I definitely cannot recommend Energy Roofing.

The silicone coating they applied on top of our roof with a supposed 25 year warranty was installed in a defective manner. The substrate wasn't cleaned prior to coating causing micro tears across the roof, there's notable putting and delamination, the membrane wasn't installed to the manufacturers recommended mil thickness, and even nails were embedded in the silicone due to the improper installation.

Even though the business owner Tony came out and said he would have people out to fix it ""next week"", emails to their office a month later are met with ""we will address when we are back from vacation"" (A MONTH FROM NOW). Rain isn't on vacation for a month, and 6 of the units on the upper floor have leaks in large part due to the defective workmanship on this project.

Do not go anywhere else for your home improvement and roofing needs!! trust me, I got quotes from over 10 different companies before deciding who to go with, I was very picky and I finally decided to go with Energy Roofing. The team in the office was always polite and answered the phone every time. They answered all my questions and even made sure that I picked the shingle color I prefer. Throughout the job, I was assigned a project manager that made sure I got daily pictures and updates as to what is going on with my job, I also was impressed at the fact that they cleaned up every day instead of leaving the clean up for the end of the job. Regardless of the reason there are many companies out there, but I would not recommend anyone else to family and friends after my amazing experience!!

Best Roofing Company there is!
They came out and gave me an accurate quote with no extras or surprises. Their project manager made sure to keep me informed throughout the whole process with photos of every step and explanations of what was going on. The roofers came at decent hours to make sure that my kids were not sleeping or inconvenienced in any way. They made sure that my whole roof and home was clean after the job and left without any debris or even dust. Highly recommended for any of your roofing needs.

Our current roof was installed 40 years ago so it was time for a new roof. I contacted several roofing companies and choose Energy Roofing Co not only for their price but for the following reasons. Their Project Manager Niki gave an amazing presentation on the scope the reroofing from the start to finish of the project. She presented tear off procedures, materials, underlayment, roofing type, flashing, warranty information etc. Niki said the roof tear off will be messy but that they will clean the work area up nicely which they did and most of all they would be responsible for any damage. Energy Roofing Co. did a great job, is honest trustworthy and delivered as promised.

I have just received another call from this company from Michael, who says he is an owner of the company, once again threatening me to take down my original review from 2019.
He threatened to leave me false bad reviews on my business page as revenge if I do not agree. This is defamation of character.
I am beyond threatened by this man and will be reporting him.
I am not sure why he chose to revisit this from my last update.
He called me on a personal number and it has been reported for my safety.
This is beyond harassment.
This is unacceptable for any reputable business.
I do not take this lightly and will go through every avenue to protect myself from this man who has decided i am fair game to attack for an honest, personal review of my experience of his business.
And after this abuse, I am even more confident my review was correct.

This company did my roof in January and February of 2020. I wanted to wait a year to review so that I felt comfortable commenting on the work. I had multiple problems with Nikki. They include,

1. She had the wrong shingles delivered, and tried to convince me that the looked like the ones I had picked for the project.
2. She was wrong about the rebate that my project supposedly qualified for, but did not (the existence of this rebate was an enticement to agree to the project the same day as the quote).
3. She didn't know how much money I owed her at the end of the contract (she's lucky I'm an honest person).
4. She never repaired damage to my screens around the house.
5. She was wrong about the length of gutters I needed to protect the house.
6. She was wrong about the cost of the permit from the city.

Collectively, these took the project from a quoted 20K to a final cost of 32K (see the attached quote). The bulk of the additional expense, however, came when Nikki didn't realize, upon initial inspection of the roof, that the roof needed decking. But items 2, 4, 5, and 6 added significantly to the cost of the project. Don't trust what Nikki tells you; verify her claims. She's argumentative (which isn't necessarily a problem) and reluctant to accept responsibility (which is a big problem). On the occasion she does accept responsibility, it takes the form of an ""oops my bad"", and you still end up paying more.

That said, the roof has performed beautifully over the last year. I'm very happy with the workmanship--which is why I gave them the two stars.

I want to give 0 stars if I could. I waited for a few weeks so I wouldn't wrie this review when I was very very upset and disappointed. The whole process took almost 3 weeks and it was the worst nightmare.

Paid at the price you can get a professional, got cheap labor work. Can't believe they are licensed. Maybe the are licensed but hire non licensed roofer to work for them. I have no idea but if you want your roof to look decent, watch them work all day. Don't leave them work unsupervised. Maybe you will get good work that deserves 5 starts.

If you ask me, there are lots of options out there, don't bother getting even a quote from them. Why?? Because they hire a PROFESSIONAL salesman. He will promise you all you can hope for, for a competitive price. Of course, we fell for it. Once the work start, that's when things go south. And even when they left, they didn't even clean up properly.

We raised up the concerns several times about poor quality job they did, first time with the roofer, he said that's how it's supposed to be. We complained again with the company and the salesman. They said they would correct it. The first correction was even worse. They spray painted on their mistake and messed up my chimney.

Brought up with them again. They tried to correct it but still my chimney still have the spray paint on it.

They did give us small discount. That's it. We did use the discount to change the tires due to the nail they left behind. And likely we will have to cover the cost for our neighbor's window that broke while the roofer was working on our roof.

Well... like I mentioned above. You can take a chance and watch them like a hawk, so you can get 5 stars end products. For me, not going to deal business with them ever again.

Called them to Check a leak on the roof at my bosses place and they patched it up and they fixed it quick and perfect job.
We highly recommend this company if anyone is interested to use a roofer I would highly recommend calling them to get a free estimate

Update: Received a call from Susie the office manager. She and Dana both apologized for the miscommunication and Susie wanted to rectify the situation because she wanted us to be a happy and satisfied customer. So she sent out a crew to do an orange oil treatment for termites. We truly appreciate this gesture. Energy Roofing did do a nice job on our roof and gutters. It's nice to know there are businesses that still have integrity. Thank you Susie and Dana for great customer service.
