I know from a fair amount of personal experience that good and reliable roofers are hard to come by. Many have the reputation of taking shortcuts and delivering fast, but sloppy work that unsuspecting homeowners often have no way of judging.

Dils was recommended to me by my contractor as one of the best and most reliable roofing companies (he has worked with many, and has settled permanently on Dils). I was not let down: Ryan and his staff were exceptionally helpful, informative, and friendly. His crew was impressively professional - both quick and meticulous, especially when it came to flashing the roof properly, which so many roofers cheat on or simply get wrong! They did the whole job in a matter of 4 days during the recent heat wave. They never complained and were a pleasure to work with -- incredibly industrious and accurate, and always friendly. They not only did a great job installing my roof, but also did a fantastic job with the carpentry, priming & painting (all of my facia and many rafter tails required replacement). I could have paid a little less, or a little more, but I am convinced no one could match the quality of this work!

I had used Dil Roofing at my previous home. They did a good job, so when I moved and discovered I have some leaking issues at my new place I called them. They were booked up a few months out, so I knew I would have to wait. I thought about going with another company just to get it done sooner, but since I knew they did good work I decided to waited. It was a long wait, because they had to reschedule me two times. 5 months later I have a new roof. They took longer than expected, but I now have a nice roof. If I need another roof job I will call them again. I didn't give them 5 stars only because of the long wait. However, I consider a busy company a good sign, it's just a bummer when it happens to you and it's pouring down rain, luckily San Diego doesn't get much rain!

Dils Roofing replaced our roof in 2004. We have had no problems with our roof since then. The installation was expert and the materials superb. We just had our roof inspected to see if we need to replace any tiles and Ryan found no broken tiles. This amazing as we have our skylights cleaned twice a year and we have had our house tented for termites and neither of these caused any damage to our roof tiles.
Because our roof is 14 years young we asked to have the seals on our flanges and roof caps checked and repaired as needed. All we needed was a bit of construction grade adhesive reapplied, which is something that should be done every 5 to 8 years. Ryan was very knowledgeable, skilled, efficient and helpful. I cannot praise the quality of Dils services and products.
We can now rest assured that our roof will protect our home from the elements. All the roof is sealed to prevent any curious rodents from entering our home.
Dils is the kind of contractor you dream of finding. Excellent product and services at a fair price with timely and conscientious response to questions and follow up service . Dils is here for the long hall and places customers first.

We had a roof leak in our old beach home and Dils Roofing was recommended by another roofing professional we knew. The waitlist was quite long ~1 month as we were in the middle of frequent storm season. Dils was responsive and stayed in contact throughout the process. They also came out to install a temporary covering to tide us over storm season. The first repair still had a minor issue, so they came out again and fixed it once and for all. They were honest and guaranteed their work. I highly recommend Dils and would use them again for future roof repairs.

The winter brought on some severe storms and our roof suffered. We have had patches done in the past by other roofers, but it was time to redo the entire roof since the house is over 30 years old. We were referred to Dils Roofing and they responded immediately. Ryan Dils met with us and worked out a plan to fix the leaks by replacing any necessary wood and replace all felt. We fortunately had concrete tiles and they were able to replace any broken ones. At the same time, they were able to replace any fascia boards that were suffering from dry-rot. They did it all. The only issue we had was that we had to wait a month to get the job scheduled due to an overwhelming need for roof repairs in the county. The crew was courteous and they showed up every morning at 8:00 am. Ryan kept us informed of any additional charges for issues that were unforeseen and even followed up after the work was done. The work was top notch. I highly recommend Dils.

Avoid! They had to re-work and patch portions of the roof 3 times. These clowns fell through my roof and ceiling - then they sent a guy to repair the ceiling that made it look like a water balloon. Then a poor guy cut his hand and left blood on my patio, hose, gate, walls - gross. Months and months of burden- avoid! And they left nails and debris in the yard. Thanks for the rubbish in my flower pots, clowns!
