Recommended Customer Reviews

I had great results using DBR Construction. They came when they said they would, and called me numerous times to ask if I had any problems or concerns. They had to remove 2 layers of roofing as per the state prerequisites. They took the time to explain things to me and were very helpful. I have a double-wide mobile home and they removed the 2 layers, hauled away all the debris and finished it in 1 1/2 days. Very happy with their work.

Honeymoon phase: The company presented with reasonable pricing and exceptional customer service. I was told a roof assessment was needed to provide further information. After the roof assessment, my family met with a company worker. We were told it did not appear to have a double shingle layer; however, if there was, an additional fee would apply..."" but it's not likely after my assessment ."" Also, if we need to repair any woodwork, you get two free panels and ""I don't foresee using more than that ."" The project was projected to be around $8,000.00. Finally, we have a ""No picture, No pay"" policy (not in the contract), meaning that you don't have to pay if we can't show you the extra repairs: what a tremendous initial sale proposal, and very lovely might I add. Little did we know, we were going to pay the price.
After the roof was off, I was told, ""Mr.Rodriguez... the roof has double shingles. Also, the woodwork is going to need more than two panels, and in fact, it's going to need 5+. The extra work will bring your balance up to $11,000.00. With my roof off, what option did I have other than to agree? Also, the ""No picture No pay""...NOPE... I was never offered nor received any pictures of the ""unforeseen damage."" Frankly, I don't even know the purpose of the roof assessment. If the roof was properly assessed, why are these ""unexpected"" problems coming up? Again, I gave the company the benefit of the double, another mistake.
I paid half upfront, the other half minus $1,000.00 after the project was completed. Once the project was said to be completed, I inspected the work. I found a corner of my house with the bottom portion of my roof falling. This was beyond blatant and left my roof exposed to bugs, rodents, and Lord knows what else can crawl in there. Not to mention water damage. So, I told the company I would not pay the remaining $1,000.00 until they fixed the problem. They failed yet again. I found the corner repaired; however, the wood was cracked, and they were a large gap that bugs, rodents, and water damage could still happen.
Finally, I told them I would repair myself because they've failed me numerous times. The remaining $1,000.00 I offered to pay since there was a contact, and the company shamelessly picked up the check and left. I highly recommend this company if you don't care about details, getting your money's worth, and enjoying surprises around every corner.
