The guys at Dean Roofing Company got out super-fast to give me an estimate on my roof - literally less than 24 hours. They usually have a lead time of 7 days, but they went WAY out of their way to help me out! They were professional and easy to work with. And their quote was very competitive! If I hadn't found out at the last minute that some roofer friends of mine had moved to Clearwater from out of state and had just started their roofing company in Clearwater, I would have definitely used Dean Roofing Company to do my new roof. I felt bad to not use them after they had bent over backwards to get right out to get me a fast quote and their quote was such a good price. The discernment process we took that brought us to Dean Roofing Company took several months because we researched all aspects of a roof including the actual roofing products, warranties and recommended installation companies. Your roof is one of the most expensive projects to undertake and this selection process was important to us because a roof can impact the curb appeal of a home along with the resale value, furthermore, a sound roof will protect your home during a hurricane and impact your insurance rates. There are many shysters in the business who will gladly take your hard earned money and install a sub-par roof so we took our time to select Dean Roofing. The first step we took was to research the best shingles considering we live in a hurricane prone area. We decided on Owens Corning TruDefinition shingles because of their innovative ""Sure Nail"" design which offers exceptional hurricane wind resistance. Do yourself a favor and visit the Owens Corning web page and read up about these shingles. Once we decided on the shingles we discovered that Owens Corning has a certification process for approved installers and that having a roof installed by a ""Platinum"" installer will yield the best product and workmanship warranty; again, do yourself a favor and look at the Owens Corning webpage for warranties that are offered. A ""non-endorsed"" installer will give you virtually no warranty, however, ""a Platinum"" installer will get you a 50 year warranty for defective shingles. Once we decided on the Owens Corning product, we researched ""platinum"" installers in the Greater Clearwater area and solicited bids on our roof job. We received 4 quotes, however, the quote from Dean's stood out as the best. The estimator from Dean's, Danny, came out to our house and further explained the Owens Corning products. To get the best warranty and hurricane storm protection we decided to use ""peal and stick"" underlayment instead of traditional felt paper. Our insurance company also decreased our premium because we used ""peal and stick"", which adheres directly to the roof decking and self seals around nails. Danny delivered a very competitive quote to include replacing several skylights; shortly afterwards, we scheduled an installation date. The entire project, which lasted two and a half days, was nothing less that perfection. The roofing supplies were delivered and the workers immediately commenced removing our old roof. Daniel, our foreman was in the job site for the duration of the project and took the time to explain every step of the process. We had 12 roofers simultaneously removing the old roof and prepping for the installation of the new roof. During the removal it was discovered that the flashing around our chimney needed replacement and Daniel took the time to show us the rust destroyed existing flashing and presented us several options to correct the problem. The crew that installed our roof was by far, the hardest, most efficient crew I have ever seen; there was never a lull in the progress, the entire crew was professional and kept the job site clean. Upon completion, our entire property was thoroughly cleaned; not one nail remained on the ground. As I stated earlier, your roof is one of the most expensive investments you will make for your home. The roof will protect your from afternoon showers to hurricanes, it will impact the resale value of your home and will definitely increase your home's curb appeal. Do your research before deciding on an installer. We are so happy that we decided to have Dean Roofing install our new roof. With a 74 year legacy in Clearwater, we knew we were selecting a generational company that will stand behind their craftsmanship; this coupled with the Owens Corning ""platinum"" endorsement gave us the piece
of mind that we were protecting our investment. Not all roofing companies are created equal and Dean Roofing Company was clearly the best contractor we solicited. We are unequivocally happy with Dean Roofing Company and they have our highest recommendation. Thank you to Danny, Daniel, Eric and the rest of the crew for an exceptional roof.

If you want it done right, call Deans, don't deal with the fly by night roofers who might not be here when your roof starts leaking. Dean has been here for ages and their work is excellent. I now have a new Dean's roof and it is gorgeous. No high pressure salesmen, either, just a real helpful guy. They have an awesome assortment of roofing to chose from.

I had a complicated roofing project involving the removal of a flat roof on a commercial building and replacement with addition of tapered insulation to prevent ponding of water. I contacted three roofing companies and wisely chose Dean Roofing and not for the price as they were not the lowest. I am an engineer with 50 years of building construction experience and from my first encounter with company owner Bruce I was impressed with everything. Their highly experienced estimator Danny, met with me last year on the roof and answered all my technical and logistics questions as we had to assure that our tenants businesses would not be unreasonably hampered during construction. He explained that our job had to be done over a 3-4 day period of guaranteed no rain. They scheduled the job coordinated with my schedule as I live out of state and wanted to be present during the work. They arrived on schedule with ample experienced workforce, equipment, and materials. The on site project supervisor, Daniel, was very responsive and a real gentleman to work with and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. They stayed with the job continuously until the job was completed and removed construction debris and waste daily. I am very pleased with their work and based on this experience I would recommend them without any reservations.
