I can only assume that the ONE good review looks suspicious. If you are looking for an honest review continue reading. We met with our salesman in March 2016 regarding the replacement of our windows and 1 door for our home. We were impressed with the knowledge of the salesman and with the demonstration and then ordered impact windows for the entire house and a replacement for our front door. That is where the customer service ended. Once we shook hands the deal went south. Our new windows finally arrived in May and the install took 2 days. The door was cut wrong and therefore took another few weeks to be delivered and installed. Then the inspections happened. The windows and door failed the inspection not once, not twice but THREE times for various code reasons. This required me taking time off work for 2 - 4 hour time frames because inspectors cannot be tied down to a specific time. Finally got the inspection cleared in August, a full 5 months later. It is now the end of August and I am waiting for the screw cap covers to be installed because they cannot be covered until the inspection is cleared.

Please take my advice, shop around and pay very close attention to the competitors. We did not get a particularly good deal on the price but we got a very raw deal on the service. The salesman was good at his job, the installers also did a good job. The remaining contacts at this company (and I spoke with many)....not so much. The disorganization, (lack of) communication and little was provided for my inconvenience.

I am now so worried that if I have trouble with the product in the future that I have to deal with this company forever.

We had windows placed in our home by this company. We previously had the locks break two years ago on the patio doors and it took several weeks for service. We currently have another broken lock and after several calls and voice mails and one service call we are still without adequate locks and no one is returning my call to inform me when we should expect this repaired. If you like customer service I wouldn't recommend this company.

If you value your time, don't waste it with ""FHA."" A marketing rep knocked on my door, explaining the services FHA provides and informed me that reps would in the neighborhood the next day providing estimates. I was definitely interested in receiving an estimate for hurricane proof windows, since I am shopping for some form of hurricane protection for my home. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and the rep was very nice. My appointment was scheduled and confirmed for the next day and I was asked to set 90 minutes aside for the visit. Cool, no problem.

Fast forward next day. The rep shows up 15 minutes late...no biggie because Miami traffic is unpredictable. What did bother me was the fact that he didn't have any samples in his hand, despite being told I would be shown samples. To give him credit, he did have a small briefcase.

Warning sign number two, he didn't have measuring tape in hand. How the heck are you going to provide me with an estimate without measuring windows first?

He sits down, introduces himself, asks me about why I scheduled to have a visit today (Shouldn't you know why already? Warning #3). Once I inform him of my needs and the fact that I've only shopped for shutters and wanted to weigh my options by receiving an estimate for hurricane proof windows, he then proceeds to tell me how hurricane windows are better than hurricane shutters...blah, blah, blah. Sir, can you measure my windows before trying to sell me something?

Then he asks me about my budget? How about you measure my windows and tell me what your PRICE is FIRST then I will determine (BY MYSELF) whether it fits into my budget or not?

I informed him several times that I was clueless about hurricane windows, which is why I agreed to receive an estimate. I finally tell him what I'm looking to spend and he laughs and says, that's no where near what I'll spend on windows. According to him, I will be spending at least $35,000. This was without measuring my windows, mind you. He must dream about measurements in his sleep.

I made it very clear that I would be better off paying for shutters. He then proceeds to give me ""advice"" about how I need to be careful about who I have install shutters and the estimates I received are low, which means that the work will not be up to par. Sir, do you know me? Do you work for these companies that provided these estimates? Does my house give you the impression that I cut corners on home improvement projects? Whether I choose to have a reputable company or a vagabond install my windows, that's my business and my problem.

He was in and out of my house in less than 20 minutes. I refused to sit and listen to him talk for the rest of the hour and 10 minutes he was supposed to stay. I will gladly shop for hurricane protection somewhere else.

We signed a very expensive contract with this company back in March for 3 sets of french doors. We had received other less expensive quotes, however, we assumed we would get great service and a top quality product for the premium price. We paid FHA $24,725.00 for three sets of french doors and four small windows. Installations seemed to go smooth (minus a few missing parts and damaged pieces) until about four days after installation, a light Miami rainstorm revealed a leaking door. The water was just pouring in underneath our new hurricane doors, just as hurricane season was approaching.

Getting a response from this company is a nightmare and seems to be common practice after reading several other reviews posted online by other customers. We have been passed around from person to person, supervisor, manufacturer, and we receive the exact same response every time... ""This has never happened before.""

They scheduled a few appointments and then no one showed up, which we take time off of work to sit around and wait all day. The few times people did show up they would tell us they have no clue what to do and then they just pile silicone on top of silicone and some more silicone. We documented every text, phone call, and email, and we have photos of all of the band-aids these people have placed on top of our brand new, very expensive doors.

We even disputed the charge with MasterCard in an attempt to get someone who may know how to solve our problem on the phone with us. And nothing! The credit card company told us no one has responded to them from FHA and they closed the case. FHA will email us back and forth to make appointments with the manufacturer and installers with dates that are several days away. We had one set for today (AUGUST 2nd) and only one guy came this morning, looked at the doors, made two phone calls, wiped off some extra silicone that was still tacky from another ""fix"" back in June, adjusted the height of the door and left. The FHA people never showed up and finally called at 4:18 pm to say that the other parts they were missing (from MARCH) still have not come in and they aren't coming today.

We want to pay for our doors, but we only want to pay for brand new, functioning doors that are not damaged, missing parts and most definitely do not leak. Now it is the middle of hurricane season in South Florida and we don't even have shutters as an option since these people covered all those holes.

Would never ever recommend this company to my worst enemy. What a nightmare.

Very rude...Hung up on me as soon I said I have an Rv. He said ""oh it's an RV"" with an attitude and just hung up..could have at least said, ""I'm sorry we can't help you with those""...

Scam company that uses cold callers to bypass the ""Do Not Call List"". First a robo call tells you that you have won a free home installation. If you stay on the line a foreign sounding person asks if you want more info on windows and new roofing. If you say yes, they push your info to this company. Take my advice, avoid this company and just add their number to your blocker caller list. If they were reputable, people would call them.

I first ran in to FHA in BJs and set up an appt. I had a couple other estimates already but just felt unsure. That feeling quickly passed after FHA came in my home. Night and day compared to other guys I talked to. I love my new Windows. I agree with some of the other reviews that it takes a while for them in the house to get to price, however I learned SO much more then I did from those other companies who just measured and handed me a quote. These guys really know their stuff. I appreciate someone who cares enough to take the time to educate the customer. NOT ALL IMPACT WINDOWS ARE THE SAME. There are so many different configurations. I chose the features that worked best for me. Best $24,000 I ever spent. My insurance went down $1200 a year and I'm saving about $75 a month in electricity. No worries about burglars, my home value went up more then the Windows cost, had it appraised, It was a no brainier. Also my house is much cooler. Had no idea about the types of glass that keep heat out. Plus I live next to a busy loud street and I can't hear the cars anymore!! Awesome job, and thanks to Larry at FHA.

I must say , this is the most unprofessional company I have ever come across. I made an appointment 48 hours ahead. I got a text at 2:40 the day before appointment from
954-792-4415 saying to please call to confirm appointment. I quickly text back to confirm then called to confirm 2 hours later when i got off of work. When I called to confirm I would keep getting an answering machine that would put me on hold. I had a full work out at the gym while keeping my phone on speaker phone on hold. Every 5 minutes I would get a recording that im the next person in line . I finally hung up after 1 hour 10 minutes of being on hold. Then called again while cooking and eating dinner. The morning of the estimate I called again at 7:40 in the morning and got a man on the phone . I had explained how I kept trying to call and kept being put on hold the day before and told him how long I was on hold before I hung up. He replied that's one of the biggest complaints he has that stated it would take 90 minutes rather then the 60 minutes that I was told when making the appointment so we would have to reschedule. I told him "" no I don't want to reschedule, I already have someone covering for me at work so I could be at this appointment"" He then told me he had to take me off the schedule for a text back to confirm does not count and being it wasn't confirmed by phone he would have to reschedule . Im so glad I was forced not to use this company for I could only imagine the difficulty I would have had with then showing up for work

I had windows installed and after the installation, they continued to harass me to get the rest of the house done. I repeatedly told them, if the price was the same, I was not going to finish the house with them. They continued to call until finally, the original sales guy came back out, ""to see what he could do"", and when he noticed I was now married, because my husband came to the door, he didn't even bother to give us a quote.

Real professional. A disaster of a company with an outrageous price tag. I regret having done business with them in the first place.

I have purchased four Windows from Florida Home- Improvement. Associates company in 2010 with a life time warranty! But all four Windows have condensation forming on them whenever it get colder outdoors. The company said it was the result of indoor moisture forming but none of the other Windows have that problem!! A life time warranty but what good is it if the company does not even come out to look at the problem and fix a seal or something. I would not purchase from this company or recommend this company. We went through the representative at BJ's!!! Pictures are posted on Facebook!
