business anymore; but I see is still working in this business; If this guy is affiliated with any business beware; I think a lot of roofing companies go from city to city and scam women and the elderly.
If this company does any work for you as for their current business license and check in the county where they will be performing the work.

We had a horrible experience with the company. We were having an issue with a leak in our family room. After asking some neighbors on NextDoor, we decided to go with this company. We had someone come out and take a look and we were told the problem was the flashing around our chimney that needed to be replaced. We said OK and scheduled the repair. The day that the repair was supposed to be done came and went and we received no invoice or notification that it was done. Then we were looking at our roof a few days later and realized the shingles were different around the chimney in the front of our house. They had done the WRONG chimney. We called and finally got them to come and fix it 1-2 weeks later. There was no offer to give a discount for the mistake and no real apology. Then a few months go by and we notice the roof is STILL leaking. We call them to come out and look at it because we have a warranty that should cover it. First of all, it took calling at least 3-4 times before I could get in contact with the right person in charge of scheduling in the ""warranty department"". Then when someone finally came out, they told us the issue was cracks in our chimney that had been present the ENTIRE time. Needless to say, after that we were done dealing with them. So we got a second and third opinion from other companies. Would never use this company again and would not recommend to anyone.

Findlay came out and did some small repairs on my roof. They said I didn't need a new roof at this time. The repair guy was polite and fixed the issue. Will use them again!
