I have been a San Diego homeowner for 33 years and this was the best experience with a contractor I have ever had. I got four quotes. One quote was way over the others. One company was terrible at actually get me a quote as I waited far too long for and decide if they were going to have that bad of service for a quote, it wasn't a good sign. Diamond Roofing and another company came in very close in price but the Diamond salesman Thomas Smith went the extra mile. He forward me links to solar attic fans that he thought would meet needs, helped select the under layer, a great price of repairing my sky light, and was easy keep in touch with. The tear off crew arrived at 7:15 Monday morning and completed everything in three hours! The installation team were waiting and started immediately. Edgardo and Mikey were top notch professionals. They answered any of my questions in detail. Their workmanship was first class. All the vents and pipes were painted to match the color of my roof. All the flashing and trim look great. They mostly finished at the end of the day on Wednesday but came back on Thursday morning to finish up a few details. I had a little wood damage. Every Roofing contractor is not going to include the wood under the shingles because they have no idea how bad it is until the old shingles are removed. The cost to replaced the damaged wood was minimal. My advice to you, is to have your roof replaced or at least inspected before it starts leaking if you can afford it. Diamond Roofing want you to be 100% satisfied with the results and I am that customer! Hire these guys. They are Great!

The owner, Fred, (great guy) helped us solve a tricky problem with part of our roof and we are happy with the outcome. The crew was fantastic...very hard working and knowledgeable, always on time and great with clean up. We feel they went above and beyond to make sure every last detail was right and that we were happy.
We even added on some last minute work and they
adjusted their schedule to accommodate us. We are impressed with the work they did and absolutely recommend Diamond Roofing. They are highly professional and personable and helped make this roofing experience a good one for us.
These guys showed up when they said, did what they were supposed to and cleaned up when they were done. I couldn't ask for a better experience! Great job!
We had a roof leak in April and Jesus came out the same day to repair the cracked tile and assess the larger problem. I was impressed by the thoughtful analysis of the issue and the willingness to explain the reasons for certain suggestions. We got several quotes for the work, and Diamond Roofing's quote came in at a very reasonable price. The crew that performed the larger work was extremely considerate and efficient.
Lori G.I can't say enough good things about this company. The staff, Ashley, Rochelle and Courtney were friendly, knowledgeable and very responsive. The owner, Fred, was honest from the get go about what was needed to replace my very neglected 30+ year old roof. His bid was very reasonable considering the job - tearing off 3 shingle layers plus parts of the original wood shake from 1909! He included repairing (replacing) the unattached garage roof also at a very good discount. The best part is that this company is family owned. Fred told me that his daughters are taking over some day, which is great because I try to support women and minority owned businesses. The job was difficult, needed replacement of ALL plywood and some rotten beams but the tear-off crew got it done in 1 day. One more day to cut and replace all the wood, and the last day to shingle. Only three days. They cleaned up nicely and even inspected and cleaned my attic several times to make any debris was getting inside during the process. The finished roof looks great and i'm getting compliments from neighbors. I highly recommend this company. I will absolutely hire them again when it's time to install new rain gutters.
Logan C.Scheduled a time to have an estimate done on one of my properties. I had to schedule several contractors simultaneously because this is what my schedule allowed. Diamond roofing shows up (10 minutes late) the guy driving sees the other roofing company on the roof taking measurements and stops in front of the house. He then takes a couple of pictures, ( keep in mind I am standing right in front of him) then speeds off visibly upset. I wait another 30 minutes or so then call the company. The receptionist answers and explains that she asked him stay but he refused and he didn't want to ""crowd the other roofer"". He never greeted me or called and explained, nothing. Just looked me in the eyes took pics of the front of the house and speed off muttering to himself. My consolation was their offer to quote the job remotely via satellite (which I never received). This company is unprofessional as they come. Don't be fooled by the reviews on here as I did. Subsequently, I went with RM Roofing. They were on time, professional and gave me a great price.
Update: I haven't heard from the company since their reply to this original post. Nor have I thought there would be further issue. However, now several weeks later, the owner has decided to start calling me nearly everyday to persuade me to remove my post. Below is the conversation between us.
Owner:
I was just trying to give you my side of the story about what happened! Obviously you don't care.. RM roofing was stealing my guys on the weekend to do his jobs!!! That's why Tedd pulled away from your house.. Your negative review has really hurt us bad! I wish you would consider removing it or atleast listen to my side of the story. We have a company with 40 employees and numerous families to support. Negative reviews kill us , especially ones where we never touched your roof.. Take care! Ill leave you alone and erase your #. Please sir remove the negative review it's affecting so many.. Take care Logan.. Happy life to you. Be safe out there.

I understand your position, however, as a customer, I feel strongly that my experience with your company is valuable and should be shared with other potential clients. My schedule, and those of others, is important and worthy of greater consideration than your company offered. Standards are clearly lacking when private issues you have betwixt yourself and other companies are being shouldered by your customers; Considering this, an element of professionalism is grossly missing in your employee-customer business model and a revamp of this factor would surely benefit you, your company, and future customers. I find it unfortunate that you not only felt the need to share private business squabbles with a potential client, but that you also found it appropriate to expect me, as a customer, to shoulder the burden of your roofing drama by allowing extra time in my scheduleto accommodate the nonsense. Expecting myself or other potential clients to adjust their schedules for your business issues is unacceptable. Quite honestly, if you couldn't get an appointment time ""nailed down,"" why on earth would I assume your company could feasibly attach a roof? Regarding removing my review, ""business is business"" and my review is all business. As the owner, it is your responsibility to your company and employees to avoid these types of situations, not mine. If my review has caused you or your business hardship, I suggest you use the experience as an opportunity to change the way you train employees and how you function with potential clients to avoid future negative reviews. Additionally, tending to the aforementioned issues should go far too ensure you won't need to reach out to customers in an attempt to guilt them into removing their honest reviews.

He was 10 minutes late and I waited 30 minutes for him to come back before I called to find out why he drove past and did not stop (happy to post time-stamped proof). There was NO commitment to follow through with the scheduled appointment, your guy never returned. And you are incorrect, I WAS a customer, emphasis on WAS. You LOST me as a customer when you shared your business issues with me and asked that I be ok with them, thus excusing your poor business ethics. The fact that you find such behavior acceptable, and that you expect your customers to be ok with it too IS PRECISELY the problem. Please stop harassing me to remove my review-- it's accurate and it stands. Good luck and good day to you .
Ridiculous.
We developed a roof leak in two separate areas of our house a few months apart. We were especially concerned about the first leak because we had just recarpeted the house. We contacted Diamond Roofing based on their superior reviews. On both occasions, they were able to schedule us very quickly, which was a surprise (especially the second visit, which was in the middle of the rains). Courtney in the office was very accommodating in this regard, and was also very straightforward about how the charges would be applied. The roofers quickly diagnosed the source of the leak on both occasions, and were courteous and professional. Both roof leaks were fixed without the need for a return visit. I would highly recommend this company!

They saved us a bunch of $$ by doing an extensive roof repair and upgrade, rather than replacing the entire roof. I have front porch roof leak during heavy rain. It is a small project and several companies do not want to take it. Diamond Ted came on time to inspect and gave reasonable quote. Today two workers came early in morning and finished the work the same day. The workers are nice and friendly. The did the job carefully. Thanks them to get this small project done nicely!
