agree wholeheartedly with other 1 star reviewers. Deceitful unethical scammers who didn't properly bid our roof and new skylight, didn't even pull all required permits (lied about that too), never gave us the required Proper Bid or Scope after telling us that the initial estimate was 200% the actual estimate as they apparently always do this in order to give them room to negotiate on our behalf with the insurer. Ha. That somehow became a real estimate. They didn't discuss what our finished roof would even be or let us choose from possible materials and levels of warranty etc. options. They showed us one brochure and said ""pick a color"", promising more detail would follow as well as samples, which never did. We were led to believe we would be getting same roof in diff color but oh, the secret add-ons.... untold to us until AFTER the reroof for whom they used unapproved & likely uninsured roofing supplier's crew to install breaching contract. All done improperly on 1 long hot day. No site mgmt. tho lied & said showed up. Doubt the midroof inspection actually happened. All pre-approval requirements ignored. Caused structural damage to now bowing beams. Underlayment is now literally moving. Shingles not nailed properly, never adhered, and many not cemented. Didn't replace all flashing as required. Shingles sloughing excessively from get-go so probably expired, defective or recalls. First acknowledged plethora of defects now deny any wrongdoing & actually had gall to try to blame owners! Costing us greatly as litigation is ongoing for 2 years now. Months of waiting for empty promises to be fulfilled then agree on objective inspection & instead serve us an invalid lien then a lis pendens. OSHA violations. No prep or clean up ever and through away all packaging.... All warranties are now voidable due to improper installation. Roof slopes everywhere (cheap composite ""plywood"") that's now rotting in places - even our insurer removed their AOB power without formal cancelation once discovered they added and added unnec. charges in order to get literally every penny of our Recoverable Depreciation. Insurer removed that money too. So we ended up with much less than we now require to reroof their abhorrent mess. Their delays caused delays to repair lanai screen so pool became clogged with debris, mold (still having issues with mold and moths) & literally live creatures. Pool still leaks & lacks suction. Their preferred screener misquoted 2x then tried to increase it by 1000%! We ultimately pd. double that orig. misquote to get it done right by Palm Coast Screening. Also ELO labor threw dirty tarp atop our HVAC compressor which then burned out & had to be replaced so another $7300+interest ($10k). They knew we wouldn't have ins. funds to meet pymt schedule but chose to set date & move ahead & now say we breached... On and on and on. We ultimately received less than they're demanding not to mention all the other costs and losses and senior abuse and actual threats and emotional and financial hardship and losses. Do NOT recommend. This was the ELO JAX branch. Their modus operandi can be seen in county records as they file tons of liens which makes one wonder. And we only did reroof because we had to due to age of home - our insurance has actually doubled! And won't cover us for pre-existing damage so ELO willfully has left us in a position of personal liability and are jeopardizing our safety, health and welfare and chose to do nothing. Unconscionable.

I had to take a long time to write this review because I was so disheartened by my experience. It was a frustrating and costly ordeal that fell FAR short of my expectations. I would strongly advise against using Elo Roofing for any roofing needs.

My experience with Elo Roofing was deeply disappointing for several reasons. Despite our agreed-upon terms originally, I was shocked to discover an additional $3,000 charge on my bill. We were quoted ~$14,000 (which was fair with the other quotes we got!) but we ended up paying ~$17,000. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there.

Poor Protection and Cleanliness
- The workers failed to cover my pool during installation of the roof, leading to significant debris contamination, along with a brand new pool filter destroyed and not taken responsibility for.
- Nails were literally flowing out of my gutters, there were piles of nails underneath them after every rain storm. Rolls of nails were left in our yard.
- Almost a year later, we continue to find nails throughout our property. We constantly get flat tires and have to pick up nails off the ground. I'm afraid to walk in my yard with bare feet.

Incompetent Workmanship:
- The lack of expertise among the workers necessitated a COMPLETE roof redo.
- Materials I had already paid for were carelessly discarded.
- Our gutters are now crooked and pooling since they did our roof.
- Our Lanai has a leak

Prolonged Construction and Mess:
- Despite the small size of our roof, the construction dragged on for four grueling days of misery and our pets being scared because of all the banging on the roof.
- Trash was left everywhere during those four days and remained afterward.

Unprofessional Behavior:

I was truly embarrassed to have these workers in my driveway all week long as a new homeowner and new to my neighborhood. This is not the impression I want to put out. They had the most stereotypical dilapidated van which I typically wouldn't judge.

-They tell you verbal statements that are actually just lies according to the paperwork.

-None of the workers had safety harnesses. I see they have had previous problems with OSHA.

- Our salesmen, Sam and CJ, took us out to dinner afterward, but we later realized this was an attempt to placate us after a botched job.
- They pestered us to put their sign back up in our yard after we removed it to mow our grass.

Save yourself frustration, financial loss, loss of time, and potential hazards by choosing against ELO roofing. And the most important part, your peace of mind.

Things to note: Sam and Cj are ridiculously nice to get you to choose them. We had three other quotes on our roof and we decided to go with Elo because we thought they were professional when it was actually quite the opposite. They are very welcoming to young naive new homeowners. They are dangerously nice and use it as a weapon to profit off of you. I wish my review could do more justice to how bad of an experience I had.

ELO has been fantastic to work with...Gary Korb found damage on my roof and helped me file a claim with my insurance company. I had my roof replaced in less than 4 weeks, in one day. They did everything they said they would do. I would recommend Elo Roofing.

Y'all charged me for something y'all didn't even do in my home. Y'all are scamming people and y'all have changed y'all name multiple times because of the business y'all run. Y'all are notarizing the customers names without their knowledge and consent. Both of y'all workers told a bold face lie in court and all y'all did was emailed my insurance company the whole entire scope of my home like y'all did both. You only showed the part where the insurance company verified the amount for the job. And don't no extra material cost all most 5,000 dollars. Y'all are a bunch of crooks and that's why y'all can't run a company in Jacksonville because y'all are crooks.Make sure they give y'all a receipt and balance so they can't inflate the prices on something they didn't do. You went as far as making up paperwork from my insurance company and the judge didn't even care to know what y'all did to me!! My insurance company put the truth in writing and the judge still didn't care.Stop scamming people and their insurance companies. I didn't need a lawyer to tell the truth. Y'all needed a lawyer to HELP TELL MORE LIES UNDER OATH. Everyone that uses this company, please go to the city and pull the permit and make sure they didn't have a notary to notarize your name without your consent and presence. Don't sign any paperwork without copies right then and there. They don't give you any copies of your paperwork that day. What they do is go back and falsify documentation and then send you paperwork in the mail or email. Please take pictures with your cellphone or something these ********* are DANGEROUS to the WORLD. BELIEVE WHAT I SAY AND THEY GET THEIR WORKERS TO TESTIFY AND THEY wasn't even the ones I DEALT WITH..!! PLEASE PEOPLE BE CAREFUL AND MY ALLEGATION ARE ABSOLUTELY TRUE WITHOUT A DOUBT....
AND MAKE SURE Y'ALL DON'T GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR INSURANCE SCOPE. LET THEM GET ON YOUR ROOF THEMSELVES AND GIVE THEIR ESTIMATE, NOT YOUR INSURANCE ESTIMATE!! READ THIS ARTICLE FOLKS FOR YOUR OWN PURPOSES....
