My experience with Epic Energy was the best! From the initial contact right through to the closing of the deal and beyond, the process was as good as it gets. Everything was handled with a professionalism that made it easy and simple for me. If I was told I was going to get a call, it happened. If I called there was always someone to help me to my satisfaction. My roof was installed exactly when it was scheduled and finished without any glitches. And from past experiences with contractors I was blown away by their cleanup after the job was completed. I would highly recommend Epic Energy to everyone. You can't go wrong here.

It's been a few weeks since I posted my initial review, and I am very happy to report that things have been turned around significantly.

Obviously, I was extremely frustrated when I composed my initial review. I expected to get the standard Yelp response of ""Dear Mrs. Reed, we're sorry to hear you had a negative experience. That's not what we strive for. Please reach out to us at ###-#### so we can further discuss this. Blah blah blah."" But, no. The morning after I wrote my initial review, Nate, one of the partners of Epic Energy (not just some random customer service Joe Schmo), reached out to me via email to discuss what was going on.

I initially planned on writing off anything else involving Epic when/if they reached out to me, but there was something about his email that made me inclined to respond. So, I sat down and wrote him a very detailed and lengthy timeline and explanation of everything that went on.

The response I received from him went above and beyond what I could've ever imagined. It was one of the most sincere, professional, and truly caring interactions I've ever had with a business. We ended up speaking on the phone for quite some time where he really took the time to understand not only what went wrong, but how and why it went wrong. This wasn't a conversation filled with empty and scripted apologies. This was a businessman who took responsibility where appropriate - not out of obligation because I left a poor review - but out of a sense of caring about the customer and striving to have a genuinely great company and process.

The issue with the UCC filing (""lien"") is unfortunately tied to our solar loan, but fees were reimbursed and it sounds like they've done their own further research and passed along clarification and education to their employees on this aspect of getting solar, so that it does not happen again in the future.

Additionally, Nate again followed up to show me a three page PDF list of the entire solar install process, from start to finish, that really breaks everything down step by step in a clear and concise manner. It was something I had suggested as feedback during our phone conversation but was surprised to see that it was actually put into action! He says it will be circulated to all future Epic customers, and based on my own personal experience, I believe it will truly help alleviate many of the issues that I personally ran into.

At the end of the day, my install process was much more difficult than it should've been and wasn't perfect. However, the response from Epic and plan for future customers that they are in the process of implementing makes me feel very confident that anyone choosing Epic for themselves will have a much better experience than I did.

Thank you Nate for resolving this fiasco so professionally and timely. You are an excellent businessman.

I had been looking into a new roof and solar for a while. I knew what I wanted, just not sure how to get it. I have had several quotes but what I wanted was WAY out of my range. Kyle called out of the blue and the product he was talking about was what I was looking for and way less expensive and included the gutters. I am extremely happy with the outcome.
The best part for me is that Kyle's answered my continuous calls and questions before, during, and after the installation. He even called me back on Sundays.

Epic Energy installed our new roof. It looks really nice. There was a few problems along the way. They said replacing the eves wasn't in our contract. But after we had a roof leak because they didn't replace the flashing. They came out and installed new flashings and eves. Then we had to call back to have them remove the waste lumber and extra shingles off the lawn. We were supposed to get a 30 year manufacture warranty for the roof, and a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I called them today and they try to tell us we have a 50 year manufacture warranty and NO parts and labor warranty. We are waiting to here back from the manager but he hasn't contacted us yet!

The people at Epic Energy were awesome!! They were professional from the beginning to end of the project.

I started with a call to Mary Sabate, the contact person for Epic Energy. She came to my home and checked the air and heating unit and agreed that it needed to be replaced. She was very thorough explaining the entire process and showed me pictures of the project they did in her home. She helped me with the finance and got me a low interest rate loan that was very affordable.

Next came the crew of seven or eight guys, all very professional, clean, polite and very nice. They took the heater and air conditioner and replaced them on day one. On day two, they took all the ducking out and replaced that with larger duck work. With the extra attic insulation from the old duck work they used it to add extra insulation and cover any holes in the attic that were open. They made sure all the registers and duck work were tightly sealed. When the project was done they completely cleaned the attic. It looked like brand new up there and was super clean. I wish the people that built my house had that much pride in their work!!

When they removed the old air conditioner from the back patio, the cement was all cracked from the weight of the air conditioner. They placed a plastic stand on top of the cement and then attached the air conditioner to the stand. The worker was not satisfied with the way it looked. We had just finished putting in a new fence in the backyard. He asked if he could use one of the leftover fence boards. We said yes and he proceeded to cut the board and attach it to the base of the plastic base to create a wooden frame for the base of the air conditioner. It looks so nice like that. I can't believe he went the extra mile to do that, just to make it look pretty!!!

Epic went above and beyond my expectations! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone needing a new air conditioner or heating unit. Every step of the project was done quickly and professionally. They made everything really easy and I had no worries. I also felt the price quoted to me for the entire project was low compared to some of the other companies out there.

Addendum:

Since posting the below review, I've had a lengthy conversation, with one of the owners of Epic Energy, Nate. We discussed each stage of the work completed on my home back in June of this year. We narrowed down the issues and agreed most of the problems were do to lack of communication between the office staff and field workers.

During this conversation I was assured that many changes have been made to correct these issues over the past several months. I am confident that Nate has taken the proper steps to make the Epic Energy Family create a more cohesive and client friendly experience for all. He even offered to let me ride along and see for myself.

We talked about the $250 prize for the drawing for those who post feedback for the company. It seems that they were trying to encourage people to leave honest feedback regarding their experience with the company. I felt that it might encourage people with no integrity to leave feedback just to win a prize. I was not my intention to make anyone believe that the company had no integrity.

Last but certainly not least, in all fairness I will admit that Travis may have felt less than welcome in our home. My little Bichon dog Bentley, bit Travis on the leg when he entered our house. Again, Travis, we are very sorry.

I have a lot to say but I am in the middle of typing it up at the moment. I wanted to get something up to go hopefully prevent anyone from making the same mistake I did and contracting with this company.

Do Not under any circumstances contract with this company. In short they don't call you back, talk down to you and fail to pull permits unless you call them on it.

We had our complete HVAC system replaced last week. Kandis came out on Saturday to get us all set up. We got our appointment 10 days later. The guys were scheduled to come between 8-10am, they arrived right around 8am. It was 107deg day, great timing on our part. When I got home from work Ben, D and Eddie were still there finishing up. They got both the indoor and outdoor units installed and hooked everything up to our old duct work for the night so we weren't having to stay in a 95deg house. They stayed until almost 8pm getting everything up and running. My son, myself and our three dogs were so appreciative of their concern for us. Eddie and Ben came back the next day, 15 minutes prior to their scheduled arrival time and got everything all hooked up and going by 7pm. All the guys were very nice, professional and very personable. I would recommend their service to anyone and everyone. Thank you Epic Energy for such a great experience, even in the 100+ degree heat. You totally rock!!!!

I meet with Erik from Epic Energy about having windows and a patio window installed. He ask me some questions and Erik gladly explained to me the different types of windows and the break down in price to best fit my needs. He even gave me a booklet to keep so I could get a visual of the windows. He even went over some of things that the company offered like roofing, solar, A/C, etc.... I am very pleased so far with the company and Erik is very knowledgable and shows passion for the company.
