I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ami and his company, Family Roofing. My mom and I first met Ami in late August when he came to our home to provide a detailed, honest, and pressure-free estimate. With his extensive background in roof inspections, he immediately demonstrated his expertise.

Ami spent about an hour with us, communicating calmly and respectfully, especially as I translated between him and my mom. He showed remarkable patience and always managed to make her smile. My mom, who tends to be old-school and cautious when it comes to trusting others, quickly warmed up to him.

I hadn't mentioned it before, but I did seek another estimate two weeks later, and the experience was quite the opposite. The other company rushed through the process and ignored my mom, the homeowner, and their quote was nearly triple Ami's. It was clear that Ami had truly won her over.

After our project was completed--after nearly a month of my mom considering the decision--she expressed how much she liked Ami and her new roof. It's often difficult to please her when it comes to contractors, but Ami and his team succeeded in making her genuinely happy.

I highly recommend Ami and Family Roofing. He is a kind, genuine, trustworthy, and caring individual. Thank you, Ami! I truly feel like we're part of a family now, not just customers.

Ami and his staff were amazing! I was lucky to have found him on Yelp and had no connections to any roofer. I am happy to say I finally have a reliable connection in roofing.

As a first time homeowner, we know that roof repairs can be expensive and wanted to gather multiple quotes from different companies, we were so pleased that Ami came on a Sunday to give us a quote and took time out of his own day to work. We received quotes that were cheaper than his price, but after consideration and meeting Ami, we knew we had to go with someone we trust.

He helped us schedule inspections, gave us a new roof, and finished final inspection in about just a week. I am forever grateful for Ami and was able to take care of the roof repairs so easily. It was a breeze working with him and he was transparent with us throughout every step in the process. I will highly recommend him to anyone that needs a roof repair. My experience with family roofing was remarkable. Truly family roofing has become family with their honesty and their wisdom. Ami came over, checked out our attic and roof, and said we didn't need a new roof right away unlike other companies we requested quotes from.

We had a smaller job - just replacing fascia and gutters. While we were a bit nervous about the percentage of costs he wanted on day one, Ami managed the project well, dealt with us honestly, and addressed all of our concerns at a price that matched our expectations. We've had our share of experiences with contractors who back pedal on verbal agreements and common sense that didn't get explicitly encoded into the contract and try to incrementally renegotiate the price, so it was refreshing to work with someone who actually meant it when he said his goal was to deliver work we'd be happy with.

I have to write this review because I have never encountered this type of honesty and transparency, especially in the construction business. I live outside of California and own a property in LA. I contacted several roofing companies to do a repair due to a couple of leaks that my tenant informed me about. One of the roofing companies was Family Roofing. Ami, the owner, let me know that he can schedule an inspection and provide me with an estimate, or he can give me an estimate based on the estimates I had already received. I decided to send him one of the estimates I got from another roofing company, and Ami was able to give me a better price - so I decided to go with him.
Family Roofing provided a detailed estimate and Ami walked me through the entire process, ensuring I was comfortable and informed every step of the way, which was important since I live out of state.
My tenant let me know that the crew who was working on the roof was respectful and great at the cleanup every day, and I cannot believe how fast they did the work.
But here's the crazy part: a few days after Ami's crew started the work, Ami called me and told me he owes me $5000. I was pretty confused why he would owe ME money. Turns out, the estimate I had received from one of the other roofing companies and forwarded to him included the cost for an entire redeck. Ami saw that I had good decking and didn't actually need to replace the entire decking. He could have easily just kept the money I already paid him but he said this would be stealing and he needs to pay me back! Thank you so much, Ami - I will never forget this!!

Getting a new roof is a bit of a daunting task and I called six or seven companies for bids. Family Roofing & Ami came in clutch. They were by far the lowest cost, had the best scheduling, and could get me all the premium material upgrades I requested. I wanted to upgrade to a certain shingle & underlay and it was no problem for them. Hands down the company to go with. Very responsive, on-time, and reliable. Definitely the best bang for your buck.

We've dealt with plenty of contractors since we bought our house, and unfortunately the good ones are few and far between. Family Roofing is one of the exceedingly few good ones. Ami took the time to explain every step of the process, was on budget, was on time, and was exceptionally communicative with us throughout the entire process. Most importantly, I could tell he legitimately cared about what he does, and that he honestly cared about making sure we were happy with the results. In a world of contractors who couldn't care less about about their client's happiness, and who don't really take pride in their work, this would've been worth paying a premium - but we didn't have to, as he was still the most affordable (i.e. no unnecessary up-charges) of any of the roofers with whom we spoke. Highly recommended.

6/5. 6 stars. Finding a roofer can be daunting when it is your first time.
Actually, finding the right business to service ANY big project can be challenging.

I honestly reviewed over 9 different roofers before pulling the trigger. And I learned alot throughout the process.

I ended up choosing Ami (owner) because he had the most positive energy, was not pushy (he is confident, there is a big difference), and during our communications, I sensed that he seemed to really take pride in his work and company and look out for my best interests. I took a chance and it ended up being the right decision.

As a customer of a big ticket project, it is natural to be weary throughout the experience.

What surprised me was that Ami made me feel more and more comfortable as process unfolded. He went out of his way.

I cannot ask for a better balance of service, quality work, speed, and basically an overall feeling and sense of security that grew as the project moved along.

Only a combination of skill, historical experience, and a sense of pride in their work can provide this type of experience.

I highly recommend Family Roofing for your roofing needs. They never kept me in the dark, answered all my questions, and I can sense that their values and morals are correct - their intention was NOT to try and simply upsell me nor scare me to do this or that just to get the job and make money.

I did not feel like just another number in their system. Their intention was to do a good job and waterproof my home. At a more than fair price. They went the extra mile and treated me like family and they worked like a family.

This is why I have no doubt in my mind that they will continue to consistently succeed as a legitimate business with such core values instilled in their business. The experience made me want to take the time to write this thoughtful review for them because everyone deserves this level of customer satisfaction.
