WARNING!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH H&M General Contractors AKA Elektro Renovations!! We hired them in June 2022 to build a deck and gable. They have fraudulent business practices and are operating without a State license; leaving them unable to pull the required building permits. They made numerous attempts to circumvent the permitting process. Their business license was renewed ONLY after I discovered that they also didn't have an active license (although I was told by Ximena that they did).

They incorrectly measured the frame of the deck (overage by 3ft!!!). Had to dismantle and rebuild the frame, but didn't remove the cement pillars that were left behind from the incorrect measurements. Stair stringer was incorrectly cut, step treads were not leveled, step overhang was not per code, new cement pillars were not installed according to code, support beams were ""balancing"" on several of the cement pillars, joints were not touching, they ""forgot"" to install the concrete landing at the base of the stairs prior to building the stair frame, house siding damaged during the process of removing the existing deck, yard and surrounding area damaged from negligence (uprooted established flower bed, lawn died from building materials sitting for over one month).

The job was left unfinished because they did not have the proper licensure or permits to continue. We reached out to Mayra Hernandez to request a refund and reimbursement for the damage to property. As of today she has refused to respond.

It's important to note that we located this company on Thumbtack, considered their BBB rating, and reviews. What NOW stands out to us is that there aren't a decent number of reviews (for the time that they've been in business) and none of their reviews are recent!! All of which are RED FLAGS!!

Part my siding was separating from my home. The separation was also occurring around the gable. I had a few roofing contractors to come out and give me a price. Some companies indicated that the job was too complex for their company to take on. Some companies stated that it was too small of a job for their company to take on. Some companies had a longer turnaround time to complete the job.

Not H&M contractors. I called them to come out and give me a price quote. They were out within a couple of days. We are in times of covid I was so happy to see that their employees had on masks.

They sent me a price quote within a couple of days. They informed me that they could complete the job in a couple of days as well. They fixed the siding right and it looks like it did prior to separation.

I do plan on using them for future home renovation needs. I definitely recommend them!
