David never completed the job I called him for months trying to get him to complete the job and finish paying him the balance owed. He never returned any of my calls and never returned to finish the work. Now several years later my roof is leaking. After many attempts to contact him he says why should I come back and repair the roof roof you never paid me.. I told him I tried for months to pay you and you never returned my calls. I had a new roofer come out and was told That the nail under the shingles are all rusty because the pitch of the roof isn't steep enough for what David's company installed. I have text David and and again many times to come and repair the roof and have advised him that I would start to alert the public of his business practices. He still hasn't contacted me

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
I called Merritt Construction to do some warranty work on my roof. I noticed two small leeks in my roof that needed to be addressed. After they attempted to fix the roof I inspected the leaks during the first rain. I noted the two leeks had become five. Not only did they not fix the existing leaks they created three more. After several weeks of phone calls they finally came back out and tried again. Unfortunately, the leaks are still there. I have been calling for the last few weeks and have not received a return call. Now when I call it said their voicemail is full.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Took this company to the Bbb to try to resolve issues with the work they did on my home. David was suppose to fix the problems he did send some one out but the roof on my florida room stills pours water in

Used Merritt roofing to replace my home and garage roof after Hurricane Matthew. Could not be more pleased in the service and quality of the workmanship. They did exactly what they said they would do and even exceeded the scope of work we discussed. The 3 man crew sent to do the job could have not been anymore accommodating.

Merritt replaced my roof in the end of December 2016. It leaked in February and the owner of the company claimed that repairs have been made. The roof leaked again on April 3rd, 2016 in two places causing extensive damade to the interior of the home including electrical; ceiling and beautiful wood floors. David Merritt and Jeff Reynolds - two owners of the company eventually stopped answering my phone calls. I had another roofing company examine the work and aside from repairs to a 3 month old roof estimated in $1900, they stated that entire job exibited extremely poor worksmanship. That quote does not include the repairs to the interior of the home.
