I recently replaced my roof with Edge Roofing. I did look at other roofing companies before finding Edge Roofing. Once I found Edge Roofing and William Young, I felt in good hands. He is very responsive, price competitive and the process was well coordinated, including the delivery of materials and the permit inspections.
Edge Roofing team were friendly, and worked quickly to remove the old roof and replace the new roof. There was no mess left behind and they were on time everyday.

My friend referred me to Edge Roofing since he was very happy with the job they did. I asked them for a roof inspection to rule out where the leak was occurring from my windows.
William quickly determined the issue being the windows not the roof.

We recently had our coastal home's roof replaced by Edge Roofing, and would highly recommend William Young and team.

A few highlights:

Quoting Process: I received 4 quotes / bids for the project. Edge's quote was not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but fair based on the quality of materials used / crew performing the installation. I felt the most comfortable and confident working w/William and team based on the transparency and detail of the quoting process. He uses high-quality materials, and stands by his + his crew's work.

Roofing Process: Scheduling was easy, we found a good gap in the weather and the crew was always on-time, and finished the work well within the estimated timeframe. Edge did not try to force the project-in, and was deliberate about ensuring no moisture would be present / affect the installation. The crew was friendly, professional, and thorough. They ensured the yard was totally clean, which means a lot because we have 3 dogs and wouldn't want them to be at risk of stepping on nails / debris. I saw them running large magnets multiple times to pick up nails and debris after tear-off AND installation of the new roof. No damage to plants, fences, etc.

Roof Quality: The roof appears to be of the highest quality. Edge installed additional venting to ensure the attic was up to modern standards, and repaired / replaced all flashing, edging, valleys, etc. William gave cost-effective ideas to clean up the existing cap on the chimney without needing a full replacement. No visible flaws on the work, no apparent leaks after the first 2 rains, and feel very confident that if a problem ever did come up William + crew would make it right.

Wrap-up: Very happy we went with William and Edge Roofing, and would recommend to friends and neighbors!

I had a persistent roof leak where my chimney meets the roof. I am handy, but my best effort and plenty of roofing compound (tar) did not solve the problem. William Young, Edge's owner, arrived as scheduled with a foreman who got up on my roof to assess. The plan we hatched right then sounded like the one I needed, no half measures. A new flashing, some replacement shingles. The weather was rainy, so it was a week or two before they were free from other jobs. We stayed in touch during this time. One no-rain day was all they needed to do the job. I went up there to look at it afterwards and it looked great. More rain was predicted. I bought a moisture meter and used it to assess dampness for two weeks after the work was performed. There was residual wetness to start, but the trend has been consistently toward dry, even with substantial new rain. There is no evidence of a leak now. As for the value of Edge's work, the total was the same as a competing quotation, but the nature of the repair plan seemed superior to me. William impressed me as forthright and conscientious. He did not contact me for payment for more than a week after the work was done, so I had a pretty good idea the repair was effective by that time. I would use Edge again, for sure.

I had called Edge Roofing to redo my entire roof which was about 2,900 sqft. They quoted a very fair price when every one was just quoting atleast $5-7k premium due to the rain storm this past winter. William was one of the most reasonable quotes that I had gotten. He was very responsive anytime I had a doubt and would either email or call me back within a couple of hours. He stuck to his word, and didn't add any unforeseen expenses after the job which is rare to find in Bay Area. Anytime you had a question, William would very respectfully explain and clear your doubts. He was very professional and stuck to the timeline that he committed. His crew was also very respectful. They cleared all the debris trash before they left everyday. They made sure there were no issues with the inspection. Quality of the work was great atleast from what I could tell. Time will tell the sturdiness of the roofing job but from Williams authentic nature and my optimal experience I have confidence in the work product.
I would recommend edge roofing to anyone who wants to get a good quality roofing job done at a reasonable price.

I found out the week after the work was done that the square footage of the roof that they quoted me was half the amount that they measured. I called the owner, William to tell him and at first he denied everything and the next day he called me and apologized and said he would send me a refund check of $1300 in the mail. That was six months ago. I have tried continually like texting him and calling him and leaving messages. He has told me once or twice when he has answered the phone that the check is in the mail. The check is never in the mail. This guy is super shady. I'm flooding social media and calling the Better Business Bureau.

I called Edge Roofing because I found them in my Diamond Certified booklet. I had a leak in my son's room and they came to check it out and opened up my attic door to attempt to go in the crawl space. They decided it would be better to come another day to bring someone who was ""smaller"" so they could better fit into the crawl space in the attic. My attic is very large and anyone, including a full grown man, can stand up and walk around easily in the attic. But I agreed to their plan and we made an appt for 2 days later, Saturday, between 8:30 and 9. They never showed up, nor did they call, leaving me with no one to attend to my leak because I had cancelled the other companies I had called since Edge said they would take care of the problem. I called several times that day but no one answered nor returned my calls. I left a message saying to please just let me now if they were indeed coming but it is now a week later and I have never heard from them. The next day after they were here originally, I went to the closet where the attic entrance is and noticed they id not even replace the cover of the entrance, so my attic was completely open to my master bedroom closet. I would not recommend this company as the least I expect is someone to call and let you know they don't plan to come to the appt that they made. They left me hanging during winter when if it rained again, I would have had more damage to the ceiling and carpet which I had already hired a water restoration company to come dry out in anticipation of the leak being fixed by Edge Roofing.
