Roofing job was not completed. The flashing was not installed around the roof edge so I have roofing material flapping in the wind. I have been told by Mark that the material is in and they will be over by the end of the week. The week goes by and no one shows up. I am not happy with their service.

Dishonest representative inspected my roof recommending $12,000 in repairs and almost caused us to loose a sale and a purchase in the process. When evaluated by another roofer, actual needs were about $1000. How do you live with your self fabricating work to make money or help an agent get a reduction in sale price. We paid for our roof installation 3 months ago... it was done and they punctured holes in our ceiling that I have been promised to be repaired and I have been reaching out to schedule our gutters that have been paid for and the ceiling repairs and no one answers the phone for days and when I do finally start to get communication ( finally had to go and send an email from their website) it's very rude and stops abruptly. I have had these guys do a few jobs for my clients and I don't know why my personal family home job is being treated so badly and unprofessionally!!! I really need to talk to the owner.... we paid almost $20,000 for a roof that the job is still not completed months later!!! I honestly don't know what else to do except to post here to get the owners attention to get communication to just get our job done that is all paid for!!!! I will be happy to share with the owner the texts/emails that I have received from his crew / staff.... frustrating!!! PLUS, there was so much leftover material which I took pictures of that I would like to know where that material is and why I didn't get a credit for it as they obviously hauled it off and used it somewhere else or returned to their supplier for a credit to them??? I am just incredibly disappointed in this company as I would have NEVER worked with or referred a company that treated their clients as my family and I have been treated....HELP?!?!?!?!?! I just want what was paid for done, repairs as promised to our ceiling and move on........

My neighbor across the street saw one of their guys look around and then proceed to take a piss on our roof. Real professional.

That should be all you need to know...They are like used car salesmen. They will LIE to you about when they'll come and then make up excuses like someone's finger got cut and they are in the hospital, so no one at all can come that day, what?? And then, the next day, one of their trucks will get impounded and again, no one at all can come. Pics or it didn't happen.

And, if you needed any more information to decide not to use them, they WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY that is covered under California law. They installed a roof with a design defect (without gutters) and caused major leaks and damage. They still wanted us to pay them to fix their mistake. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

called then on a Wednesday said they would come out next day 10 mins before the appointment called they said it was too windy too so they came on Friday he came up in his old ford ranger that sounded real bad said he might get a crew up to clover bare wood going to rain on Sunday said he would call i had to call then he said can't make it today maybe he could see if anybody wanted to work on Saturday he said he would call let me know now its Tuesday night haven't heard anything from then What do you expect when he drives a twenty-year-old truck that sounds like major exhaust leak don't call then they are a bunch of losers

This company is horrible. I scheduled the start date more than 3 months ago and they just finished, if it really is. They started late, after I called to see why the work wasn't started. The answer"" don't know why"" is what I got on multiple occasions. That was just the beginning.

I would not recommend/use this company ever.

They were supposed check/replace for damage to wood but when I asked about my rafter tails the worker said I can't replace those. But after some phone calls they did come and replace the rotten ends.
They didn't come and pick up the nails old until a few phone calls.
The sky lights were to be replaced and 3 months later they are installed.

There were too many phone calls and no one to be accountable. A lot of all I don't know why and it's not my faults.

I do not recommend El Cajon Roofing. Stay away.

My wife knew someone at this company so I let her negotiate for the purchase and installation of roofing tile on our new home. One of their representatives came out to estimate how many tile we needed. He also wanted to change torch down work I had already completed. I let the company estimate the tile and stock the roof. I decided to lay the roof myself because I did not want them to tear up work I had already completed and I disagreed with how they wanted to to the changes. They stocked the roof and I started to lay the roof. Their estimate left me with an extra 1,000 tiles. Anyone who has installed a concrete tile roof knows the worse thing to happen is to overstock a roof. 500 of the 1000 extra tiles were stocked on the roof. I had to keep moving those 500 tiles up the roof as I laid them. I eventually removed them when it became clear their were way too many tiles on the roof. I am so glad I did not have this company lay the roof tiles and change my torch down work. I can only imagine how terrible the work would have been based on the fact they can't even manage to estimate the amount tiles needed with any accuracy. They say I'm stuck with the extra tiles which cost me over $1,000. I've asked them for the contract they had with my wife, only to find out they didn't have a contract, which is in violation of the Contractor's license law. Stay away. Save yourself the grief and money.

I just had the pleasure of meeting Matt, the company president. Not only has it been pouring rain, and every roofing company I called was backlogged.. Matt and his team helped me get an appointment the very next day (I heard the guys taking out their calender's and trying to fit me in!). I had a leak in a roof, and was praying the rain did not blow our make shift tarp away during today's storm. Matt, made us a priority and came out exactly when he said he would. Fixed the roof in no time and charged me a far lower fee than he could have. The best way I can repay him is to tell people how awesome this company is! The rain started five minutes after he told me the job was done. Such a life saver, and I will be using El Cajon Roofing on any new jobs. Most companies will not repair roofs they have not originally installed, and Matt will repair any and all..he does not discriminate :) Thank you so for keeping us happy and dry!

What a great experience! The entire crew was professional and kept the job site tidy. They made quick work taking the old roof layers off and installing the new roof. The roof is beautiful. Well Done!

Everyone at El Cajon Roofing was wonderful to work with. From sales, scheduling and the workers themselves everything was taken care of! The workers were very easy to work with and we are extremely happy with our beautiful new roof.
