We bought a rental property that needed everything done to be rentable, so as my wife and I were working on the inside of the two homes we looked for painters and roofers etc. to work on the outside.
I remembered Mike from Fiddler on the Roof when I was in Real Estate as he did some work on an apartment building; I was representing the sellers & the buyers called him for roofing and gutter work. He did an excellent job then and the buyers were happy with the price so I filed that to my memory banks for later.
We hired a different company for the first house roof as I worked with the wife of one of the owners. The work was good but I never saw the owner again; he just sent one guy to do everything and all was OK but there was a gap in the communication.
So on the second house, that is larger and needed more work I got a couple bids and Mike was one of the best, so I hired his company and glad I did. The roof was removed in one day and all cleaned up for the repairs and new roofing. There were three layers of roofing on that house so what a job I thought it would be. There was some sheeting that needed repair/replacement & some trim too in several spots. I only mention this because everything was explained to me before they did it so there were no surprises at the end. The roofing went on very fast and mike was there most of the time running the job and we decided at that time to have new gutters installed also and that also was reasonable and fast so all in all we had a very positive experience all around. Mike came in with a bid that looked in line with what we would expect for our roof. He seemed very professional and attentive. However once we asked for a written quote to move forward, we were never able to get anything from him. We waited weeks to get the quote and eventually just had to move on to another vendor to get the job completed. Mike just wasted our time.

Mike was right on with his bid for a NEW roof. We were in negations for the sale of our home. the seller's wanted to adjust the price, using their local roofer. We turned to Mike to get our own estimate. His complete and precise estimate using all top grade materials was almost half. Fiddler on the Roof will get this job, if my sell goes thru.
