During the big rains earlier this year my converted garage sprung a leak. Dandy roofing was the only roofer out of the 10 roofers I called to actually return my call - and he called back within hours. They came out the same day to diagnose the problem. The next day they came out and did the work. Then it rained again and the leak was still there. When I called they returned immediately and did some additional work and then again when the leak refused to stop. Finally, after 4 visits they were able to stop the leak. It was a tricky problem but Mike and Frank kept at it until it was fixed. The price was right and they were determined to solve the problem, which they eventually did. They were responsive and always returned calls , texts and emails promptly. I would use them again and recommend them to friends and family (which I did, in fact, end up doing).

This guy is a Rip Off artist Stay away. He was contracted to install a roof on my buildings and took a deposit of $1,000. He was supposed to start at 7:30 in the morning to tear off my old roof but he showed up 3 hours late and un-prepared to do the job. He stayed about 2 hours making a mess and cutting holes in my roof and left the job. We tried calling him at least 15 times and emailed him another 15 times to find out what was going on and if he planed to come back and return my money. So far this crook put holes in my roof and took a $1000 dollars from us and wasn't returning our phone calls. We are planning to file a police report and are planning to press charges against him. Stay Away!

A couple of nights ago it was raining really hard. I noticed the window trim inside my house was leaking...and leaking...and it wouldn't stop. I went through many towels trying to keep the floors from getting damaged. My wife suggested I call a roofer. I went to yelp, and Dandy Roofing was the first one to come up. I called the number (it was about 9-10pm). To my surprise, someone answered and said they could be at my house in 30 minutes (30 minutes - that's it! No 2-4 hour window). Mike showed up with his truck and long ladder. Went up to the roof, identified what the problem was (mind you, it's pouring and he only has a flashlight, but still found the issue). He was able to put in a fix at a reasonable price. After he was done, the leak stopped! Mike saved the day.
I'll call him again to put in some nails because it was late at night and didn't want to make too much noise. Mike was professional, respectful, and fair in pricing. Thanks Mike!

Mike came over and did a pretty thorough assessment of my roofing needs. He quoted me a price and arranged a time to come and fix the roof soon after the estimate. Although it was postponed a few times due to rain and scheduling on both sides, he said he would keep me a priority. It's been almost 2 weeks and no reply. He seemed like a good roofer but I can't confirm that since he didn't show up to do the work. I guess business is good.

I manage and office building which needed emergency repair because of a leaking skylight. Mike came out the same day, in the rain, at night, on a very slippery pitched metal roof, and fixed the problem. He explained why the leak had happened, what he did to fix it, and that his patch might not fully take because of the wet conditions. The next day I noticed the leaking again (much smaller), and Mike came out right away and repaired it at no additional cost. He also inspected the roof, and gave us a very reasonably priced quote
He was knowledgeable, polite, and fast. A very hard worker, who doesn't overcharge. I will be hiring him to maintain the roof at my house when the time comes.
The 6 other roofing companies I called didn't respond, or waited a day or two to return my calls. Mike had already done the work before I heard form any of them.

I Hired Mike to do maintenance on my Tar and Gravel Roof in Daly city. I also needed a new chimney cover as well as other lid replacements. Mike offered a very fair price and put in time and effort greater than he charged. I actually offered in the end to pay an additional 10 percent because he went above and beyond what we agreed to and he didn't ask for a dime over what we agreed. It is rare to see this level of follow through and effort. If you want a hard worker that gets a job done on time with quality I would recommend him.

Needed a (hopefully) quick repair for a (hopefully) minor roof leak; Mike/Dandy responded quickly to an online request, showed up on time to inspect the issue, and spent an hour working very hard to install a thorough fix that will, hopefully, work during the next storm. Price was fair, Mike was friendly and detailed in his assessment of the problem and the repair, and very expedient in handling the whole thing. A very positive experience overall.

I am a big Craigslist user and supporter but unfortunately I responded to the ""all around"" handy man Nick who advertises as a skylight /roof expert in 19 of the 20 posts in the ""skilled trade"" section and specifies ""he is no contractor"", the one thing I can agree with and experienced first hand.
I thank my lucky stars for finding Mike, owner of Dandy Roofing, through the redundant and overly abundant posts by ""Nick"". Mike answered the phone on a Sunday afternoon (a rarity, impressed already at that point) and I easily was able to schedule him for the following day due to the extreme (new installation) skylight leak. Mike arrived on time (another rarity for many in the trades) and explained exactly what the previous installer did ""wrong"" on the recent installation and why it leaked on first rain fall. His price was very reasonable to tear apart all of the previous installation and do it correctly. It's rained very hard since and so far so good! I'm convinced after reading about his good work ethic, attention to detail and fair prices, that I will be hiring him for other work which we did discuss (new overhead stove fan/light,vent, through ceiling etc). When discussing whole roof options, another rarity is he said my roof appears to be fine and maybe a few years down the road I could use another protective coating or whatever it is called. I tell you, this gentleman is legit and not out to rip people off as I have experienced. If you want the job done right the first time and save yourself a headache and future $ problems, hire Mike who has integrity and a great work ethic, I'm glad I did...If you see this Mike - Thanks again for a job well done!!

Mike Price has edited his response over ten times in the last week. Each time he adds more insults and lies. Aside from being a grammatical nightmare, isn't his response a violation of the Terms of Use? Ask yourself if you want to do business with a person who post lies, baseless accusations, and slander in response to what I posted. Mike verbally attacked me and bullied me in response to what I posted last weekend. And yes, I saved the texts and will gladly show them to any Yelper, Yelp Administration, or the police.
