Had them repair a roof leak. The repair did not take , we got leaks from the same area. Understand roofs/water can be tricky, so tried to get them to come back out to take a look. Had trouble getting a response from PM. He responded and set something up, then they never showed. After that they just stopped responding. Similar to a other review I saw for them, their prices are reasonable, but unhappy with quality and responsiveness.

Workers showed up, and I wasn't told, or they didn't show up at all, they were an hour early. Rarely ""on-time""
They used cheap labor, and the shower door had to be revisited 6 times (not kidding)
Patti and Obie were fine, but again, communication was NOT!
If you work, I definitely don't recommend their services.

As a Realtor I encountered an unexpected issue during the sale of my client's Condo in Mission Valley. An excessively high moisture reading was discovered in the ceiling above the shower during a home inspection. We were on a very short timeline and after a large portion of the ceiling & wall was cut open & damages repaired we needed a company to complete the drywall repair and painting to restore the condition to its original appearance, and all of this was over the 4th of July holiday. AFC (America's Finest City Flood & Fire) recommended Economico Construction to complete the drywall & painting portion of the job and they were not only professional, communicative and timely in their work but Oscar, the drywall contractor, even came back to work several hours on the 4th of July, since this was a 3 part job and we were scheduled to close escrow in just a few days. Obie, the company rep whom I dealt with stayed in good communication with me to make sure that the job was well done and on time! This was a great company to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone needing this type of repair, plus I will check with them in the future for other areas of construction work that might come up.

Remodel cost $21,150

I had given them the benefit of the doubt on too many occasions that until finally I was forced to submit complaint online to CA Contractors State License Board.

Remodel project initially was supposed to be completed on September 4, 2018 as stated in contract. Last 4-5 days before stated completion date, I was emailing them to document my concerns that it would not be done on time. Sure enough, it was not completed on time and to make matters more frustrating Obie (manager/contractor) did not even bother to show up as promised to walk through and review items not completed and those done poorly. (neglectful and inattentive)

Even once completed in October, I would subsequently come across previously unidentified issues. Most recent items, in March 2019, we found a slab of concrete that workers hid behind trees, instead of removing all demo. In late March 2019, I identified issues with flooring in one bedroom as they had not used underlayment when installing vinyl flooring even though I had purchased enough and had almost 2 full spare rolls leftover. Additionally, I found two entries listed on invoice that had never been requested by me. I sent them email communication on this which was never responded to, so I was forced to submit compliant with documentation to CA Contractors State License Board for assistance.

To give a fair review, if you want a remodel job and price is your sole factor, and not care about the potential for lapses in quality as their project manager will be inattentive and neglectful - rental property, perhaps - they may be the ones for you as they had lowest price. But as a property owner, unfortunately it has been frustrating and time consuming.

I write this review so others can make an informed decision based on price and quality.
