Due to a strong wind, a few tiles fell off the roof. I contacted this local company for repair. Richard came on time for free estimate and he went to the roof and took pictures to show me the problem at the estimate time. The quote he gave is reasonable. After the work was done, he again took pictures and showed me the work. Very professional and I highly recommend their services.

I worked with Richard Griego who was referred by a realtor. While at my home he gave me a quote of $7975. All I needed was the actual proposal to sign and get back to him. When I got the proposal, the price was different. The proposal price was $8400, a $425 increase. His email said he forgot to include the fascia boards and some kind of ""tails."" I forget what he called them. This is what he does everyday. How could he forget to include the wood work?!?!? He blamed it on the heat. He meant this as a joke; but, I didn't see the humor in it. I really wanted to move forward with this company; but, I felt I couldn't trust it.

Richard at Federal Building Roofing was recommended by us to the real estate agent who helped us buy our house. We needed an entire re-roof. The old roof was one layer of asphalt shingles over the original wood shake, which meant they had to tear everything off and start with new sheeting.

We were very happy with the work that they did. Their quote was very reasonable and a few little add-ons we requested were done just at the cost of the parts itself. They cleaned up their mess at the end of each day which meant we didn't feel trapped in our house for the week. Any time I called Richard with a question or issue he responded quickly. They took care of all aspects, buying all the supplies they needed, setting up the inspections, etc. I will happily recommend Federal Building Roofing to any of my friends who need a roof job done.

My first experience with Federal Building & Roofing Inc. was when they were referred to me by the manufacture of a solar vent I bought at Costco. Once they arrived, I was greeted by the owner Richard, and his helper. He inspected the location where I wanted it installed, which happened to be where I had an existing vent. I didn't want to add another hole in the roof but doing so required Richard to purchase shingles to match my existing one because the old vent was under multiple layers of roof. The additional cost was reasonable.

Richard and his worker were both in the attic and roof installing the solar vent. He made sure everything was working properly and explain the monitor it came with. Before he left, I ask for a quote to reroof my sister's garage and storage area behind it. He followed me there and gave me a quote I felt was so reasonable, I agreed to the price. Within 2 weeks his crew was at my sister's house, once to meet the company delivering the shingles on the roof and again the next morning to install it. Not only was I impressed with their speed but the quality at well. They finished within 3-4 hours and were gone by noon. I had agreed to a new layer of roofing and underlayment, which they did a fine job with but they also added a new drip edge to match the color of the roof. His crew also did a nice job of cleaning up before they left.

Richard came by about noon to check out and walk the roof. He wanted to make sure I was happy with the job before getting paid.

I will definitely call him for a quote when I need to have my home redone.

Only recommended what was needed to be done. Did not try to up-sell any work. Pulled permits and executed the work on time and on budget. Their cost is very reasonable. Richard Griego and his work crew from FBR provided a consultation/ 2 proposals from which one was to be selected on the initial visit. From that point on, after several emails regarding roof color selection and start/finish date - work proceeded in timely manner, even when a color change was requested the afternoon before the start date. The crew worked diligently, efficiently, rendering all services provided in the contract. Two days and the roof was completed, yard cleaned ( you would never know the crew had been there) and city permit signed. Great company, excellent foreman and crew. Would highly recommend.
