Edwards Roofing operates as a family-run roofing company in Florida. Established in 1935 by Albert Edwards, the company carries a proud tradition. Thomas Edwards, Albert's son, came on board in 1937, opening their inaugural office in downtown Pensacola, Florida. In 1941, Albert took on the role of Escambia County Schools Superintendent, resulting in Thomas running the company until his death in 1944.

For a period of fifteen months, the company was run by non-family members before Raymond Edwards returned from World War II. He guided the company for the following forty years. At the time, the company consisted of five staff members, a single flatbed truck, and limited tools. The tools and equipment have evolved considerably over the years, the technology has progressed significantly, and the range of materials has expanded greatly. Despite these changes, the company has established itself as a leading commercial roofing contractor in the Gulf Coast region.

In the mid-1970s, Rick Edwards and his brother-in-law Bob Purdy joined the firm, carrying on the Edwards family legacy. Alongside their team of more than 50 skilled workers, they have steered the company into the 21st century.
