I am currently in the process of doing an entire ADU from a garage .
I read recent reviews both good and bad and I'd like to share mine !
So far I have seen no subcontractors!
Initially communication was less than desired!
Upon my request that quickly changed.
I myself am in the general contracting business and so far I can't say enough good things about how this company does its work..
Pricing is fair and work and attention to detail exceptional!
I'll report again in 6 weeks..

We just had two bathrooms completely remodeled including all new sewer lines, lighting, insulation, complete new showers, sinks, toilets, and fixtures.
It took a long time but the end result was worth it. Thank you to Samantha, Chencho, Jonathan, and Daniel for making this remodel experience a great one. I would definitely recommend EGN builders for my next project.

Called up and showed up to look at project and said they were doing their proposals the next day. Been over three weeks and no proposal. They did state was going to be late because of influx of job requests. Would have been nice if they just would have said they were too busy and not interested instead of keeping you hanging.

Initially, I was quite impressed with EGN Builders Group. We were looking to transform a closet into an office, and EGN was one of the first companies I contacted. Someone answered right away and seemed confident and eager that the company could do the work for us. Representatives were sent a day later to come check out the space and gather the info necessary to provide a quote.

I should have known on that day that EGN was just smoke and mirrors. First of all, during the ~5 minutes that they were actually here, no one took measurements of anything. Not a thing. They basically eyeballed it. They didn't really go in the closet to get a closer look. I was naïve and thought maybe they had done these jobs plenty of times in the past or something... LOL. They said they could do the work, they'd get me a quote ASAP, and left.

Well, I got the quote a few days later... way lower than it should have been. I called and asked a few questions, and they said they would get back to me. Apparently, they didn't actually realize the extent of the job. There were no measurements, and they asked me to send dimensions over to them. LOL, what?!

I waited for a few more days -- nothing. So I called again and they said the representative was no longer there. Okay. I was told I would hear back once they were able to figure some things out on their end. We needed some work done on the door, for instance, and they needed to discuss internally how best to approach it. The door was wired a certain way, and we needed the wires removed. EGN said they had a couple of ideas and would let me know.

Then, they just never followed up. Approximately 2.5 months go by, and I get a call one afternoon from a very sheepish person who said he is from EGN and wanted to know how he can go about getting the estimate approved. By now, we had obviously moved forward with someone else. The work had been done well over a month ago, at least. The fact that EGN called after so much time had passed was... almost insulting. Definitely laughable. Especially because they still had not figured out what to do with the door. I guess they were hoping they could buy more time to figure it out...?

I would highly recommend NOT using EGN. Maybe they were going through some issues internally or whatever, but however they handled it was pitiful. Go get a quote from somewhere more reputable.

Although they were quick to respond to my initial request for quotation, I have waited over a week and still no quotation was sent. I wish EGN builders would have given me a realistic timeframe to provide a quotation.

EGN was the easiest company to work with. The materials they used and their way of working is beyond expectations. I didn't have no down time,no headache, my protect went so smooth. I did have to stressed out about anything. They took care of everything. They took care of the paperwork in the city and also help me finish a project that another builder left unfinished. Their price was very reasonable. This company was so good that I can go on and on. Without even thinking it twice I will hire them for my next project.

I'm lowering my previous 2-Star review to a 1 Star rating. (If there was a zero, I would certainly apply it!). Mr. Sarkisyan, VP of Marketing reached out to me in earnest to attempt to recover the poor professionalism that was demonstrated from their first estimators (which are no longer with the company - the only prudent action taken by this company) and respond to my initial review. However, after several days of waiting for a finalized estimate, Mr. Sarkisyan went silent and didn't provide the final estimate to proceed with this project. This lack of responsiveness and professionalism appears to be the mantra for this company and I highly recommend you avoid wasting your time with this outfit as other reviewers have suggested.

Mr. Sarkisyan, you blew it! I had a future kitchen remodeling project to be completed and several neighbors were also very seriously considering hiring your company for their remodeling projects as well based on my project completion success. Mr. Sarkisyan you certainly didn't represent your company's interest in my project or demonstrate what it takes to instill customer satisfaction and confidence in your company.

It's obvious to me, based on other 1 star reviews, that this company's ability to perform is quite inconsistent at best. Don't walk from this company but RUN!

I had an opportunity to put a bid in on a bank owned property, with an auction ending in 5 days - it seemed like a great deal, but I needed the opinion & expertise of an experienced general contractor to let me know what unforeseen problems may be associated with it in order to avoid becoming trapped in a major money pit. My relator & I had gone to the rural residential property, which brought up many questions and had difficulty finding contractors willing to do a walk through with us on such short notice. Fortunately, I got into contact with Ben Adani from EGN - he ran out to the location ASAP and sounded happy to help! While we couldn't be there all together, I took plenty of photos to refer to as Ben walked the property and spoke to me over the phone simultaneously, bringing up numerous costly repairs/code violations that we had overlooked. Unfortunately, I had to pass on the deal, but probably saved A LOT of money. I was in deed grateful to have worked with Ben and will call EGN again when looking at other investment homes in the surrounding areas in the future.

Excellent representatives who are super friendly and knowledgeable. I emailed them for a quote to draft plans for my ADU conversion and they got back immediately with a run down of all the services they offer. I emailed them the materials I had a they put together a quote for me within a few hours.
