Home owner. I purchased a 30 x 40 garage one year ago. I could not be more pleased with my garage. It's a proper building, not an oversized car port. Irving was very helpful with the design and made some great suggestions. County plan check had me make some changes to the building. The credits Irving gave me for the modifications were honest and fair and so was the pricing for additions I added. Jeff took me and my wife thru the shop and showed us the whole process which we appreciated. Connie and all the office staff were friendly and courteous. After County approval, order was placed and complete building was delivered on schedule. I have recommended them to family and friends.

I needed to replace some panels on a house that experienced an attic fire. We only needed to replace a portion of the roof on a house that was old; but, remainder of roof was in good condition. The owner of the shop was extremely helpful. Showed us the shop and how they manufacture the metal. Drew up some drawings for us to measure so he could match exactly with as little cost as possible. I've lived in Placer County for years and didn't know this company existed.....GREAT customer service!
Updated on 11/12/15: Well, my experience with Jeff was absolutely awesome as I mentioned before. However, today I went to pick up my order and walked in the door only to be talked to without even looking up by Pat. I hadn't said a word and he said ""He's not here"". I said that I was here to pick up an order and asked if someone else could assist. His response: If it's paid for and I hope you have a vehicle to haul it in. I told him that I had a truck with tie downs and would need assistance with those. His response ""Home Depot wouldn't do it and neither will we"". We exchanged some words and I asked him for the paperwork back that I just signed indicating that I picked up the order (since I wasn't taking it with me never dreaming they wouldn't help me load it). He refgused...took the paperwork, held it above his head like a child and wouldn't give it back. I proceeded to go next door and talked with Connie (very pleasant). She referred me to the OWNER....a grumpy old man who said ""Connie, go get Pat and tell him to load the $%@@#$% load"". As we went outside, I asked Connie if there was someone else that could assist....there wasn't. Because there wasn't anyone else to assist besides Pat, I told her that I would come back and take care of it later as I didn't trust Pat to handle it properly. Keep in mind that this was a special order...over $600 worth of product. And guess what, Home Depot has helped me load and tie down before. And, I would have gladly signed a waiver...NEVER again. Always try to deal with the locals but after this experience...me thinks not! Sorry Jeff.....when you are running solo, make a big banner!

I needed new roofing for my shop. I called Discount metal panels and was I happy I did. Excellent customer service right off the bat. The manager was so nice to me and my dog the day I picked up my product. A nice bag of really good hardware came really cheap with my product as well. I recommend Discount metal panels to any one looking for an honest metal distributor and compassionate business who cares for their customers. Thanks again

WOW. Talk about RUDE.

I called the ""owner"" just now (name: Irving) and simply started the conversation by asking if he is the owner or a manager.

Immediately he gets defensive and says, ""Why?!"" in a RUDE tone. I reply, ""Well, I'm a potential customer, but I'd like to deal with someone who is in a managing position so that I basically have a direct contact - someone who would be willing to work directly with me.""

He gets all snotty and downright patronizing, goes on to say, ""Well, I AM the owner, I have over 40 years of experience, tell me what you want and we'll see if we can help you."" He says all of this in a CONDESCENDING tone.

What the hell? And you're the ""owner?""

If you're looking for rude customer service from the actual ""owner"" of this company, by all means, give them a try.

No thanks - based on that first impression alone - I am going to spend my money elsewhere.
