I have been trying to get an estimate for a total roof replacement since August 28 and nobody has called me for an appointment. Now, I can't even talk to a person because you can only leave messages. I was referred to this company by a friend, but they have terrible customer service and I will get a quote another company.

They put on my flatroof 7 years ago. Now I have a leak. They'll come out and quote but no discount for their customers, they charge full load even though they said they roof was good for 20 years. So I called 2 other roofers who both quoted $1000 to repair the leak (thanks Earl!) and they both said the same thing: CRAPPY JOB! Never again

They never answered my calls or even request for an estimate on the Yelp site. Hopefully this means they have tons of business and don't need business. When a business won't follow up on a self-referred sales lead that isn't a good sign. What happens if you use them and have a problem?

At the time I requested a quote, yelp messaging had to be enabled otherwise you wouldn't have been listed. In any case I hope you didn't respond because you very busy. I can't comment on the quality of their work, only there response for estimates.

I find it very interesting that this company gets either ones or fives. I guess if you use them you have a chance of a really good experience or really bad one. Good luck!!

Sad that I couldn't even confirm an appointment to get an estimate with them. Called on Tuesday and the lady said, ""We are booked for August, but someone will call you today to schedule an estimate"". No one called. So I called back and left a message on Wednesday. No call returned. So I called on Thursday, and she said ""We are booked for all of August and September and I don't have anyone to send out to you to do an estimate"". Well, if you're turning away customers, you must not need any clients!

I called them on Thursday for a leak. Mike came on Friday, gave me the estimate on the spot. They scheduled for Monday and the repair was completed on time and within the estimated time frame. Awesome, every time.

Great company to work with. We are selling our house and had a small issue with missing shingles. I called and spoke with Lucy who was able to set me up to have someone come to my house the same day. Mario came buy to give me an estimate which was very fair. When I asked him when he or someone would be able to come by to fix the problem he told me that he would be able to come by later in the day. I was thrilled. Sure enough he came by and fixed the shingle issue as well as some other problems that he found during his inspection. He had everything finished in around an hour. This is the third time we have used Earl W Johnson roofing. The last time we used them was to replace our entire roof. Great company.

We have been very pleased with Earl Johnston Roofing. They didn't give us the least expensive estimate but they did provide the most sound plan for resolving long term leak problems around our chimney. We had the roof replaced on our 3300 sq ft house in 2013. Timelines were met and the job site was kept as clean as possible. We had a delay with skylights not being delivered when promised but lines of communication were kept open. We passed each inspection the first time. Today we had our roof cleaned with roof-a-cide. The guys showed up as scheduled and made quick work of cleaning the roof.

Roof repair in 04/14. Repair is leaking 10/15. Was told that they do not guarantee repairs after 12 months. So another $1000.00 to repair roof that was ""repaired"" in April. No thanks. Using Lyons Roofing, they are more expensive but you get what you pay for. Lyons offers a 24 month guarantee on all repairs. Don't use this company!!!

It's pretty obvious that the previous 2 reviews were written by the same person, or a couple, who didn't deal directly with the company to buy the roof in the first place. He should be calling the manufacturer or getting in touch with the relator/seller to gripe. The warranty comes from the manufacturer - not the roofer.

That being said, I had my roof done in May of 2014 by this company and am delighted. Mike Wilde gave me a competitive bid, even matching a lower bid, and was very thoughtful in answering the tons of questions I had about how to make my insurance company happy with the outcome. I had the roof turbines replaced with a ridge vent, paid extra for the secondary water barrier (which saves me about $500 a year on the insurance) and got the Timberline Prestique HD shingles with the transferable warranty (saving the all-important warranty papers to share when I sell the house!). They use different crews for each phase of the job, which is okay for specialization of work, but I would have preferred to see the same faces. That's my only complaint. They attended to every detail just as they said they would, and I'm saving at least a grand per year on my insurance costs. The lawn was cleaned of debris, which was a real bonus for my active pets. They covered the plants and were very respectful of one which is an endangered tree species. They handled all the permitting and provided copies of all the paperwork along the way. There is an additional upcharge for using a credit card, which I didn't know was fairly common among the trades. My South-Dade little house is less espensive to cool now and looks terrific. When another hurricane comes, I don't have to worry about capping the turbines or the shingles flying off or my roof leaking. Johnston Roofing delivered a quality product which has given me only positive results. No wonder they have been in business for so many years. I recommend them without reservation.

The worst company ever!!!!! I just buy a house and after few days, I had several leaks. I called Earl W Johnson Roofing Inc and they told me the warranty is not transferable( it's not true, if you check the policy is within 30 days after the closing and I was in time), after they needed the transfer was done by the previous owner, but finally they needed the do a inspection of the roof and to pay some fees.... All the excuses possible they used to not transfer the warranty. So if you don't have time to waste and you love your house, please find a other company than Earl W Johnston Roofing for your roof.
