I had great experience with Arthur. Be sure to have him as your PM because he will try his best to get everything you want. Their price is competitive and flexible. Hope wood prices drops in the future!

Economy Roofing and Repairs did an excellent job on my roof. Arthur was responsive, professional, and passionate with his job to help people with their roofing and explaining options available for my roof. He was informative and explained the paperwork and the process of what was going to be done to my roof.

I got an attractive quote from Ivan. However, he was reluctant to provide detail on which material would be used as the base layer. After poking around a few times, it felt that he did not know the options available from Polyglass that can be used as the base layer. He mentioned I can talk to his boss to get that detail. When I tried to contact his boss, I got the message that that is wrong number. When I contacted Ivan, he said he gave me his office number but he is not sure what happened. He asked what do I need. I said I still need more information for the material for the base layer. He said he does not have time and he is very busy with other projects. I mentioned that an email or yelp response would be fine too. He said I can look that up myself.
I have gone through polyglass website more than once and I know there are many options for base layer. An installer has to specify which one would be used for the quote.
This is not the conversation I would expect from a Project Manager (Ivan) at the beginning of the project. This does not give me confidence in the work they would do. Hence the deduction of three stars. They get two stars for an attractive quote.

The good: Ivan was very respectful and communicative, easy to work with. The roof looks great. I thought the crew was respectful to the area as well.
The unsure: Was given a price after initial inspection, stating they could save me on costs by merging two jobs together. After roof was looked at from the attic, was told there was minor damage but nothing too bad. Nothing mentioned about planks being spaced too far apart.
Next day, after roof is ripped off a new guy (Greg) shows up and says my roofs planks are spaced too far apart and that the inspector will likely fail it. Gives several options, one being (free option) to let the inspector see it with the possibility of failure and then needing a structural engineer to draw up new plans (big costs) or pay an additional $8950 to install new plywood and ""sister rafters that require support"", this was after already having to have paid for the original roof demo. So, obviously not wanting to risk failing and needing a structural engineer to get involved, I paid the extra and lost whatever savings I thought I was getting.
Now, seeing as how I have no idea if that was neccessary, I won't knock their rating or call it ""the bad"", just something for others to consider.
The roof looks great, the crew was was good. Ivan was easy to communicate with, answered every text and call, and would reach out to me to let me know what was going on. I'm happy with the work Economy Roofing and Repairs did on my roof.
Will do another review if roof has issues or if warranty for workmanship and materials isn't upheld.

I wish that I could give them 0stars, my experience was a nightmare, this people removed all My roof and then at the end of the day ""they just noticed that all my plywood was supposedly rotten and rafter needed to be reinforced"". They offered to change the plywood and install ""sister"" rafters. So I thought well it shouldn't be that much more, little that I know, boom almost triple the price they initially quoted me. This was strange to me because I have been in the attic before and the wood looks good , additionally I had fumigated not to long ago. So I told them , I need a second opinion.
-- Initial contract 16k,
--Fix the plywood and rafter 39k, when plywood cost 50 dollars a piece. They are out of their minds!!
I pay for removal of the roof and fired them!
Then found another company that was honest change my roof for way less and guess what ?, the inspection passed with flying colors !! No plywood needed to be changed
Points to take into account with this company,
1. They will offer you a good deal saying that they are working close from your address and they can ""merge"" the job and make it faster and cheaper. LIE
2. Once your roof is all removed they will triple the price because ""it needs to be fixed"" LIE
3. They promise something that they won't deliver, Run and hire somebody else
The ONLY reason I am not taking them to Better business Bureau or the customer protection offices is because I Don't want to see them anymore

How can they say that the rafters were damage when they never went to the attic, and their assessment was all from outside with all the plywood in place?
The option that you say was ""0"" he told
Me was the inspector will come and fail you, then he will order to build a pony wall and you will need an structural engineer and would be around 50k ... that was the 0 option!
And btw I brought 2 roofers that went to the attic and actually saw the rafters, plywood and deck from The inside and outside.
Yes you call no pressure when you remove all the roof from a house when rain is coming In 2 days and THEN is when you tell them that they need to do extra work. Because I guess they were blind and didn't see ""the damage"" while they were tearing up the roof. Not honest at all
10 workers at the same time the space is not that big to it in a safe way.
I paid because I didn't want to continue with a company that was not honest with possible cost that can appear, they even said that they will remove all nails with a metal detector, that never happened.

I found Economy Roofing & Repairs very last minute, as I am a Real Estate Agent and needed some roofing work done for a house my Seller had in escrow. The previously scheduled roofers turned out to be neither licensed (license had been revoked), nor skilled, and suddenly we found ourselves in need of a reputable roofing company quickly!
Arthur came out within a couple of hours, gave us a quote, walked the seller and I through each step of what he had proposed as well as why he was proposing those methods. He told us we would get a 50-year warranty on the work and that the warranty is transferable to the new buyer. They could begin the work next day. He promised us they would finish in less than 4 days, and work through the weekend if needed. Indeed, they finished in 2 days! He also walked the Seller through what her rights were, under the state of California rules with roof repairs. Lots we didn't know, and lots the previous roofer was not planning to do (or had even violated, under the law). Thank you to Economy Roofing and Repairs. I will definitely be referring you to any and all future home Buyers and Sellers that I work with!

Brought in 5 companies to bid on home's roof shingles replacement and had great experience with Arthur (PM) and Adam (Operations). Arthur dedicated most time of five to discuss job and even brought me up on roof to show exactly what needed fixing and replacements. He also pointed out water damage in other wood beams i was not tracking. Although i selected a more expensive bid than the quote Economy Roofing offered (less than 2K difference) it came down to wire and i would not hesitate to recommend others on Yelp consider Economy Roofing on a roofing job.

We had Economy Roofing & Repair come out to do our roof and from the beginning they were very professional and did an amazing job. Greg and Ivan were very supportive and explained the entire process to us and always were available to answer our questions. The roof looks amazing!

So, I needed to get my roof repaired. I sent a message to Economy Roofing at 10pm, and Greg immediately replied back and scheduled a roof inspection appointment for the following day at 10am! Grege was indeed super quick and responsive. The inspector, Arthur, was awesome too. He showed up on time and did a through inspection of the roof and attic. In addition, he took the time to explain all technical details to me in a simple language. At the end, they sent me a detailed report including itemized repairs and roof pictures---all for free.

I put out a request for an estimate for roof repairs. Economy got back to me right away and was able to provide the estimate the same day. Thank you so much for your help.
