Very happy with everyone I've dealt with at Eastman Roofing. I'm no expert on roofing but I had a lot of trouble finding a company that would come out and just do the repairs on a flat roof to get it ready for a solar system. Eastman did a thorough inspection, provided me with photos of the problem areas and asked a very fair price for the work. There were a couple hiccups in scheduling the work but they did everything possible to accommodate my schedule and eventually had the crew do it on a Saturday, which was lucky for me because my solar install got moved up. They even sent someone out a week after the job was completed to inspect for quality, which was reassuring since I wouldn't know what to look for. Overall, everyone I dealt with at Eastman was professional and friendly and I look forward to calling them first in a few years when my roof needs a new acrylic coating.

I've used them 3 times in the last 10 years (as we own an older house). The latest time was after our last storm, to fix a leak I had for a while but just didn't get around to having it fixed. The previous times I didn't have time to call other roofing company to compare prices and even though I was always happy with the work that Eastman has done, Ive always wondered what their pricing were in comparison to others. This time I did have another company come for a second estimate, and Eastman was very competitive. So it was a no brainier for me as I already knew how good their work was and how helpful their whole staff were. From the inspector (Dave who happen to be the same person we had the previous times, very knowledgeable, thorough, and easy to talk to) to the scheduling person, the actual workers (on time and efficient), billing and overall phone customer service all A+. In addition I really like how they handled the paperwork electronically. Very easy and convenient. As with the previous work we are completely happy (tho we haven't tested the new repair as we hadn't had any rain but if it's consistent with their previous work, I'm not worried). I didn't think they could possibly improve their service but out of the blue I got an email today with pictures attached documenting the repairs they did, to quote Bill Walton --- ""HOW AWSOME IS THAT!"" No hesitation in my part to recommend Eastman! - sorry for the long winded review but sometimes the really good business do not get the reviews they deserve.

Vickers Concrete Sawing, Inc. has used Eastman Roofing for the last couple of years to make repairs on our roof. I called several companies initially and Eastman was the only one that got back to me and followed through with an estimate. Ramon came out and estimated the job, he was very nice and prompt on the appointment. Charles and Francisco fixed our roof and cleaned it up too. They have great customer service. I have always received a prompt reply to my emails. Excellent job!!! I would highly recommend Eastman Roofing.

After contacting several roofing companies to have 2 roof vents installed for bathrooms I came across Eastman Roofing. What I liked about Jim was that even though my job wasn't huge like a new roof it didn't matter to him. He was happy to take on my business and get me scheduled quickly. With all the other companies I spoke to and left messages I either didn't her back or they didn't want to do the job. I am very pleased with their quality of work and my interactions with Eastman Roofing. I am in need of replacing my roof in the next 2 years and I definitely plan to do business again with Jim.

Eastman roofing is one darn good roofing company. They have excellent staff. Their estimators, inspectors, project managers, installers, everyone of them is professional, very courteous, patient and good in what they do.

When we bought our house we knew existing tar and gravel roof needed immediate attention. Our roof is 1/3 flat and 2/3 is pitched. We wanted to repair and get by a few years so we could do the whole roof as part of a major remodel a few years out. But replacement was an option for 2 reasons. First, we didn't like looks of a tar and gravel roof so wanted to change to singles and second, if the cost was OK it will give me some peace of mind. So we contacted 6-7 roofers for estimates to repair and also replace. 1-2 didn't show any interest, 3 provided quotes to replace only and one for repair only. Since the business is good right now (Fall of 2014) in silicon valley most of them wanted to only take big jobs of roof replacement. They wanted to give quote and move one. There was hardly a roofer who would take the time to explain.

Kevin Sullivan from Eastman Roofing came for an estimate and gave me 2 very very detailed quotes to repair and replace as I wanted. Everything was accounted for in the estimate including visible dry rot. I did expect some more dry rot work after roof was opened. He is such a gentleman and so polite. He actually came three times to the house and answered all my questions. He brought home shingle samples, FiberTite material samples and tons of literature so I knew what they are going to put on the house. With all my questions answered we decided to replace roof with CertainTeed shingles on pitched section and FibreTite material on flat section.

Kevin Sullivan is actually the reason we went with Eastman Roofing and deserves all the credit for my business.

The project manager Victor called out and gave me a start date and scheduled a pre-construction meeting with Charles, the installer, 2 days before project started to go over all details and make sure we were on same page. Project was estimated to last 1 week plus time for additional dry rot work. As I expected after the tear-off more dry rot work was found which I authorized to fix. Charles and his assistant were excellent and very skilled in their craft. They were very polite and answered all my questions patiently. All work including additional dry rot work was finished in 1 week. City inspection were done on time and I received the signed permit in mail from Eastman. Eastman provided all invoices as in estimate and everything went so smooth.

A week later as a test, it rained pretty heavy and I was glad to not see a leak.

In the end I was delighted I went with Eastman roofing. We are very very happy with their service.

Terrible customer service. The inspector that came out was extremely rude and impatient. Had a terrible attitude, and did not want to provide helpful assistance. He said that the roof was old and that was understood before hand, but his general tone was unhelpful.

He said he would make the repairs to the best of their ability, but after completion water drops were still coming into the house and he said that was ""normal"". When asked if there was anything else they could do to assist me, he got emotional and sarcastic. When told I was going to want to speak to a manager regarding my issues he fired back ""I run things around here"".

The repair man did not come on the scheduled day, and when they were supposed to come they just didn't show up and didn't even call to let me know after I had taken the day off work.

Awful experience overall. I highly recommend getting quotes from somewhere else.

I have a flat top roof with a special coating that I was told originally would need to be resurfaced every 5 years. I did a little research on my own and it looked like this roof can normally be OK up to ten years. However, I have almost nine years on the roof so it was time for an inspection. I called Eastman Roofing and Tony came out and inspected my roof. He told me that I could go at least two years more with my existing roof. There was one little spot I had noticed that did need repair and Tony confirmed my plan to make the tiny repair myself. This is exactly the way all companies should conduct their business. You can be assured that two years from now I am going to call Eastman again because looking out for their customers is their number one concern.

We had been in the market for a new roof for some time now. We selected 6 different companies, primarily from Yelp reviews. Of those, 5 responded and came out to give us a quote. Kevin from Eastman Roofing was probably the 4th to come out to take a look at the project. He took photos, measurements and then made an appointment at a later date to quote the project. In the meantime, I had pricing from some other companies which gave me an idea as to what I would be looking at in terms of total cost.

When Kevin came back, he detailed all aspects of the project during his presentation. I found it be very informative as I reflected on what some of the other companies mentioned, or failed to mention. It helped me to narrow down some of the choices that I had chosen to review.

Ultimately, we ended up going with a different company to do the job. However, I thought that Kevin gave me some tools to help me make that selection. The pricing was just out of my range, but I know that the end result would have been worth it. He said that he could have made some modifications to meet my budget which was a possibility. However, he said that if it was something that was a necessity, and we wanted to cut it out, then he said his company wouldn't do the job. Meaning that his company did not want to cut corners just to take a job. I felt that was an honest answer and his company stood by crafting a quality project.

Thank you for taking the time to come out to my home. I believe that this company would be a fine choice for anyone who is looking for a quality product.

I've used Eastman three times now; for our home purchase roof inspection, repair along the way, and presale easement repairs. These guys were recommended by my realtor. The initial inspection turned up some items that I honestly forgot about, until we started having issues during our second winter in the house. I looked back at the report an sure enough they said I'd have issues right where I was having them. They came out and fixed us up. We didn't have another issue and the eventual buyers inspectors didn't turn up any issues.

I had them fix some easements this fall when we sold the house. A cursory termite inspection turned up some easement damage. Rather than have the termite guy fix it, I called Eastman because I knew they would make sure the roof stayed water tight. The termite guy explicitly stated that they don't guarantee the roof in easement work.

They weren't cheap, but in the cases of roofs I need it done right quickly the first time. The fit the bill.

I have been using Eastman for 9+ years. I am a Bay Area Realtor and need roof inspections and repairs all the time. They always arrive on time and provide a very thorough inspection. They do great work and they stand behind there work.
