Ernie, a sales representative came to our house last weekend. He was SO pushy. He wanted to charge us $31,000 for a 13x30 insulated pergola for our back patio (this was supposedly with a discount, doubt it). We told him we had other quotes coming in. He was pushing us on the $31,000 and said everyone else would be very comparable. We got a quote today for the same exact design/insulated pergola for $11,550 with permits! Do not go with this company unless you want to waste a bunch of extra money.

We had our home painted with the cool tech paint they offered. They also did a *lot* of prep work including repairing some dry rot issues, some significant holes in the stucco, and pressure washing everything. We decided that even though $18k was kind of steep it would be worth it to have the entire exterior fixed and painted. We were assured that we would never have to paint again. Jacob showed up on time each day of the project and worked hard. He was awesome and his work ethic was impeccable. The house looks fantastic and we get loads of compliments. The biggest problem we have is with the financing company they used for this project. They are awful.

We wanted to redo our windows as they are the original 1955 windows and are not energy efficient at all. We really did like the work that was done on the house..so we called and asked if there would be a way to not use the same financial lender. They said with the windows there's a program that will let you add the cost to your mortgage. So, they cane out and gave us a presentation on why Anlin Windows would be awesome for our needs. We agreed. The windows are made in Clovis so it was a fairly quick turn around. The guys came out at 9 and were done with all 6 windows by noon. They were also awesome. They cleaned up as they went and knew exactly what they were doing. Our house looks soooo much better now!!

I would have no issue recommending them as long as you pay close attention to the loan terms. As far as their abilities, they are Rockstars at what they do.

I do not recommend this preditory company. I called this company multiple times to cancel my contract and was unable to reach any representativesif this company. I left voice mails and emails with no response. I even went as far as reaching out to the finance company and they also sent a email to this company to cancel however they informed me that they never recieved a response from energy star and i would have to contact them my self. Now their representative Zach is threatening me with a lein on my home if I don't allow them to place the windows.

Warning!! Read before doing business with Energy Star Construction!!!! This company lies! We had a signed contract for a specific amount for a free-standing pergola. There was 3 days to cancel the contract per signed contract by both parties. They came back 6 days after cancellation period to say they need 25% more than what was originally quoted despite no change to the scope of the project or anything. This company lies and try to get more money out of you past the contractual price. Do not trust this company as they are not honorable nor reputable company to work with. They will do a bait and switch!

The worst contracting project I have ever experienced. I regret ever trusting them.
1. I was told this project would take 7-10 days. Instead it's been a grand total of 47 days from 9/25/22 to 11/10/22.

2. The niche in the shower I asked for has not been placed in the correct area and is not the correct size compared to the inspiration pictures I gave them.

3. They did not complete the vanity installation since they never ordered the light fixture I picked out. I still have my old one in place.

4. Our contract states 3 recess lights will be placed in and only 2 were installed.

5. I was told that my vanity cabinets will be specially made to look like my old ones but the ones I got do not have drawers like my old ones.

6. The granite counter tops are not installed correctly. There is a piece that does not aligned properly

7.All the tile in my shower is uneven and they blamed it in on my walls.

The list goes on and on. Over all they were extremely unprofessional and they hired contractors from other companies who did not know what they were doing. There was no communication and false promises.

Do not go with this company!!!! Has horrible customer service, we had such a bad experience. We had decided to get patio done by them but had a few questions to ask and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Finally got a hold of the sales rep John after trying different phone numbers. He's yelling at me over the phone saying we never called or left him messages. After a few minutes of our conversation he then says ""I didn't get the cancellation message til this morning"". So he basically just lied about not receiving calls. He's arguing with me the whole time we hang up then he calls me back again after a few minutes to yell at me again. I told him I'm not going to have an argument over some miscommunication we are still canceling cuz of bad customer service. I hung up cuz I wasn't going to sit there and let him yell at me then he texts me saying we never called him and that we only called him today cuz we wanted out deposit back. So I sent him my call log and he finally stopped harassing me. Wth! If I could give zero stars I would. Fail on customer service and please hire better people for your company

Painting a home: Pressure wash only. They will not sand down any wood.
For $18,000 dollars I expect a crew to sand down the trim on a 2000sq-ft home.

Best company to do the job! My mom wanted to redo her patio and we contacted them and they were very efficient and professional. Thought it took a little while it was definitely worth the wait. Great quality work and the installers went above and beyond to make sure my mom was satisfied. I will definitely recommend this company to others !

Did not have any work done by this company and for good reason! I feel the integrity of this company is questionable. First, they interrupted my dinner by knocking on the door even though a ""NO SOLICITING"" sign was clearly posted on my front door at eye level. I was upset but needed some work done so I spoke with them. The salesperson pressured me into scheduling an appointment the following day (Friday). Unfortunately, I fell ill on Friday and cancelled the appointment. I asked if they could call back on Monday to reschedule. That's when the harassment began. I started getting calls on Saturday from people stating they were with Energy Star and were calling to reschedule. I explained the situation and advised someone is going to call me on Monday to reschedule. Fifteen minutes, later, I get another call from someone different from Energy Star wanting to re-schedule! By this time, I'm upset and tell them I feel I'm being harassed and no longer wish to do business with them. I received 19 more calls in 11 days. The last call was today after 8:00pm from a ""No Caller ID"" number. When I answered and found out it was Energy Star, I advised the caller to remove my name from all their lists, and if they called again, I was going to file a harassment suit against them! The caller promptly hung up! Hope this is the end of the nightmare!
