My mother had a roof leak and needed a new roof. We had used Earl Johnston years ago for minor repairs when we moved into our house. We got a couple of estimates and Earl Johnston was in the middle. I liked the warranty that the manufacturer offered and having used them in the past made it an easy decision. They have a pamphlet you can look at to select the color of shingles that you would like, in addition to giving you some addresses where they've installed the color so that you can see the color on a house to get a better idea of what it would look like.

There was a long delay before the new roof was installed, through no fault of Earl Johnston. The delay was with the city approving the permit. Once the permit was approved, everything went quickly and the new roof was installed within the week.

They had a demo crew & installation crew who were good about keeping you informed of what they were going to do. They took TONS of pictures during demo showing you how the tar paper was placed and rotten wood that was being replaced.

They covered the lawn with some type of covering so that pretty much all of the debris fell on that rather than all over my mother's yard. They even cleaned up after themselves after the job was done!

I'm glad that I don't have to worry about my mother having another roof leak and am very happy with the work that was done.

Couldn't be happier with our new roof from Earl W. Johnston Roofing. Our sleek new metal roof is absolutely gorgeous and practical for S. Florida hurricanes and insane insurance prices. Everyone at Earl Johnston was professional, efficient and there were no games. I was also extremely impressed with how well they cleaned up around the outside of the house at the end of each day. I scheduled a roof repair with this company and Mike was punctual and answered all my questions. The repair was the same because they arrived on time and took photos of what they found and the repair process. They didn't leave any waste on the grounds. The payment plan was easy. I would only add to include the survey after the photos are given to the client. I highly recommend this company and will save them for the future. This company truly knows how to deliver a good service.

I have reviewed Earl Johnston roofing company before but it's time for an update as it has been a while, and I have had more work done. The struggle with roofs is real in Florida, and I have the worst- a connected townhouse with two flat roofs and a shingled roof. I just had work done, and I cannot recommend this family owned company more highly. Earl and his employees are honest, come when needed, when they say they will, on time, and are the most professional knowledgeable roofers around. When they do work, they honor their warranty and go above and beyond to make sure my roof does not leak. The owner of the company- Earl Johnston has personally come out to look at a complicated leak I have.
Moreover, they will not tell you that you need a whole new roof if you don't need one.
Having a roofer you can trust in South Florida is like having a doctor you can trust. Seriously.
If you have a leak, and who doesn't, call them!

NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FROM DAY 1.... I would avoid this company like the coronavirus.... They are very good making the sale but after that forget about it.....I have had a leak from day 1 they have come out to do the repair can't even count how many times. NOW for the latest they will come out but charge 1800 and ONLY give a 1 year warranty on the workmanship. If that doesn't tell you how poor the quality of work you are getting is I don't know what will. It is no wonder they only have a 3 star rating I would recommend anybody else..!!!!!!!!!!!!

A top-notch professional company. Called on Friday, gave us a very fair estimate, scheduled for Monday. Showed up on time, completed the work as agreed, took images of every step of the way to document their progress. The work was completed with no issues and very satisfied. Thanks, Casey!

This company is amazing! From the first meeting with Mr Barrett to the end the service was outstanding. I was so happy to find such an amazing bussiness to work with. In Miami is very difficult to find a reliable, honest, knowledgeable and professional company but Earl Johnston is all that and more. I recommend them to everyone! They were not the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either. They explained me in detail what could I expect and the job was done in almost no time. Before hire them I saw roofs around my neighborhood waiting for tiles for months but not in my case, they were so organized that my new roof was complete in no time.
The brought a large crew for demolition which left my house looking like nothing happened. Every questions along the way were answer. I'm so happy that I choose to go with Earl Johnston!

Do not do business with this company! They gave us a $1500 estimate for a flat roof repair and performed the job knowing that the roof was beyond repair. Then, they told us that the roof needed to be immediately replaced. When I asked them why we were not told that to begin with...there was silence.

How can a reputable sales rep give you a quote knowing that you are wasting your money in an unrepairable roof? The damage was easily ascertainable by a competent professional, but AJ is not one of those. This was not a case of concealed damage, you could see the damage by just pulling a corner of the rubber lining. Then AJ wanted another $1000 to glue down the rubber corners knowing that the flat roof couldn't be saved. The installer, Tony, is very knowledgeable but they overcharge for everything and their estimates are not credible.

To begin with, $1500 for patching a small hole (they replaced a small 2'x4' section in two hours) is way too much. We tried to settle this with Walter and he said: NO, WE PERFORMED THE JOB DESCRIBED ON THE CONTRACT, YOU OWE US THE $1500"". What a way to do business! On top of the $5000 paid for two repairs, we were considering contracting with them the replacement of the flat roof- forget that!

Earl W. Johnson Roofing has performed two roof repairs for me in the last 6 years. Both jobs were done quickly, on time, and professionally. Their staff are uniformly expert and friendly - for our recent job, the estimator AJ and the servicemen who did the work, Duane and Oliver, could not have been better. My only criticism is that following the most recent work, I never received an explanation of what was found during the repair.
