Ricardo and his crew did a wonderful job replacing our entire roof. They were in time, under budget, and took great care with removing the old materials and installing the new. It's been a few months since the replacement, and we've had zero problems through sun and rain. Very happy with their work!

I made appointments with four 5-star roofing contractors. All of them were great, but of those four, El Puma Roofing stood out. They were the first company to answer my call and had an opening the next day for an estimate. I was looking for a contractor who will do the job right with great craftsmanship. I could tell right away both Ricardo Sr. and Ricardo Jr. have a lot of knowledge and experience as I asked them for solutions to my problems. I was happy to find out that they have 20+ years experience, with Ricardo Sr. having been a foreman at his last company. Ricardo Jr. has learned to be a detailed craftsman from his dad since he was young, but he is also amazing in managing the front end of the business like answering phone calls, giving quotes, drawing up contracts, making sure everything is ordered, getting permits, giving directions to his crew, etc. as well as doing the actual reroofing work. Ricardo Jr. is a great project manager with good communication skills. What I like about them is that they have great respect for each other and make decisions together. They are equal partners. They listened and addressed EVERY concern of mine. They replaced termite infested plywood, fascia and rafters, made supports for the roof around my sunroom, cleaned and installed torch down roof for my flat sunroom roof, closed up gaps to deter rodents, birds and wasps from nesting, put in a new bathroom vent with flex tubing attached, replaced my 2 dormer vents with 4 low profile O'Hagin vents, added an O'Hagin vent in my garage, straightened the pipes, as well as help find solutions for my rusty chimney cap. They use high quality materials like t-tops with mesh and UDL 40 underlayment. El Puma Roofing has made my roof as efficient as possible in keeping pests out and our house cool. A bonus, I will be able to get a tax credit for installing Landmark Solaris Cool Roof Shingles!

This is my second Five Star Review for El Puma Roofing. I called. It stopped raining. El Puma came the next day to inspect and make an emergency repair. They (Ricardo and Junior) returned a week later to COMPLETELY restore an increasingly weakening aspect of my FLAT ROOF. They and two additional super workers worked all day to completely remedy the problem. I say If yo have a flat roof - El Puma will really make a huge difference. I asked them to return twice per year to inspect all of my roofs - to better ensure my peace of mind. In my ""homeowner"" judgement my existing roof will last years more because of their work and the semi-annual inspections!

After, receiving 5 independent estimates from local roofing contractors, our family selected El Puma Roofing. From the beginning we knew our father's roof (60+ year old house) needed much work, due to wood rot, termite damage, and battering from this years winter storms. El Puma Roofing came out expeditiously, and gave us a fair medium priced estimate in comparison to other contractors, As well as, being friendly and professional. Ricardo Jr. made us aware from inception of the probability their may be additional costs. Although, we did not know how extensive the damage was until after the peeling away of 4 layers of shingles. Ricardo Sr. evaluated the damage thoroughly, and the associated repair for additional costs was reasonable and necessary.

I would recommend El Puma Roofing to anyone that is searching for a trusting, reliable, and efficient, roofer. My father is 87 years old and could have easily been taken advantage for price gouging. El Puma Roofing, Ricardo Jr and Ricardo Sr have much integrity, and are passionate in their trade. I highly recommend El Puma Roofing! Blessings

This is a father/son business and i found that both Ricardo's had the highest integrity. They squeezed me into their schedule to help me out, charged me a very fair price and managed to complete the 1,680 sq foot reroof in 5 days including plan checks. They carry insurance, their licenses are up to date, and they had no problem emailing me both certificates at my request. They are super easy to work with, easy to reach, very communicative, and nice people. I plan on using them again. And the work looks great.

I highly recommend El Puma Roofing, as they are knowledgeable, skilled, professional, and extremely easy to work with.

This winter has been a particuarly wet season, and this was a good sized project. El Puma executed roof removal and installation expeditiously and deftly between back to back storms.

When I started looking for roofing contractors, I contacted 3 companies to provide me with a quote. One did not respond. El Puma was the first to arrive, and based on responses to questions I had (I had done a fair amount of online research as to what I should be aware of) I immediately knew El Puma was highly experienced, honest, and practical. The second company to visit my project site put on an extremely long sales presentation. I could tell right away the sales reps for this second company have zero experience installing roofs, and could only sell me the roofing shingle manufacturer's corporate line (I also recieved multiple phone calls attempting to gain me as a client after letting this company know I had selected another contractor).

There was no doubt in my mind which roofing contractor I was going to work with. El Puma had demonstrated experience and knowledge during the site visit, the quote was detailed and I was happy to see they use high quality shingles, and the work provided was top-notch.

The recent strong winds in Oxnard blew off my chimney cap and shroud. El Puma Roofing was able to come out the same day and was quick in giving me a very reasonable quote. They were also able to install a tarp over the chimney to protect it from the rain while the chimney cap and shroud were being custom made. I am very happy with their quick response, quality of work, reasonable price and my copper chimney cap and shroud are a beautiful addition to my home.
