Eduardo and his team built our roof 18 years ago. The roof has held up superbly across all that time. They are incredibly responsive and very thoughtful about their work. Recently we contacted them again with a question involving a gutter: Eduardo answered my email immediately and had a team member on the roof checking it out shortly thereafter. I can't recommend them highly enough.

1) he (Eduardo and his team) did what they say and say what they did
2) after at least 4 competitive bids, it is clear that em roofing knows their stuff in detail (certain aspects of skylights for instance), and price, while not low, was at least not high. Value/price ratio was good
3) good clean up of nails and staples. One related piece of advice to the reader: trim your hedges and plants near house BEFORE the job. Otherwise, how can they clean there. I learned the hard way, but not a big deal

I've worked with Eduardo (owner) on a few small projects over the years and then recently contracted with him to replace the roof on our house. He said it would take 3-4 days and sure enough the job was completed in 3 days (from removal of the old roof to new roof installed).

To give you a sense for the type of person Eduardo is, sometime ago (before we had our new roof installed) I asked him if he could inspect a new roof my mother-in-law had had installed by another company. She lives in San Jose which is outside of where EM Roofing normally operates, but Eduardo made a special trip down there to check it out and give my mother-in-law peace of mind. She then tried to pay him for his time but wouldn't accept anything. That, is the kind of person you'll be working with if you choose EM Roofing.

As far as our experience goes, the entire project was about as easy as it gets. I have to give a strong shout-out to Rafael who was the foreman on our job. He was extremely patient with the ""thousand"" questions I asked him, and he and his crew worked their butts off getting our new roof installed during a heatwave no less. And before they left, they made sure to pick-up/clean-up all debris that was created during the project.

Very happy with EM Roofing. They replaced the roof and gutters on our garage in April - they were fast, efficient, and did high-quality work at sensible cost. This is the second roof EM Roofing has done for us. The first one it was a more complicated task because the heat in the upper floor of the building. Eduardo came with a great idea and design. Almost 8 years later the roof is still in great shape and no one complain so far. The second roof it was completed in my house about a month ago. All the crew was respectful and professional. They did an excellent job in replacing a cedar wood shake with a new synthetic roof shake while accommodating the same roof deck space sheathing that is used for wood shake roofs. Eduardo was willing to work with me on adjusting his scheduling of the job as the material delivery was delayed. He and his crew did an excellent job in installing and also making sure all other aspects of the job were completed such as replacing or repairing flashing, cleanup, etc. His foreman for the job along with the roofers were very friendly, courteous along with being excellent roofers.

We had just a small job of getting leaf guards put over our rain gutters. After consulting about our needs and type of debris we were getting, Edwardo recommended 2 types for us to choose from. These guards are sturdy and permanent, and will keep our gutters free of leaves, twig pieces, and asphalt tile bits.
They finished in less than half a day, and did a spectacular job of cleaning up the entire roof, gutters, and then the yard when they were done.

We recently contracted with EM Roofing to replace the old, wood shingle roof of our old home in Palo Alto with CertainTeed asphalt shingles. We initially used EM Roofing a few years ago for some minor repair work and we came back to them when we needed this major work done.
