I can't say enough about John Wescott of East County Roofing. My home is large, two story, custom design, diverse dimensions roofing. A very difficult one to work on. John came, carefully measured and appraised the cost of a total new roof, the old one was thirty years old, gave me a very reasonable estimate, and kept to that estimate when finished. Even though he added miscellaneous items needed as he went along. He worked in the heat of East County, including Saturday and Sunday (concerned because it might rain some, and it did Sunday) and passed inspection satisfactorily. In my home, when he had finished, he received three customer call requesting service. He is a hard worker, hands on, honest, very personable, and does a professional job, always arriving with crew on time. And I can recommend him without reservations. Five stars guy.

John with East County Roofing was our third estimate for upgrades to our concrete tile roof to accommodate solar panels. John's estimate was lower than the others and his recommendations were very logical, made good common sense. He was straight forward and honest, saving us several thousand dollars in unnecessary tile replacement by applying the old rule of ""If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"". His team completely removed all original concrete roof tiles, including several damaged tiles, replaced the underlay with a newer updated and heavier underlay and then was able to find replacement tiles that closely matched the ones that needed replacing. He also included 2 solar vent turbines with his work and we were very pleased with the outcome! We did have some minor ""bumps"" and issues with labor during the process but nobody's perfect, when John was made aware of any issues, he promptly took care of them and we would definitely call on East County Roofing for any future roofing issues or repairs! We came to like and appreciate John's honesty and overall judge him as a ""good person""!

I called this company during a rain storm on a Saturday. I fully expected to get a voicemail like all of the other roofers that I had called prior concerning my actively leaking roof. Not just a little leak either, you know, the kind that floods your whole living room carpet and drywall (Fun Stuff). To my surprise John answered and actually came out later that day to take a look at my roof. He didn't have all of the stuff necessary to fix my roof that day,which I didn't expect him to, but said that he would definitely be able to do it within the next few days. Every other roofer was giving me the 2-3 weeks speech, so I though a few days was pretty darn good. He contacted me shortly after he left and said that if I was willing he would come back Sunday morning(the following day) to make the necessary repairs. Totally unexpected, but very much appreciated. I would happily recommend them to anyone who needs a good roofer. On a side note, they didn't gouge me on pricing either, even though the repair was completed on a Sunday. Thanks guys!

They also did a co-workers roof after I referred them and now the only complaint I hear from people is that the voicemail is full! Thats how it goes when you do good work though, you get busy... especially when its raining! Thank you guys for a job well done.

I can highly recommend John Wescott from East County Roofing. I called him yesterday and he was able to come over today (a Saturday on a Holiday weekend) to look at a leak in my roof. He was courteous, prompt, and efficient. He went up on the roof, diagnosed the problem and fixed it on the spot. I had been trying for months to get a roofer over and they all thought the job was too small. John was referred to me by my sprinkler repair/tree trimmer and I couldn't be happier!

East County roofing did a good job once John got involved with it. They were supposed to show up on Monday but they had to finish up some jobs and would be Wednesday before they could start. Understandable. Wednesday one employee came out and started to tear off the flashing so the re-roof could start the next day. He left at noon and his tools were still on the roof. He came back at 3:00 picked up the tools and left with no word to me. I called John Wescott and he said that he would have 2 roofers out Thursday. The 2 roofers showed up about 8:00 and only worked until noon because one of them had a dentist appointment. They came out in one truck so the other couldn't stay and work the rest of the day. After I called John again he and 3 of his people came out on Friday and finished the roof. It rained that weekend and John came out on Sunday and patched a small leak we had and it has been fine ever since. The roof doesn't leak, it looks good, and the price was reasonable. I would recommend them because of the quality of the materials used, but have reservations about some of his employees. Once they finally started in earnest they did a good job.

First off, I would like to thank John Wescott (619) 654-1305 and his crew for all their hard work during the process of a complete tear off and replacement of my roof last week (right in time before the boogieman ""El Nino"" arrives). Everyone did an outstanding job, were attentive and I could not be more thrilled with the results of all their efforts. I am happy to highly recommend them to anyone who is searching for an honest roofing contractor who knows the business of roofing and takes pride in their work. In addition to the GAF Timberline Ultra HD composite shingles (Birchwood), I had two GAF low profile vents and a GAF dual-powered solar attic fan installed for ventilation which should help my A/C not work so hard and provide a totally different experience this coming summer of 2016. Like Alexia B., I bid out my roof to more than several different roofing contractors and ""East County Roofing"" had the best price by a couple thousand of dollars. It was such a pleasure to have them working on my roof I was sorry to see them go! Can't say that about too many men with power-tools...hahaha! Seriously, if anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me as a reference for their services.
