The quality of the work seem fine, but Double G Construction replaced my roof in anticipation of a home sale. The concrete tile roof was completed two week prior to the sale of the home. Jason Montgomery, the sales person clearly indicated the warranty was transferable. However, thirty days after closing there were a few tiles that needed to be adjusted and they refused to come out claiming the warranty was not transferable. The contract does confirm the warranty was not transferable but that is not what what was communicated in the sales process. Buyer beware - Read your contract and don't rely on their sales people!

If I could give no stars I would. I am at a loss. First I should have known by the practice of how they lied in the initial phone call to say they were going to be in my communities to do roof inspections. The next day when they arrived at my gated community the gate called me to allow them access. So first issue the lied and weren't in my community they used me to get into the community. Then they inspected the roof and the salesman came into my home to review with my mother. I had family staying with us for a couple of months due to the hurricane so there were 6 dogs in the house. We asked if the salesman was ok with dogs he said yes and proceeded to play with them. After he sat down at the table the dogs were barking and being loud. He got up from table to calm the dogs down those were his words. The 6 dogs were excited. Not sure if my brothers dog who doesn't live her scratched or nipped at him but he did receive a small ( less than 1/2 inch) scratch. Not a puncture but a scratch. My mom as a Nurse Practitioner got first aid and clean and treated the mark. She put a small bandage on it and asked if he needed further attention. He said no and sat down and continued with the whole ""sales"" process. Also trying to add solar to it as well. He was in house for over an hour. My mother told him she could not make the decision because I was the decision maker and he would have to make an appointment to meet with me. He scheduled to come back the next day to meet with me. The next day I had to of course grant him access to the community. He arrived at the house and went through the entire process with me. We asked about his wound and he said he was fine. There was no bandage and I couldn't see a visible mark. At the end I felt uncomfortable with how they were trying scare me into using a public adjuster and now understand that he was misquoting the law about adjusters and my ability to get help from anyone else. I told him I'd like to get another quote and review my options even though he never gave me an actual quote just that they will cover all my damages minus my deductible. I was worried about if my other damage beside the roof would be completed if their main focus and control was just the roof. After he left I did get the other quotes and decided to go the direction of a public adjuster. So 5 weeks after his sales pitch to me he leaves a voice message for my mother. She of course has be unavailable due to medical issues so when I finally listen to voice mail which I still have recording of, he went on to state, "" hi this is XXXX and I assume you must of decided to go another direction with your roof but we are still here to do the job and by the way a a doctor said I should maybe get a tenths shot. Can you let me know more about the dog that bit me."" I of course didn't call the company back because I felt like I was being bullied or coursed into a contract and threatened because of the dog. Then another month goes by and it seems he's called my homeowners and report a dog bite claim. I only know this because my insurance called me about it. He did not go to a doctor and did not miss any work. He wasn't emotionally effected because he chose to return the next day and entered the house with dogs loose again. He told my insurance company he got up to calm the dogs and he was bitten by the black dog. He confirmed he never saw a doctor and never missed any work. He told my insurance company he got up to calm the dogs and he was bitten by the black dog. He confirmed he never saw a doctor and never missed any work. When the insurance rep asked what it was he was looking for he said my arm was sore so I think I deserve something for it. When she asked him how he got our insurance info he said he got it from the inspection he did from the roof. So he took my personal information from his employers paperwork only because he asked to see my policy to see what my deductible was and what insurance would cover. I never filled anything out or signed anything. So I never wrote my policy number but he documented it because he gave number to the agent when making the claim. He also pulled his coworker into it by saying he was a witness but he was never in the house. He told my insurance he wailing have call them back with the witness's last name and phone number along with a picture of the injury. He has not followed through in days. Even if this never gets finalized it is legally on my report now as an animal bite and will follow my insurance coverage eligibility for the rest of my life!!

DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH DOUBLE G CONSTRUCTION!!! Absolutely horrible, they're only out for your money no matter what they have to do to get it!!! We signed an agreement with them for hurricane roof replacement 2020. Two years down the road, they tried deceiving and manipulate my disabled husband and I in signing practically a new agreement, with extra monies for them including signing our rights away as a consumer. As of the day Double G Construction's salesman came to my house and saw no quote on the document, I've requested multiple times for an estimate and full description of work to be performed, not once did they send me my request, even though the date of their first visit he declared that their office would email us one within two weeks. However, 2 years and 4 months later the insurance settlement came in for the roof and an extensive amount of money we've personally already spent on fixing our home, due to hurricane damage. WHAT A SURPRISE!!! (NOT!) their salesman called me twice and have sent two emails with a quote and the process to start replacement of my roof, even though, I CANCELLED THE CONTRACT IN WRITING a week almost two weeks ago!!!! I wrote them on how to make things right with us as a consumer, but Double G Construction have no good morals nor business tactics to even properly respond. I'm taking all routes possible by reporting them to make sure no other disabled, elderly or any other person is taken advantage by Double G Construction.

Very unreliable. No response time consideration. Unfinished job on my roof.
Poor workmanship. No English speaking person to supervise the job. Still waiting to see if they will honor the inspection report I had post roofing installation. Showing that the roof was NOT properly installed. They came to my home and approached me with possible roof damage and felt they could get insurance to cover the cost. They were successful in getting the claim settled. However, They were paid over 70 percent of the funds to reroof my home but they have still not completed the job. It is now going on over 3 months. But more than 2 years since we started this whole journey.
I am very disappointed with this company and the crews they hire without supervision.

we recommend jay and double g construction to everyone who's ever had an insurance claim from storm damage denied. These guys know what they are doing and have helped us recovering 1.2 million dollars to restore our commercial strip mall and beach home. Without them we where looking at crazy out of pocket expenses to do patch up repairs. Thank you guys

We signed up with Double G Construction June 2009 to replace our roof. Wind damage had occurred in December 2008 and had a lot of damaged shingles. We knew that it would take time to do all the paperwork required and schedule the work to be done. They wrote a contract and said we would only be required to pay our portion of deductible of our insurance. Included with that agreement where special considerations to reduce our out of pocket expense. In January 2020 the construction crew started replacing our roof. They did a super job and completed in a timely manner. Yes it took a while to get the job started, but in Florida due to hurricanes and unpredictable rain patterns, scheduling work to be done was an issue. Double G Construction did a good job! Thanks Clarence & Caroline N

I signed a contract with this company the end of July 2019, with the verbal agreement that the roof would be done during the first 3 weeks of November. November came and I was promised over and over that the job would start in a few days. It never happened!! Then I found out that they didn't even get the permit until the 4th of December so they had no plans on starting the job.
The roofing job was finally finished on December 23, while we had renters in our house. We also had a leak in the process. It was Before the job was done the manager emailed me that the total job was complete so we had our neighbor take a picture and the gutters were still lying on the front yard. This was the worst experience that I've ever had with a contractor.
