Final Touch Construction Re-Roofed our home prior to Solar and installed Energy Efficient Windows. They took care of removing and reinstalling the existing Solar Panels on my roof. The Crews cleaned daily before leaving, and ran some sort of magnet to pick up nails that fell to the ground. Our New Roof Looks Great, and Solar is generating as it was prior to Removal.

It has taken me a while to write this review, as I felt I needed to fully compile my thoughts before writing. We worked with Final Touch from February 2021 to August 2021. We had two project managers and one Melton was rude and the other Farron was amazing!During this time we had many issues:
- One worker flooded our house twice
- There were many days workers just didn't show up
- There was a huge lack of communication about the project, but they were sure to communicate very effectively about payments.
- The lack of communication about the project lead to many issues, wrong materials being used, wrong materials being purchased.
- Poor customer service skills

The biggest issue/concern we had with the company was our floors. The put in new floors on the bottom level of our house. The worker, Jose, did an amazing job. Although on the day that the floors were put in, I had to go purchase some soft materials for the floor when we were told all soft materials were included in the price. Along with this the soft materials I purchased was not what we chose to use. The owner Luis convinced us that this alternative method, padding under hardwood floors for leveling instead of self leveling concrete, would be more cost effective and work just as well. We trusted him and his judgement. Although, about 4 months after the floors had been put in and lived on, there was dents and cracks in the floor. We brought this to Luis's attention and when he came out for the final walk through his response was ""you can pay us to redo it or you can go with another company"". When I told him he assured us this method would work, his answer did not change. I asked if their work was only guaranteed for 4 months and he had no response.

On top of this, multiple wrong cabinets were order for our kitchen. One was, we needed a microwave slot for under the counter and the did not order that. Instead of reordering they ""created"" one. In retro speck I should have fought them on just ordering the correct parts because the work they did is not lasting and starting to look bad.

After all this, the company fought us on payment saying that certain lines on our proposal that were clearly not done or taken off per our request, were left there to cover cost of other work that had been done. So instead of adjusting the proposal to accurately reflect the work that was done, they just informed us it was there in place of ""insert task"". I asked for the proposal to be redone and they would not. I did request that a $400 charge be removed and after a few email exchanges they did remove the ONE item.

It was over all a very disappointing experience. The owner Luis, sold us on a vision and this project but after that he was not easy to work with and he lacked customer service skills. He was rude and turned the blame on me or my husband any chance he got. This was a big project as we redid floors, the entire kitchen, and bathrooms. I felt we were giving them a substantial amount of work, and in turn felt we were treated as if our project was not important.

I hope this review helps someone, as I wish I would have had one to look at before hiring Final Touch for our project.

Final Touch is the way to go!
I haven't had a AC system running for more than 15 yrs and they fixed our problem in less than 8 hours!

I highly recommend them.

Called to get estimates, its been a little more than two weeks and never received any estimate. I don't chase companies. If they want my money they need to stay on top of the job and not getting my quote is the fist step for me not to trust them.

I feel highly compelled to give you guys my honest evaluation after 5 days of work using Final Touch Construction.  I've taken hours to compile this review in hopes it helps.
The short version is that this is a fly-by-night ""company"" & they abandoned the job without doing even a quarter of the work necessary.

The scope of the job was to repair mine & my neighbor's adjoined garage's sagging flat roof.  Years of deferred maintenance & persistent leaks caused roof after roof to fail. Their job was to replace any damaged structural wood, stucco, and/or decorative wood necessary, & then torch-down reroof, stucco, & paint:
**Pros-
-Nice worker guys who seemed to want to please.
-No leaks detected after they completed my roof.
**Cons-
-Workers spoke little to no English.
-The workers didn't have any supervision.  Luis, the owner, only showed up for a few minutes on Mon morning & didn't return until Mgmt. called him (at my request) on Fri afternoon.  I felt like I had to supervise the work all week or they wouldn't have fixed what was needed.  For example:
1) They asked me for a tool to cut nails.  I loaned them my Sawzall, a tool every contractor should have in their work truck.  They had 2 trucks here.
2) I had to request that they sister in joist boards. They initially only did 2 or 3 & ended up doing 6- And not all the same length for whatever reason. They installed shabby ineffective shims that were falling out by the end of the week. ( For comparison, the new construction co. we hired replaced 14 full 24' joists & a new roof deck)
3) As they were laying down tar paper, I had to ask them to replace a 2'x2' dry-rotted section of the roof deck. When tossed onto the ground, this dry rotted plywood exploded from impact & there was a 6"" hole in the center. See photo.
4) As they were getting ready to re-roof, I questioned the fact that they did not repair the sagging roof on my neighbor's garage.  They asked me if I wanted that fixed too. We came up with a solution together.  Again, I shudder at what would have NOT happened had I not questioned them.
5) They left nails in alley 3 out of 5 days even though I asked them to clean them up carefully b/c I had just replaced a tire on my car b/c of a nail in the sidewall.  (not from them)
6) They left drips of tar on flashing, stucco & concrete sidewalk. Luis told me that if he cleaned the flashing we would expose the roof to the possibility of wind lifting the edge. Still not cleaned up as of today.
7) Using a non-matching piece of smooth mahogany(They even oriented the grain the wrong way), they covered up a dry-rotted & termited header that should have been replaced.  I am a professional woodworker & have worked on houses my whole life.  I know wood better than most.  Luis from Final Touch looked me straight in the eye & lied to me & the HOA president-He flat out denied that there was ANY dry rot on the header & said it was ONLY termites.  I can 100% can guarantee there was dry rot AND termites evidenced by white fungus anyone could plainly see, & it crumbled to the touch. (See pics) Luis was trying to BS the HOA president & me because at that moment we were questioning his written quote which stated he would ""replace any dry rotted headers.""  He simply didn't want to incur the cost of replacing them according to his bid.  So he tried to claim it was ""termite damage only"".  Any way you spin it, if it needed to be replaced, it needed to be replaced for structural integrity, period.
8) I had to ask the workers to replace several load-bearing studs & mudsills on either side of the garage door that were completely toasted from dry rot & termites. (See pics) They only did some & attempted to cover up the others.
9)They didn't use roughsawn wood on 3 fascias as required not only by our HOA's architectural requirements, but also by common sense & average workmanship considering adjacent boards are all roughsawn. They used cheap, knotty, smooth Home Depot framing lumber.
10)They left a 1/2 ""-1.25"" overhang of roofing material all around that does not match other units.  When I asked why, Luis said ""the winds would lift the roof & cause leaks if they trimmed it'.   He was simply BSing me-This goes against common sense.
11)The new roof didn't match other roofs & looked cheap the way they patched it together in different directions. See pic.  They could have at least bought some white granules & put them on the black tar seams.

In a nut shell, Luis could have done change orders for any of the new work that popped up & been paid to do so.  That is how construction works. Instead, he did none and tried to hastily complete an incomplete job by having the stucco guys come in on Saturday to cover it all up.  After 3 months, my HOA hired a new contractor who came in, ripped out EVERYTHING Final Touch did and completed the job correctly.  They even replaced all damaged wood that needed to be replaced.  Stay far far away from Final Touch Construction. You've been warned.

Luis and his crew have gone above and beyond 5 stars remodeling our home. Their knowledge and expertise is unmatched. They took our vision and turned it into a reality. They work very efficiently and clean up after themselves everyday. When I need something done this the only company I call. I know when final touch construction is here my home is in good hands.

It's so nice to work with an honest, reasonable company when there are so many crooks out there. I was given an estimated time of 30 days. I thought at the time that it would be impossible. It WAS done. Their crews showed up every morning on time. Worked hard every minute. Cleaned up after themselves. And their work is absolutely beautiful. I would give 10 stars if I could!
