Suggested an expensive solution to water leak on roof, found a better solution for less that 25% of the bid I received. If you plan to use Decker you will have to ""pay"" for his suggested repair, it is taken off the cost, but if you do not use you lose.

I didn't like the fact we had to pay for an estimate. My husband had them do the estimate anyway. When the job was done, which the guys who put in the ladder to the attic did a good job, the guy who was saying how much we owed didn't subtract the $65 or $69 estimate fee and then didn't deduct the part of the payment for the actual work we had to pay up front. There is no other home repair company who requires an estimate fee that I know of or partial payment before the job is actually done. It was a few hours worth of work, not days of work. The final payment should have been figured out in advance and I shouldn't have had to tell the guy we already paid these amounts for the job. It seemed the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. This is no reflection on the actual work, but I can see them taking advantage of people. I don't know why WORD 106.3 keeps saying what a great company this is when it's not that great.

If I could give less than one star, I would! We called to get an estimate for our kitchen remodel and they sent someone out the next week. We received our estimate the following week on 11/9/17 and agreed to the contract. It took them 6 weeks to get started on the job and an additional 12 weeks to complete the work. 4 weeks after we signed the contract they came back to us saying the job was under quoted and they wanted more money. We should have taken this as a sign from the beginning and moved on to another company but we disregarded it because someone made a mistake. During the whole process we were very frustrated with the lack of urgency and their precarious work schedule. On the days they actually showed up to work, it was rushed and sloppy. They were careless and their work was mediocre at best! We had to inspect their work on a daily basis and request for things to be corrected and done over multiple times. No one paid attention to the details and they were always trying to cut corners. We purchased all new appliances for our new kitchen. They had to install our dishwasher 3 times, which took an additional 3 weeks to get corrected. They also damaged the refrigerator when putting it in and that took an additional 7 weeks to get corrected. They wouldn't own up to causing the damage to the brand new refrigerator, so thanks to Steve at Home Depot for taking the hit on this one! He contacted GE to get the replacement parts and he came out to our home to fix the damage. It took a total of 24 weeks for this fiasco to be completely finished! When you're paying for a job to be done, you want it to be done correctly and to look like professionals did the job! We shouldn't have needed to micromanage the work that was being done. That was the job of the project manager, which changed at least 4 times in the 12 weeks they were working. Not to mention there were several people that were fired and/or not paid for the work they did. Some of which deserved it but there were others that did the best work on our kitchen and still lost their job. We would not recommend Decker Home Repairs and we will definitely not be using them again!

This company shouldn't be in business. They failed to get a permit after I asked them to. When I insisted, they got a permit for other work they performed not for what I had asked. Dirty slight of hand tactic by a less than reputable company.

We called to get the ""free estimate"" for some rain damage repair. The ""free estimate"" was going to cost $150! We are gathering estimates and will then decide what company to choose.

Called twice to get a quote. Each time they asked us for a picture of what we wanted done. We sent the pictures and they never called. Another company did want the business so they got it.

Well I never got to see the quality of work they do. We spoke with Mr. decker not a very pleasant conversationalist was told to call back and his receptionist would schedule us in. We had someone come out to quote us on several repairs around the house. That was 10 days ago we touched base to see if the quote was ready he sounded like he forgot and was going to get right back on it. Still waiting...thanks Mr. decker for reaching out and giving us the info needed to move forward.

Jamie Decker repaired my roof leak on the same day he came out very nice young man and you can tell he knows what he is doing by the way he explain the reason my roof was leaking I would've gave him 10 stars but it would only let me do 5.
