We purchased a house that had a roof leak and contacted this company because, per our realtor, Farfan Development was the original roofer. Stephen Smith answered the phone, had me text him my name and address and sent someone out.
The 2 men they sent were at our home for about 10 minutes, then left without saying anything. Later that day, I received an invoice for $495 as a ""call out fee"" and said its not a roof issue, it is a stucco problem and they recommended a stucco person come fix it.

We called to discuss this absurd charge and obviously incorrect charge that we were not told about up front and NEVER agreed to, because every other roof company does free estimates and they were the ones who did the roof in the first place.
Upon calling, we were told ""repairs were done"" which they were not, the email clearly says it was ""NOT a roof problem"", and there is no quote and no documentation was signed for repairs and no work was done. This is clearly a cash grab and a scam.

Buyer Beware: A Brief Summary of the Horrible Experience I Endured with Farfan Development:
I signed a roof replacement contract with Farfan Development back in February 2023 which included the shingle and drip edge color. This Company did a good job installing the roof but made a mistake and installed the incorrect drip edge color in which I had to wait 2.5 months later before they finally returned to replace it and then they left the debris on me and my neighbor's front lawn for a week before returning to pick up. Farfan Development is horrible at communicating, treating their clients with respect, cleaning up behind themselves in a timely manner and being honest about what they can and cannot do and does not comply with County Guidelines. Farfan told me they would be able to provide me with a wind mitigation report free if they receive the roof job, well here is another blower, the mitigation report was not even legit. The owner Doris Gomez signed the report but never came to the property to inspect. When my insurance company tried to contact her regarding the report, she never returned their call, so I contacted her and the insurance company on a 3 way call and Doris Gomez started screaming which my insurance agent and myself was on the call stating, she is not certified to complete a wind mitigation report and I would need to pay a professional 400.00 to complete and send to the insurance company. She Claimed she was only able to complete the roof version which is the section the insurance company was saying information was missing. My insurance agent interrupted and informed her that he has never heard of a roofing company unable to complete a wind mitigation report and that a report does not cost that much money. Doris Gomez continued to scream because she refused to be wrong, so my agent removed himself from the line and called me back informing me to contact a company who would come out and do a complete wind mitigation inspection for 80.00 (PA Home Inspections) which I did. I reported Farfan Development to the BBB, The DBPR and Pasco County Building development because of the horrible experience I had to go through just to have the error they made rectified which is still not 100% because they never submitted a new permit to the county so they can inspect the new drip edge they replaced which is under the Pasco County Guidelines. They wanted me to pay to have them submit a new permit for the error they made. I told them I'm not paying another penny, therefore submitted the complaint to the County and the BBB. The Owner Doris Gomez sent me personal unprofessional msgs via email in which I had to finally Block her from sending me anymore foolish msgs regarding the complaint I had sent to the county. I will be submitting my bad experience with Farfan Development review to all outlets so people would know what they are getting themselves into since I had no idea what I was getting into after signing that contract. Just an FYI, Never Pay a Company before the services is 100% complete. This was my mistake paying them before they returned to make the corrections.
