I would highly recommend Economy roofing. They did a great job at a great price on our new roof. We also had rain gutters installed and Atic insulation as well. There work crew did an outstanding job cleaning up each day during the whole process. They started the job on schedule and completed the work on time.

We passed the city inspection the first time around. I definitely recommend them and will be calling them soon for our ADU work.

I really wanted to recommend this company but too many weird mistakes occurred. First of all, Ramon and Art were easy to talk to and gave me details on what will happen. Art is usually responsive and easy to work with. However, it got a bit more difficult to communicate when his workers were busy and unreliable. Since I'm new to all this, I didn't really know what to look for and how to handle things.

First advice: Watch the workers to make sure roof wood are all replaced and just make sure the work is done correctly. I made the mistake of paying the remaining balance before fully inspecting the work because they said they can come back anytime if I find anything wrong. Instead I'll have another team handle the fixes after two weeks of no action from this company.

Since I don't want to go into details, I'll just outline my experience below.
- Needed a roof repair for the Patio and garage and possibly the main house. Also needed the facia and metal drip edge replaced.
- Roman Davis (Product Specialist) came by to measure and inspect the roof. Gave me an estimate and explained the roof shingles replacement process.
- Art Gaviola (Sales Manager) gave me the official Estimate/Proposal. I rejected the initial one that included the main house since it would cost about $15,000. Worried about the extra cost to replace the wood so I had Art come by to give me a better estimate with the wood included.
- Since they also install Alumawood Patios, I ended up choosing Alumawood over replacing parts of the wood and roofing on the original patio.
- New price estimate was $10k plus LED lights ended up being $10,700 Total.
- Ended up with three separate pairs of team. 1) Roofers 2) Facia Wood 3) Alumawood Patio Installers
- Replacing the roof took two days, first day focused on removing the old roof and replacing the wood. We had water damage and a hole in the garage.
- Third Day, they broke down the old Patio.
- That following Saturday, the Facia team showed up and were upset because they said that the facia should have been replaced FIRST before the roof shingles were replaced. That team left and came back the following Monday and had to worked with the new shingles installed. Now the metal drip edges are incorrectly installed because they had to replace the wood underneath it. Job was completed in a day. On the proposal, the wood was supposed to be primed, it wasn't.
- As for the Alumawood Patio, it took about three weeks until it was installed because of Covid-19.
- In the middle of waiting for it I noticed that the Facia wasn't properly installed in the front of the house. It should have a frame, instead the wood was not balanced and overlapping. I had Art bring the guys back. They came on a Friday and told me that it's a lot of work and asked if they can come back Monday instead. The problem? I scheduled another team to start priming and painting that weekend. So If they can't do it now, I said, I'll have the other team fix it. They decided to go ahead and fix it that day, it took a few hours. Not sure why they would delay it.
- Fastforward a few weeks later. The Alumawood Patio was being installed on a Friday. They got a lot of work completed but they needed more time. They came back Saturday to finish but they seemed to be in a hurry. The electrical guy seemed very annoyed at my requests to have separate switches for some of the patio lights. The switch and outlets were upside down. Silicone didn't quite fill the sides of the patio that attaches to the house (rain) and left parts of the patio dirty. The bigger issue was the fan installation. Since it was a smart fan, it had more wires than normal fans. First they tell me that it's too heavy and that I need to get a new ceiling fan from Home Depot and that ANY of those fans will work (but what if it's too heavy?) before I was about to leave for Home Depot, they were actually installing the fan I originally bought,. The weight wasn't the issue, it was because the electrical guy didn't know how to wire it. They also didn't attach the power so now I'm not even sure if the fan works properly (two weeks later)
- I've asked Art to have Eddie or anyone working on the patio to come by and fix the silicone and outlets but no one has showed up after promises that someone will.
- Also noticed that the wood in the garage roof didn't seem like it was replaced. (after paying extra for it). Art came by to check it out and tried to convince me that the roof is fine and to call them if we have issues. Well, I contact them and after two weeks, I'm having another team handle the job.
- I liked working with Art but if the multiple teams need to work better together and the Alumawood guys need to STOP RUSHING and just get the work done properly.

We hired Art and his crew to replace our old facia boards and they did a great job. The price was fair. They started the job within a couple of days. The job took two days for removal, paint, and replacing the new boards. Looks great! The crew was very professional and cleaned up well when they were finished.

I would like to say is Art and his son. We're so nice at first. My roof was done in august of 2019 and I have texted Art several times for the paper work of the warranty on my 14,000 cool roof he either response with bull shit or ignores.
I would never refer this company to anyone nor will I ever use them again.

I noticed what appeared to be a water stain on my second story ceiling after the last light rain we had and immediately researched roofing contractors for estimates. I reached out to Economy Roofing & Construction, and Art immediately answered the phone, answered my questions, and even indicated he could get out the same day to perform an estimate. I wasn't available so we scheduled for another day. He and his crew were on-time, friendly, and professional. They inspected my roof and determined that the problem had been caused by my solar installers (7 years ago) that had just patched tiles they broke during their installation with silicone instead of replacing them. He and his team had all of the materials readily available and gave us a fair estimate. We immediately approved it and they got to work. It was so nice to have the estimate and the repair done in the same day. I highly recommend them!

Great customer service! I was very pleased with Art's responsiveness to my request to come out and provide a quote for a home my husband and I were in escrow on. Art was very pleasant to deal with; he arrived early and was extremely professional. I was very happy with the actual quote to fix the roof and the promptness of receiving the quote. Unfortunately, our house deal fell through and we were unable to move forward with working with Economy Roofing and Construction but I will definitely be using them for future projects.
