We live in a relative's 1100+ sf tract house in Ventura county which needed a shingle roof replacement. DNA responded promptly with a quote. Permit was obtained quickly. Family approved the job and we picked the color. May was our primary contact and kept us continually informed. Work was completed timely after the last rain storm on a schedule that worked for us. The building inspectors were complimentary of the completed project.

I was called back right away and an appointment was made by Henry. The owner, Mike came out a few days later and diagnosed our issue with the help of his worker and a drone. Mike was very responsive, reliable and followed up to get our repair date set. The work was just completed, it was a one day project. He said the work is warrantied for 1 year because it is a repair. And for a full roof there is 10 year warranty.

Overall, very impressed with their service. I would highly recommend him.

After 2 months of my phone calls being dodged, and false promises to have someone follow up, someone finally came out and properly sealed the 2 areas of concern. They also stated that they would either fix the internal damages or pay for me to hire someone. It has been a month since those conversations and no one will return or answer my calls... again.

On the last day of construction, we discovered a low spot on the roof (our roof is flat). They figured out a fix and it was in in place the next day. They are fast and professional. I have a medium sized house of about 1,250 square feet. It has a composition shingle roof. That sounds simple enough, but actually, my roof is very complicated. Some of the roof is pitched and some is flat. There are also one air conditioning condenser unit, four skylights and 21 solar panels.

It was very stressful for me to get bids from various roofing companies. Prices and methods varied widely. But all roofing companies bid on the same materials: Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration shingles for the pitched roof and Owens Corning Polyfresko for the flat roof. DNA Roofing stood out from the other companies because they were the only company that offered to come over and bid on the job the same day that I contacted them. A woman named Dana came to check out my roof and give me a bid. My partner and I felt very comfortable working with Dana, so after getting several bids we decided to give DNA Roofing the job.

This began a relationship with Dana. She was not just the person who gave us the initial quote, but she remained our main point of contact throughout the job. She let me know in advance what work would be done and she came to check on the work as the job progressed. There were a couple of difficulties along the way: The LA Department of Building and Safety caused the most problems because certain tasks cannot proceed until LADBS says so. Unfortunately, they take six days for every task. LADBS took six days to issue an initial permit, but demolition old roof could not begin without a permit. They took another six days to come out to inspect the plywood sheeting, so installation of the new roof had to wait. LADBS then took another six days to approve the final roof, which delayed re-installation of the solar panels and the air conditioning condenser. So, I give LA Department of Building and Safety low marks for holding up my project.

All of the other issues pertaining to the construction of the roof itself were quickly resolved by Dana and Antonio. Antonio was the senior roofer assigned to the project.

In the end, DNA Roofing did a great job. The new roof is beautiful. I'm very happy with their workmanship and their friendly crew. So far, I have no regrets for having chosen to hire DNA Roofing for my new roof.
