Dependable re-roofed our 30 year old concrete tile roof in conjunction with our solar panel contractor, YES, so that roof can be assured of a leak free roof after the panel are installed.

They removed the tiles, added new tar paper over the existing paper, sealed ridges and valleys and other work. YES installed the PV standoff bases before the tiles are replaced. All done in a short time, days.

We just received our roof consultation from Gerardo and I am extremely disappointed. We have not received the estimate yet, he was sitting in front of our house for 30 minutes before being told to just leave and send the estimate and pictures later. When Gerardo arrived, he was told to not break any tiles. That is obvious and we were somewhat joking but, since this was our 2nd estimate, I had a feeling that I needed to caution him to not break new tiles since we had already gotten a count of the damaged tiles from the first estimate.
When he was on the roof, I could hear him stomping around up there and it even sounded like he was moving equipment, it was so loud. I thought to myself, I know that he is not being so blatant as to allow us to hear him being careless. Lo and behold, unfortunately, Gerardo was unable to successfully ""read the room"" and when he came down he told us that DOUBLE the amount of tiles were damaged than with our first estimate. No one has been up there since our first consultation so, how did 8 more tiles get cracked in less than a week?
I wish that I had read some of the other 1 and 2 star reviews before as some of their experiences sound familiar. One was from a lawyer who said that he planned to sue. Regardless of what their estimate is, their integrity is questionable and I would never use them, especially after another reviewer said that they caused damage to their electrical system, did not say anything and denied it.
I am sure that the first company I had give an estimate will confirm this when they notice more damage than what they originally observed.
Since I started this review, the company called and said that there was a mixup in appointments and that they needed to reschedule us. She was told that the person had ALREADY been here to do the inspection, had left and promised us the estimate was on the way. She could not find that one had been started in her system and said that they normally take 2 business days.
This is administratively weird and almost scary. I can't imagine what kind of problems we would have had if we were going to hire them. Another review on here says that some of these 5 star reviews are by their employees. I am starting to think that might be true given the vast contrast in experiences.

After reaching out to Dependable Roofing for a quote, I noticed they were very fast to reply by email and if they didn't answer the phone, the call back was quick.

Out of 3 quotes theirs was in the middle, but something the receptionist said to me closed the deal. I was concerned with matching the paint of the neighborhood to be in compliance to the CC&Rs. She said, ""We've done several houses in your association so we will be able to closely match your neighborhood colors"".

Jose was the foreman (25 years with this company) and he was as pleasant as can be. Answered quickly any questions or concerns I had. He met me as scheduled at the site. Job was completed on time and on budget. Looks like a Class A job and a Class A Company. I highly recommend them.

They did my roof in November 2019. I have been meaning to do a review but my memory is somewhat faded since this was a while ago. They came out end of September 2019 and gave a free estimate. We also had another guy (different business) come out the same week and quoted us $6,000 more than what Dependable Roofing quoted us. I had to get it completely replaced because when it rained, water was leaking inside of my house! They got it done maybe 2 days after they said they would. But it's ok because they had to replace some of the wood beams due to wood rot. So I wasn't really surprised. The crew was nice and professional. The office admin, Sandra, was as well. If anything came up she always called me and would email me as well. They asked for the payment once the entire job was complete.

Dependable Roofing just finished installing new gutters, facia boards and molding. Their workmanship was impeccable. Jose and his team are very professional and cooperative. This is the second time we used Dependable and each time the project turned out perfect. Jose was very fair and easy to work with on all our projects.

After interviewing several roofing companies, we chose Jose and his team to prepare our roof for solar panels. While the other companies wanted to replace our entire roof, Jose assured us our roof has many years left on it, and laid out a plan to place the correct type of shingles in the areas where we were placing solar, perform roof maintenance, repair flashing, and replace broken gutters. The entire team was courteous, diligent, and performed the necessary tasks with great attention to detail. We are very pleased with the price and the quality of work performed by Dependable Roofing.

José and Jorgé and all the guys from Dependable roofing were beyond incredible with our new roof. They had a difficult job removing two layers of roof (metal over wood shingles) and did a great job! They cleaned every day and took a magnet around the yard to get nails and debris removed so our dog wouldn't get hurt. Major attention to detail. They installed all the gutters and downspouts and painted them to match our house. The roof looks amazing and brought our 1970s house into the current decade! Highly recommend

I highly recommend Dependable Roofing. This is the second time we used them and the experience was excellent. They are thorough - replacing fascia boards, most of the wood on a fireplace and any other questionable wood. We have a wooden pergola they had to work around. They jacked it up, worked under it and put it back in place. They reconfigured our gutters to make them more efficient AND replaced all leaf guards. Each day they used a magnetic tool to pick up any nails as well as general clean up. They color matched our house paint and painted any wood that was replaced. The crew was very respectful as well as following COVID protocol. They worked quickly. AND IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL:)
