Mike Price was able to come out the same day i called, performed exactly the roofing job i needed, and didn't hesitate to take on what i'd consider to be a very small job. he didn't overcharge, and explained exactly what was needed. overall i'm very satisfied with the experience.

I can't say I have had very many good experiences in the near past with people working on my old victorian house, but this was definitely one of them. I gave Mike my info and he said he would call back in a bit to confirm a time and he did just that. He came over, looked at the problem and offered cost effective solutions to our problem. He will be back to do more work for us and i know who i will be calling in the future for any repairs having to do with our roof/gutters. I highly recommend him to any homeowner looking for an honest and hard worker.

I just had Mike from Dandy Roofing replace the leaking skylight over our kitchen. His price and quality were excellent. He was prompt in response to my calls and was able to perform the job soon after I decided to use his services. I would definitely choose Dandy Roofing for any future roof repairs.

Do Not Use This Business!

He took my money and did not fix anything. Also, he does not have a business license. I filed a complaint against him with the state contractor's board. This business is BAD NEWS.

First of all, your dates are one year ahead. My very first request to you was on 11/14/07. your last time in the house was 02/2008. You might have told me you may ave been too optimistic, but now I am suffering from that optimism. You should assume responsibility for it. And let me correct you - you are wrong when you said it did not leak for 6 months. It was leaking days after you last worked on it but you never returned my calls anymore. I have all my call statements to prove it. NO incoming calls from you. And I did call you 6 months after to get reimbursement for the roof work by another contractor who had to fix your work. He did say you used the wrong material for the type of the roof. And yes, the house and roof is old. But I told you about that the very first time you worked on the side of the house. And it does not take Superman to see that especially if you've already worked on part of the roof. Your last statement where you were saying you came the day after to coat the roof, that happened after the original work and not 6 months after.

It's time to take responsibility, Michael. You're a nice guy but nice guys make mistakes and should take responsibilities for them.

Michal of Dandy Roofing did a nice job with a couple of projects at my place. He replaced a downspout and then painted a chimney cap and did some water-proofing. Very reasonable prices and worked quickly and neatly.

Mike got the job done right.
1. Quoted me a good price
2. Spent two hours working on it on Wed.
3. Came back with more materials, new drain pipe and roof sealant on Thursday and finished the job.
Not leaking from the most recent storm!! (and it always used to leak from any rain at all)

I tried to fix this leak myself for a month and couldn't figure it out. Mike had two different ideas about what the leak was from. His first idea wasn't the issue but his second theory turned out to be accurate, and he fixed it for his original quoted price... He actually painted over the black roof sealant with a color matching my house which was very cool because I thought I would have to do that myself

As with any contractor I would never pay until the job is 100% completed. I would use Dandy roofing again.

Called him at 12:00 and he was at my house by 1:30. Came out in the middle of a rain storm and stopped the leak. Just what I was looking for. Bringing him back this week to create a more permanent solution. If it holds through the winter, I'll go to five stars. Thanks Mike.

Yelp-heads, I really didn't want to write this, but our experience with Mike is not Dandy, even if he charges less than other contractors.

I am severely disappointed with Dandy Roofing, and I'm honestly thinking to report this business to the Better Business Bureau. Or even take him to court.

At first when you're a new customer, it seemed alright; this contractor was initially responsive. But Mike Price is selective about who he will help or service after being PAID IN FULL.

I honestly try to give people chances, but this guy simply does not return calls, and once he got the money for the job, now does not give a flying fig. EVEN THOUGH HE CLAIMS HE IS PROFESSIONAL AND GUARANTEES HIS WORK.

I mean I really do hope he is competent at what he claims he can do because roof leaks are the last thing we need. BUT....

In my experience, Price has not been entirely professional with service, and he constantly gives excuses--- if you can even catch him on the phone--- about why he can't make already scheduled appointments.

Here's one example: ""I'm in the middle of selling my truck and don't feel comfortable driving the truck I just bought because it's not officially registered so I have to go to the DMV today, I'll call you later with a time."" NEVER CALLS BACK.

And the only times he might show up are late in the evening. Customers pay thousands of dollars for this? I guess we just did.

You know what? My 73-year-old mother even helped him a little while he did his work at night on the roof, by holding up a light so he could see what he was doing. Meantime, his friend/helper sat outside waiting for him in his truck.

He did siding work, which is supposed to help prevent leakage, and then said he could replace the door and frame leading to the roof, because we worried about leaks coming in through there.

Well. Anyone who looks at it will see the door is tilted and not hanging correctly in the frame. We should have left the old door as is, but he wanted to make a few hundred bucks more off of us. Guess what? There was leakage when the rains came during Halloween.

And how did he respond when we tried contacting him about that? He wanted photographic proof of leaks and refused to simply come see what could be causing it.

Mike Price claims he will guarantee his work for two years. It will be at least that long, before you might be able to reach him on the phone.

I'm willing to upgrade my rating later MIKE, but I honestly don't think you care.

Mike tackled all household repairs we needed to be done. This included installation of new downspout to replace rusted one, painting, cement work, repairing fence by putting in new posts, caulking cement steps, caulking the shower, restoring and water-proofing an old garden window, and restoration of a vintage piece of furniture. Very conscientious, versatile, polite, guarantees his work, and charged fair prices. Thanks for all the jobs well done!
