They had Victor come over to inspect our roof. Followed by a proposal/estimate. The repair work was done in a timely fashion. They also came out a month later, as we noticed a problem, and inspected our roof again.

We have used Eastman to solve leak problems and repair broken tiles from a solar installation. Both times this summer the estimate effort was terrific. All pictures and details helped us decide what needed to be done and the total cost. While the cost appeared a little high, the workmanship and attention to detail made that worth the slightly higher cost.

Everything was well done and the photo's of the final work gave us the confidence in the repairs. The office staff and follow up from the owners were impressive. We will continue to use and recommend Eastman to neighbors and friends.

Eastman did the inspection for the roof on a house I bought, and then after escrow closed, I called them to make the minor repairs they suggested. They were very easy to work with, and they were able to schedule the work quickly. They seem very customer-service oriented and even called me a few days later to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I'm probably going to be replacing my roof in a few years and will be giving them a call then.

We had Eastman give us a bid on our roof. It had already been looked at by another company during the purchasing process. Our roof was in pretty good shape, on a few cracked tiles that needed attention. The original company who inspected the roof, didn't even go onto the roof!

Eastman came out and gave an inspection and bid and yes, they got onto our roof. The bid came in much higher (25%) than the original inspection, but we decided to go with them because they took the time to really inspect the roof, and took photos of the areas that needed attention and pointed them all out.

They were easily scheduled and sent followed up photos of the areas repaired.

Two days after the repair was done, I got a call to follow up with me and see if I was happy.

A week after the fix, they sent another person out to climb our roof again and check that everything looked good. Checking up on their technicians! They also added us to their reminder list for 5 years to check up on our roof. I like the follow up!

It seemed a bit nuts to go with a company that was so much more expensive, but we felt that they really did an inspection and were giving us a honest thought of our roof. We just couldn't trust that 1st company that anything would get fixed as they never even went on the roof!

I only gave them 4 stars as it was expensive.

The last thing you expect to hear from a roofing co. is, ""you don't need a new roof !"" That's how I learned about the necessity of roof MAINTENANCE!! and why I swear by the Eastman Roofing & Waterproofing Co.! Dealing with a roof leak for the first time on the 19th year of a 25-yr. roof turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to this homeowner. I now know why my self-made master-builder neighbor recommended this co. and why I, in turn, recommended them to another neighbor who needed repairs and to my sister, who did need a new roof and who, in turn recommended them to an acquaintance who also needed a new roof.

Their professionalism, quality-control, customer service are next-to-none! And the result is 200% customer satisfaction, which is why I pleasantly await the moment when I do indeed need a new roof--I've already chosen my roofer!

Oh! did I mention the pre & post photos of the problems they find and then repair? How many homeowners do you know who actually climb on their roof routinely?

I had a great repair job done to my old wood shake roof of 26 yrs. everyone that I got quotes from, wanted to sell me a new roof. Eastman said, Just need a ""tune up"" roof will last another 7 to 10 years! well that was the best news I got that day. Excellent job and excellent service. The owner called a week later to make sure I was satisfied with the job, and he was sending out an inspector to make sure everything was done. highly recommend this company!!!!

In response to the owner's comment: I apologize I didn't get a chance to email or call you back when you contacted us. You are correct that we had no known leaks at the time of your inspection- but we wanted an overall estimate of the quality of our roof - which the other roofers were quickly able to pinpoint in terms of past poor repair jobs and weak areas flapping in the wind that needed to be repaired (yes made worse by the weather resulting in the leaks). These conditions were already present prior to the poor weather according to the two roofers that checked it out - but yes was exasperated by the winds/rains. I just feel like the inspection was as thorough as it could have been and telling us the roof was in fine shape with 5-10 years left on it was inaccurate. Since the inspection was indeed two months prior to the leak I will add another star on since it's not very fair to indicate such a low rating when we had no actual work done by you.

We used Eastman twice, the last time in 2011. I waited to write this review to see how the winter went. It finally rained enough for us to see that our leaks were fixed and the new area we had surfaced was still in very good shape.

Both times we had bids from at least 1 other company. Eastman was the only company that offered to fix our problems without a complete re-roof. They were very clear what the tradeoffs were (how long a quick fix would last against a re-roof). We went with the quick fix because that was what we were looking for. Dave, the project manager was very helpful and professional, and the team that did the work was very good and neat. The price was reasonable.The work has held up and we have had no problems.

Most overpriced roofing company around.

Five years ago I got 3 quotes from 3 highly rated companies from DiamondCertified.com and the BBB.com.

I cannot speak to the quality of workmanship because the quote I received from Eastman Roofing was 36% higher than anyone else.

The quote I received from Eastman Roofing was 6 thousand dollars more expensive than the 2nd highest bid and 7 thousand dollars from the lowest bidder. I contacted the owner as a courtesy and notified him that I was going with the 2 highest bidder and asked if he would come down in price. I never heard back from him.

They may or may not do good work, but they will NEVER touch my roof at these prices and I guess I am lucky that I did not select them according to other Yelp reviews.

Our house was found a little termite in one of the corners so to avoid any leaking, notice: we ~~~DIDN'T~~~ have any leaking at first place, we called to have that repaired.

Eastman repaired our house, in the summer of 2010, then in the winter, the house started to ~~~LEAK~~~, badly like flood on the floor.

I called them, they came to inspect, and told us: it had nothing to do with where they fixed our house, but some other ~~~NEW~~~ problem.

I went to surf web right away, tried to find other people's comments, and I did find EXACTLY similar experience with us: that the 2nd leaking was ""NEW"", and had nothing to do with their 1st job.

Eastman offered to fix our 2nd problem for $1400 while it cost us $1600+ for the 1st one.

We were unlucky, we got offer from another company for $500 for the 1st problem before Eastman, but somehow they were not able to come to help us, we had to choose Eastman, expected it would worth it's 4 stars on yelp. ~~~ NO NO~~~, not at all. If I ever read those 1 star before we used Eastman.... Sigh...

We tried again to contact our 1st roofing company, they came, and fixed the 2nd problem with $600 (Notice, Eastman quoted $1400).

At last, to avoid dealing with any leaking problem, we had our roof re-roofed. And we used our 1st roofing company which gave us a good price.

It's been 1+ year now, everything went on well.

One more thing I want to add: The owner has ~~~EXTREMELY BAD~~~ attitude. He kept talking on the phone of how good his service was ~~~WITHOUT~~~ giving me any chance to talk.
