I just called them and they are not doing any new roofs until September 2017 or repairs until June 2017. FYI! Two months to wait for a leak to be repaired seems a bit excessive to me. Maybe it's all the great reviews they are getting hear. Too bad, I was hoping to find a roofing company for our family and properties in SF.

Excelsior did a roof patch for me a year and a half ago, when the leak reappeared they came and fixed it FREE OF CHARGE. That's great customer service. Highly recommended for your roofing needs

After many years of fantastic service, my roofer retired. This is one those happy, sad news events in you life. If you're a home owner in SF, a quality roofer you can trust is really important--for your peace of mind, and your property's life span. After a long, serious search--many roofers telling me I needed a new roof (mod bitumen is not the standard any more)--I settled on Excelsior--""the roof is older but years away from replacement"". From the owners to the crew, they are honest, professional, and do beautiful work. They extended the life of my 20 year old mod bitumen roof by at least 5+ years with a perfectly executed day of roof maintenance. When the time comes for a new roof you know who I'll call. Highly recommended.

Excelsior Roofing went well above and beyond what was expected for a roofing company. We were lucky to book them ahead of last winter's rains and we were really glad we did. Out of the 5 bids I got they were right in the middle, but their quote was reasonable given the complexities of our roof (multiple pitched and flat sections).

When our original install date got moved up, we happened to be out of town but this wasn't a problem for their crew. By the time we got back they had finished most of the roof and only needed another day and a half on the job. Mark was great in explaining exactly what they had done while we were gone (and even pointed out areas of dryrot that they went ahead and fixed on their own). They also replaced all of our downspouts for much less than I would have estimated, and even added additional drainage to divert excess water. Our roof, gutters, and downspouts worked perfectly during heavy rains and I have no doubt will last a very long time.

Did a great job for us at a competitive price (best of three bids we obtained). Their work crew was punctual, communicative, and courteous. And amazingly enough in today's USA, they are unionized and get employee benefits. Five years ago they could have sold us a new roof, but they told us it was in good shape and that we could wait a while before needing to do anything. Honest -- not out to gouge customers. They showed up punctually for all appointments and returned messages. They were careful to not damage the satellite TV dish infrastructure in the roof, and also with our skylights. They cleaned up the mess around the work site making us and our neighbors very happy. Locally owned company. Nice people. Great outfit!!!

After getting other quotes to replace my kitchen roof, I chose Excelsior Roofing based on their price, detailed quote, and 5-star rating on Yelp. I believe I made the right choice. Bill came and provided me with an estimate very quickly. During my five months of decision making, Mark Powers was very kind to answer all my questions. They even told me they start the work even before I got to paying them my down payment. Very efficient!

Today, Raul and his team came on time and prepared with the permit, which they take care of, btw. I really couldn't see the finished work and I won't really know until the rainy season. However, I would like to review the customer service. Raul and his team were courteous and helped me move a huge furniture that was blocking their way. They kindly put it back for me after they were done. They left the work area neat (neater than before).

Great experience! They took care of everything, with a detailed estimate. Scheduled a date ahead of time (they are busy and we had some travel coming up). All the old material was removed, then new roof in place later the same day. Our light well was completely redone and is now leak proof. Completely cleaned up all around - you wouldn't even know work had been done. Would highly recommend! Call sooner rather than later to get on their schedule!

Given his many years of roofing experience, owner, Mark Powers was concise in his estimate and detailed all recommended work at a competitive cost. Removal of an old roof surface followed by the Installation of a new tar & gravel roof on a main flat roof and side lightwell roof area was accomplished in one and one-half days by Mark's outstanding team of experienced craftsmen. The professional quality and customer care of Excelsior Roofing is deserving of the highest praise.

Excelsior just put a new roof on my house. From start to finish, the experience was great. I got a quick response to my request for an estimate; there was a 3-month waiting list for installation but Mark contacted me at the 3-month mark to schedule and the roof was installed on the date promised. Very high quality work and the crew was very professional, obviously very experienced, checked in with me during the process as decisions/questions arose. From set-up to clean-up they were impeccable and a pleasure to work with. And, as another reviewer said, Mark Powers was great to deal with throughout - prompt and direct responses to questions I had in advance of the job. Highly recommend.
