We had several roofing estimates prior to calling Done Rite. I only called them because I heard they had such good reviews. I called them the week before Christmas so they obviously could not come out until after Christmas. This was not an issue. I felt that waiting was going to be well worthwhile. Alan came out and did our estimate on 12-28-15. He was very thorough and I felt they would be a good company to hire. I was told that he would give the estimate to the office and I would have it the next morning before 10AM. This did not happen. On the 30th in the afternoon I emailed and asked them if they could please send the estimate to me so that we could hire a roofer. I did finally receive the estimate on 12-31-15. The estimate was not the cheapest but we felt that they had the best materials and the best ratings.

We attempted to contact them beginning 1-4-16. This should have been my red flag to not hire them but we were trying to be patient with the holidays and all. We left several messages and sent several emails to not receive any response. Eventually, I spoke to the owner; Jason and his wife Christina. After speaking to Jason we decided to go ahead and hire them. The paperwork was notarized and the deposit of $2400.00 was made immediately. Jason assured us it would be completed in 2 weeks. Once the check was cashed we did not hear from them again. This began a long, drawn out process of hoping and praying they would actually do the job they were hired to do. Done Rite had every excuse from rain, to hiring new people, etc. It seemed if it rained one day, it would delay their schedule a full week. They also apparently do not work weekends. I do not know why they would not work weekends if they were behind in schedule but that should be another red flag.Eventually I told her I was contacting the BBB and suddenly they came out to pull the old shingles off. That was 6 weeks after the deposit was made.

The crew came out to remove the old shingles and it did rain while they were doing it. They were hard workers and friendly. Out of the entire crew, only 1 person spoke a word of English. They left a mess in my yard, cans, hats, nails, shingles, small pieces of wood, etc all over the place. They also left the gate wide open to my yard. They did however complete the removal that day. Then it was a wait again....Every time I called the office I would get another date or a new excuse, that was when they actually answered. They never return phone calls.

Then they came up with new excuses from, rotten wood that wasn't noticed originally or more peaks, higher pitch, etc. Our roof is not that high and our house is not that big. If there were issues why did the first 2 crews not notice them?

I should also mention that the customer service of this company is a huge mess! They do not have anyone who knows what they are doing in the office and then once someone actually gets to your house, they never knock. The original estimator knocked to let me know he was there. The estimator is a big reason why we hired them. The roofers just start banging, they never knock or even speak a word to you. This is very unprofessional. They also do not call if they cannot come out. I questioned them on this and they said they don't have time to call when things change. They will call only to get the shingle and drip edge colors but they do not call to let you know they cannot make a scheduled appointment.

Anyways, back to the revue....Eventually I was able to reach the owners wife, Christina. She told me flat out that we could have just tar paper on the roof for 90 days and it would be fine! That was the last straw. I began a complaint with the BBB and suddenly they had time to come out. Once they began the roof they must have sent the slowest couple on the face of the earth to shingle it. It took them another entire week to shingle the roof. They never once knocked on the door, they arrived at 8-9am and set up. They were gone by noon for an hour and then they were gone for the day by 3pm. No wonder it took so long to shingle it!

Eventually the roof was finished and I have to say that it does look great! The finished product is very nice. The headache it took to get to this point was definitely not worth it though. We could have had someone else do it for less money and much faster. They took so long to come out that the leaking roof caused additional damage to the front wall and it is being ripped out now. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because the finished product was good. I am still finding nails in tires & shoes months later! Tires are getting quite expensive.......

Jason, the owner has since contacted me in an attempt to make up for the nightmare. I added another star for his professionalism. He stated he had a meeting w/ employees in hopes this does not happen again. I hope that in the future things will run more smoothly for them as a company.

I called done right to request an estimate for a roof leak during normal business hours. I left a message and they never returned my call. So I wasted a few days while my roof leak gets worse. Not returning calls in my book says this company has very poor service and really does not care about their customers...

I have known the owners of Done Rite Roofing, as they are a customer of my A/V firm (Attic Rat). So, of course when it came time to replace the roof on my own home, I called Done Rite.

However, as this is a significant purchase for me - no free passes were offered.

The Done Rite crew arrived on time and after discussing the work with me, they got right to it. Every member of their crew was as professional and polite as they were efficient. The new roof looks gorgeous! On the third day, a two-man crew was dispatched to clean up any remaining nails and detritus that is unavoidable with this type of work. The final total perfectly matched the original quote done personally by the owner.

I can recommend Done Rite roofing with no reservations.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
Horrible experience. The workers were unprofessional...rude...and took 3 days to work on my small roof. They made a complete mess in my back and front yard. Left nails and pieces of my old roof everywhere. We got a nail in our tire and also picked up 3 ziplock bags full of nails!!!!! I called the company and they said they would send someone to do a magnet sweep. One week later my daughter steps on a nail!!!! And I called again very upset and the lady said there was no notes saying they sent anyone out and they would have someone come. Well.. Nope I stepped on a nail and called again and they still haven't came. Horrible horrible company. My husband found 2 more nails by stepping on them while mowing the grass just 2 days ago. They left our yard with nails everywhere. They had no dumpster. They left it for US to clean. Let alone I have two small kids and two dogs. I worry all the time they will step on another nail. Pretty sad we can't walk in our own yard. Beware of this company. They don't care about their customers. I repeat Do Not use this company for your roofing!!!!!!!They should be shut down. I feel we should get a full refund for this. No one should have to pay for such horrible service!!! 4 nails in our feet and 3 bags of nail later. That shouldn't be. I shouldn't have to keep calling the office only for them not to do what they say they will do. No one has once came to clean up the mess. Even months later we are still finding nails. There shouldn't have been a mess that big. Horrible just horrible!!!!!!!!!!

I called to set up an estimate even though I saw they didn't have perfect reviews. I'm not sure who is answering the phone, but she just lost a customer. I have a couple leaks and the woman wanted to know if I needed to repair or replace. I said, I don't know. She explained that they have two different crews for providing estimates for repairing or replacing. Fortunately, none of the other companies I called have this issue, so I said I would call someone else. She said, Okay. She was fine with that. Hmm.. Not someone I would hire to answer phones for my company. I guess they have enough business to be choosy. Oh well. We might end up getting a whole new roof, but not from this place.

Thank goodness for Done Rite roofing. Do not trust those other roofing companies. I recently got scammed out of money from David E. Gilliland and was left without a roof for over 3 months. I made one phone call to Done Rite to fix the problem. They were there when expected and finished in 2 days and fit my budget. I will be highly recommending them to everyone! Do not go with the cheapest roofing company. TRUST ME on that one!

After complaining and threatening a lawsuit, they had workers come to my home for 5 solid days to find the leak they caused. They worked very hard for many days through the rain until they found the leak they created. I was promised that my lanai would be completely restored to its original condition.. This was September 1. We made an appointment for yesterday, September 14. I returned from New York a week early, I made arrangements to be home, lost money and not event the decency or respect of a phone call. I was told at 10 am when they were supposed to begin my lanai after waiting another month, that their worker did not show up. I am sorry if they hire unreliable people, but that is not my concern. I was promised yet again that he would call me before he came over. guess what I sat here from 7 am to 5 pm and not even the decency of a phone call. When I called today begging at least for a phone call, guess what again not even the decency to call me and let me know what time they were coming. Now I have literally lost hundreds of dollars by sitting here for two solid days without even the decency to return my phone call. I have wasted two days. I am on the board of directors of my area and nobody will ever use this company again for any of my properties. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. My lanai is a horrible mess I have been waiting 2 solid days at least for the respect of a phone call.

I contacted Done Rite roofing in early March about having a leaking skylight replaced. After they went to my place to measure the skylights, I received a quote from Nina. I signed the contract and the work was to be done within 2-3 weeks.

By May 11th, I had not heard from them so I called to follow up. I left a message and also emailed Nina. She wrote back saying that they had not ordered the parts and had lost the measurements. Nina said Peter would go out to measure it again.

I didn't hear back again, so I followed up via phone and email on June 24th, July 13th and July 20th. No response to either.

I tried calling some of their different numbers and eventually was able to speak to someone whom said Christina would get back to me.

Christina reached out to me via email on July 20th and stated that the it would be installed that week, weather pending.

It's now August 13th and I have tried contacting them again and am getting no response.
I chose Done Rite because they have good reviews, but my experience has been awful and the work has yet to be done. They have terrible customer service.

I had Done Rite Roofing repair a leak on a 12 year old roof In February 2015. The tech was perfectly nice and seemed very sure what the issue was and recommended a relatively inexpensive repair. Because of the age of the roof he only offered a 90 day warranty. So four and half months later when we finally got some heavy rain, it was clear the leak was not repaired. I called Done Rite and they pointed out that the previous repair was already beyond warranty but they were sure their repairman would ""be fair"".

When the tech called ahead of coming out, he really didn't remember the work and was asking me questions about it. When he got in the attic to look at the leaking area he brought up the condition of the water-soaked wood which I had mentioned during the previous repair. He then claimed to have recommended a more expensive repair previously that would have been ""thousands"". I told him that was not the case as I would've discussed these options with my wife. He insisted again that he had made this recommendation despite not even remembering the work at all 30 minutes prior. At this point I told him I'd have to get someone else to do the repair.

Between the previous incorrect diagnosis and ineffective repair, and the subsequent false claim of having offered multiple solutions, I would recommend folks look for another roof repair company.

Because the owner personally replied to yelp, explained, gave his personal cell number, I had decided to give Done Rite Roofing another chance to get a better star rating.

Robert, the owner, took the time to come out and do his job. As promised to Robert, changing one star to two stars. The extra star was solely for his honesty.

According to Robert's findings, 1) he would be charging about the same price as other roofers, if he were to do it.

2) due to fact that one of the leaks had been previously repaired by, at least, two other companies (that he and I can guess and know of), he did not want to take the chance at : A) not being able to get the job done right, plus suggested that I go back to my previous quotes and get them to do the work. Because he would (or could?) not be able to warranty someone else's past repair. B) He did not want to try to fix it, then having to come back and not get it resolved because of other company who had tried to fixed it before. C) finally, I had explained to him that I have had encountered with over 30 roofers and not have good results, so he did not want to jeopardized having a bad relationship with me.

What I got from this, these leaks, there are too much not working for me. Double shingles, no knowing how old the roof really is, previous no success to fix, by at least two different companies and/or people, add on another company, this was clearly not a simple and direct repair project.

Thank you Robert. Wish you and the rest of the staff at Done Rite Roofing the very best.
