First off, what medical school did Dr. Homes attend to receive his post-doctoral degree in construction?
Was it someplace where they allow you to turn-in your assignments a week late? Because that's how long it took to get an estimate on my house!
I'm beginning to suspect that these people may not even have legitimate medical degrees.

We had Dr. Homes replace the shower in our master bath when we moved in our home a little over a year ago. To this day, we love our shower! It was exactly what we wanted. Dr. Homes and his team went above an beyond to make sure our needs were met and accomplished our remodel in the timeframe that was promised! Their work is impeccable, their attention to detail, above the rest! We love our shower and can't wait to work with him and his team on our next remodel. Thanks, Dr. Homes!

Mike is very professional, detail-oriented and overall an expert at what he does. He is the handy man that never gives up. The doctor diagnosed and treated the problems of a condo that was built in the 1970s. It was about time to do a little renovation. The wiring in this place was a fire hazard. The doctor came in determined to figure out the mystery of the flickering lights. Luckily, with his excellent troubleshooting skills, he was able to find the ghost in the circuitry. Who are you going to call? Dr Homes!
He managed to finish a copious amount of work in a timely fashion. He tackled and executed work with the help of one other well trained worker. It was a successful victory and I highly RECOMMEND him. He does quality work and charges at a reasonable price. Trust me, I know quality. My father is a handyman (a.k.a ""Handy Andy"") and I know quality when I see it!
The jobs he did for the condo:
-Replaced the exhaust fan
-Repainted the whole bathroom
-Fixed electrical outlets
-Troubleshoot and successfully fix electrical issues
-Replaced and fixed the plumbing
-Removed and replaced dry wall
-Removed and replaced dimmer switches
-Bathroom re-innovated

I was so hopeful. My handyman of the past 10 years retired which left me in a desperate search for a replacement. Upon contacting Dr. Homes, it took only a few days to have him come out and review the work I needed to have done. (so far a good sign) I had two small jobs, two medium, and one large job. He came out on 2/6. After sending two emails looking for my estimate, I received it on 2/25. (not such a good sign in my book, 19 days to get an estimate). Total cost of my 5 jobs over $12,000.00. I only had to review the estimate of the first small job to realize this man was WAY out of line with his pricing.
To replace two fluorescent strip lights in my garage......$406.67!!!
Breakdown from actual estimate....
Electrical Labor & Material
Install 1 - Shop Light 4 ft. 2 Light T8 Strip Fluorescent. 2 x 135.00 = 270.00
T8 Fluorescent Strip Light. 2 x 43.59 = 87.18
T8 32-Watt 4 ft. Linear Fluorescent Light Bulb (2-Pack) 2 x 14.89 = 29.78
Wire Connectors # 8 1 x 13.84 = 13.84
Electrical Tape - Extreme Temperature 1 x 5.87 x 5.87
(also notice I needed 2 lights installed - labor cost is to install 1???)
I don't even know what to say!! $135 an hour for labor - WHAT! A whole roll of electrical tape? Do I get to keep the rest of the 55 feet of the roll he didn't use - assuming he would have used 10 feet of tape for the two lights!! Ok - I digress, I guess I am just ranting now. I HATE being taken advantage of and I can only assume from this ridiculous estimate that that is what was happening here.
Buyer beware!!

I first called Dr Home to get an over the phone rough estimate to remove a concrete slab in my back yard. This small project came up suddenly and I needed it done quickly. I told them it was roughly 5'x5' and got a quote right away. Later at night I got the real measurements (which were more like 7.5'x7.5') and called them the next day in the morning to get a more accurate quote. I was told they would email me the quote by the end of the day.
Almost two days later I still have not received the second quote. They had all my info on file from the first quote. I did have a lengthy email so there could have been a miscommunication on how I spelled out my email. I will give them the benefit of the doubt but I still had to go with a different company to get the slab removed today.
I still have other projects around the house which I might call Dr Home to get quotes from. I will give them another shot. Please don't let me down!

I had asked Dr. Homes to give me an estimate for removing a kitchen sink and garbage disposal and installing new ones, along with a new faucet and replacing a few tiles around the sink. I had already bought the new sink, faucet, air gap, disposal, and grout, so Dr. Homes didn't need to purchase any supplies for this job. I had this same procedure done last year (except for replacing the disposal and the cost was around $100 (I have the cancelled check for the job) and the job took about an hour. The job was completely satisfactory. The only reason another new sink needs to be installed is so it will match my new stainless steel appliances. Today I got Dr. Homes estimate for the job and it came to over $1,700, which included over five hours of labor charges. This estimate is outrageous. Needless to say, Dr. Homes won't be doing any work for me.

I had Dr Homes do a roof repair for a leak on my home but after the $626.80 repair, instead of fixing the problem, it was actually much worse with the very next rain.
After that, I had a roofing professional look at it and he said what Dr Homes had recommended and had done was not appropriate at all. The mastic mess applied to my roof had to be ripped out and reshingled. After a roofing professional worked on it, it is now leak-free. Money down the drain spent on this contractor's solution and work.

MIke arrived on time. He was straightforward and did not try to ""over-sell"" us, as some other companies had done. Our leak was a serious one and was a difficult one to find, but he found it, fixed it, and cleaned everything up - he did everything when and where he said he would, and he kept us informed as to the progress of the repair. There were no surprises. I would call him again, if needed. I would recommend him to a neighbor.

Mike just left our house after fixing a gash in our roof. He explained the exact process and fixed it within 20 minutes. I called around lunchtime and he came at dinnertime before, so very fast response time which is extremely helpful since it is suppose to rain tonight. We plan on having him come back after the rain to cosmetically make it perfect. We completely forgot to tip him, so when he comes back next week we will. I would definitely recommend him.
