Just got our system up and running this week. It's been a long rollercoaster process, but worth it.

My husband started a ground-mount solar project in early 2020. It was a large project, he bought 60 panels, dug the trenching, and did some of the electrical. But in 2021 he was diagnosed with cancer. After a couple of years, he decided he needed a contractor to go ahead and finish the work. We chose EZ Solar because they were the only ones in the area who would take on a ground mount project.

They started the work in August. Josh was very friendly and communicative. Everything was moving along nicely, my husband was there to oversee it and make sure everything was going well. Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly in September.

Sky & Josh went above and beyond to finish the project. They did things that put them a step above (offering to fill in the trench, coming out at 7 pm in the rain to fix a broken water pipe). They made sure we understood what was going on every step of the way, from installation to inspections. Perhaps the hardest part (and time-consuming) was the final inspection and getting the county to send all the approvals to the electric company to get the permit to operate. EZ Solar navigated the process and helped figure out all the delays, and now we are up and running! The communication was fantastic and they assured us that we could contact them if we had any questions about the system.

Would definitely recommend them, especially if you're considering a ground-mount or off-grid system.

EZ Solar installed our rooftop solar system, 19 panels, around 18 months ago. They made a very complicated and time consuming project very easy. From start to finish they were in constant communication with us, explaining each step of the design, permitting and installation process. Even better, they offered the best price for the project over four other companies who submitted bids. Our working system now generates more electricity than we actually consume, so we're very happy with the entire project. Highly recommended.

I met Sky about 7 years ago in Mexico. I learned a bit about him and his business at that time. Since I live in Utah, I didn't expect that it would be profitable for him and his business to install my solar. I worked with a local company for my solar. After receiving a bid and list of supplies, I ran it past Sky. He made some very wise recommendations that I approached my solar provider with. Not only did I save some money, but I got a much better and more reliable system due to Sky's recommendations. I highly recommend him for your solar needs.

I had solar installed in October of 2022. The projected production was 5006 kw per year. My actual production for this year was 5060 kw with 10 days remaining so almost exactly as originally projected!

Although I find the SDGE bills confusing, my electric bill is minimal since I'm a net producer to the Grid. My year end ""True up"" was a small credit to me.

I own a pool and found out that I wasn't running my filter enough so I increased my usage significantly but saw no increase in my SDGE bills.

As part of the evaluation process, my electrical box was inadequate for solar plus my house did not have conduit going to the street so replacing my box would be a major project. They recommended adding a sub panel to my existing box to give us the capacity to install solar plus extra capacity to add additional breakers if needed.

Another part of this process was replacing all of my old Zinsco breakers since Zinsco breakers have been known to cause fires.

From a cosmetic perspective; the panels are unobtrusive since they match my black roof.

I'm very happy with my decision to install solar plus with EZ Solar. They did what they promised!

Really appreciated EZ Solar for the stellar, and quality, of the job they did on our Solar System and installation. Done on time allowed us to benefit from the savings and value of having a Solar System.
I let it run for a few months now and NO ELECTRIC BILL. (Maybe taxes, etc., but can't get away from them.) Still, very minimal but constant, never to increase with the next inevitable SDGE rate increase.
We did shop around for different solar companies, and as anyone shopping for solar installations, received HUNDREDS of calls from other companies.
We settled with EZ Solar and are glad we did.
Hope this helps someone else receiving those same ""cold calls' only to finally come to the conclusion EZ Solar worked best, financially and product-wise.

My solar was installed a month or so ago. Ever since I wrote the review here on Yelp, all my concerns and requests were promptly addressed. Giovanna was my point of contact, and she has been very helpful. Overall, I'm satisfied with the service after all the confusion and ruckus that happened in the beginning.

This company is on the low end, maybe mediocre for a solar business. They completed solar for my home and were average for response and workmanship. They slowly returned calls right up until i paid in full. After the install they never returned or responded to multiple emails or texts to answer basic system questions or how to use the platform or really anything. Terrible response, i only hope to God that my system doesn't break because I'm sure they'll continue being ghosts. Does the CEO read Yelp i wonder...?
