When our roof experienced storm damage about 2 years ago, we requested references from our local community. More than one person recommended ""Dependable"" and we opted to select them to complete the work.

The first problem was they underestimated the amount of shingles and time to complete our roof. They handled that by getting more shingles, and in their rush they continued to work into the dark hammering shingles. Initially, I was impressed with them trying to get the job done promptly, but ultimately that lead to problems.

Within weeks the shingles started to slide off the roof--that's not good. They would come back, fix a section, then more would slide off. This going on since the roof was installed and it was progressively getting worse. I gave them one final opportunity to repair the roof and now just a few weeks later more shingles are slipping off the roof. Here's a summary of what they did wrong:

1. The shingles are architectural and have a close tolerance on the nailing location. If not nailed properly it causes the shingles to slip.
2. By installing the shingles improperly, that voids the warranty with the shingle manufacturer. The roof is essentially worthless now.
3. They misrepresented the repair could be made vs a replacement. By not replacing the roof we are now with an out of warranty roof per the manufacturer.

I have photos of our problem that will be posted as well. It is very disappointing as we had hoped that a local roofer would have been more ""dependable"" and know how to properly install a roof.
