Great job Dove Roofing...
I got 5 estimates on my roof before I decided to go with Dove Roofing and I'm happy I did. They gave me the best price and finished the job in less time then estimated.

I've been putting this review off because I don't like doing things like this, and also, frankly, I don't have the time, but I feel this review is warranted and people need to be warned about the business ethics of Dove roofing. I'll try to make the story below as brief as possible and let you decide.

So, right before the last big storm that came through, Hurricane Hillary (that was downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it came this far north), I called around to see if there were any roofers that could cover a section of one of my rentals that I recently inherited with some plastic sheeting, as there was a leak and I have been waiting for probate to end so I could have the money to fix it. To Dove's credit (or maybe they're just not popular) they were the only ones who could go out and put a tarp up the day before the storm was expected. I can't remember all the options we covered over the phone, but when Adrian, or his guys, got there I checked in with a text and Adrian responded, quote, ""We're waterproofing,"" I asked, ""Waterproofing? You mean the tarp?"" Adrian replied, ""Yes."" ""Ok, great,"" I texted, ""Thank you...just so it doesn't blow off."" His next, and last reply before the storm, was, ""I'm putting heavy-duty materials.""

I'm not unrealistic, I realized that a big storm was coming which is why I made the comment about the tarp blowing off, but I paid the money when he claimed that his work would be ""waterproof"" because he was using, ""heavy-duty materials."" You can see where this is going, the tarp blew off the first night of the storm and there was major leakage and water damage on the front corner of the house. After charging me $4,000 just to cover the house with a tarp (that, later on, other roofers told me should have been about $1,000) my tenant texted me pictures of the tarp blown off, and to my surprise, HER cinder blocks and paving bricks were pulled from the garden and were used in a weak attempt to hold down the plastic. When I learned about this I informed Adrian of the situation and he sent his men (my tenant said she just saw, ""a kid in flip-flops,"") go up and put bags of gravel from Home Depot to finally hold down the tarp, but the damage was already done. The entryway was severely flooded, her large flower pot was broken where they/he accessed the roof, and the aluminum awning over the car port was dented from the cinder blocks and garden pavers they used when they first came out.

Now, to Dove's (dwindling) credit, they came out quickly and fixed the two dents in the driveway awning, but we still have the matter of a flooded room and me paying 4x the going rate for ""waterproofing"" that wasn't delivered. I am a reasonable man and said what I thought was a fair compromise was for Dove to refund my money minus any cost for the materials and a reasonable amount for the labor of their workers so that Dove would break even. I don't think I should have even offered that but, like I said, I'm understanding and compassionate, especially for those guys (or that kid) that came out a second time during the storm, but Dove roofing would have none of it, claiming that it was a ""hurricane"" and that they can't be held responsible. Yeah, well, it didn't seem to matter that a hurricane was coming when they took my $4,000 and promised me ""waterproofing."" Adrian's offer was to apply that $4,000 towards spraying the entire roof with polyurethane and that I would have to pay an additional $12,000 for that service, for a quoted total of $16,000 for a polyurethane roof job. Well guess what, I called around and it should only be $10,000 TOTAL for that polyurethane job, so even after the ""discount"" for their shoddy work, they're charging me $2,000 more than the competition! And that's after their lack of professionalism (using my tenant's garden pavers!) caused, or didn't prevent like they promised, major damage to one of my rooms.

I hope this wasn't too long for a prospective customer to read, and I hope that someone who is considering doing business with Dove roofing really considers going with someone else as their business ethics are bad, charging four times the rate in an emergency (fine, I agreed to it) then not backing up their work when they claimed a job was to be waterproof and it wasn't. And THEN their offer was to gouge me again after offering a supposed ""discount"" for their unprofessional and faulty work. I should really be thinking about suing for damages (I still might), but all I wanted to do was settle this in a (more than) fair manner for both parties, but they just wanted their money for little or no effort. When I explained what my situation was with another roofer, he responded...without me saying anything about who it was, quote,""That must be Dove roofing."" Enough said. Good luck to you in your roofing needs, stay far away from Dove if you value your time and money.

I wish I could give it a 0 star. I do not feel that the owner, Dave, is not an honorable person. I hired Dove Roofing to repair a roof in Dec. 2019, and they gave me a 2-year warranty. The first time it rained. after the repair, January 2020, the roof was leaking in the same spot. I called them, and they claimed they went and fixed the leak. The roof continued to leak every time it rained, we tried to contact Dave and Gus each time, with no results. I, and my property manager had called, emailed, and texted them over 30 times, and they have never fixed the roof. I paid them $3,300.00 and they never fixed anything. Finally, I hired another roofing company, and the roof was fixed.

David Berumen of Dove stated they would begin work in March. We had contact a couple of times and then they vanished. I called and text David a few times and nothing. Completely unprofessional. I would not recommend them at all.

I called Dove Roofing for an evaluation and estimate for our client's roof. Initally, they were responsive with booking the appt. Day after the appt, I followed up to see when we can expect the report - no response. A weekend goes by and we're now mid week, with still NO reply back. I've called and texted but still no response whatsoever. Lack of communication and professionalism warrants a 1 star review. Bummer.

It was a slow start due to all the rain but once they were able to start they got it done. They did a very good job. They even worked on saturday to finish the new roof. Their prices are very reasonable and if I ever need another roof I would call them.
